Introductions

Welcome to the Forum!

I'm Dubu. A Chicago based player who only recently got into Pathfinder as a way to rebel against AD&D 4eD. I've been gaming about 25 years.

Re: Introductions

I've been RPing since I was Eight. I'm Twenty Nine now. So I have twenty one years of gaming knowledge. I have amassed to large bookshelves filled with different RPGs. Here is a list of what I have Hard Copy. http://thruxus.shadows-angels.com/List.txt I've been playing Pathfinder since its Alpha release, and Playtesting. Been an avid fan since its incarnation. I tired 4th Edition for a few months, and ended up hating it from the get go. Recently. I've been expanding my Hard Copy Collection of Pathfinder books, and Have included the APG to the above list. When Income tax season rolls around I plan on picking up a few of the compiled adventure Paths.

I've ran a BUNCH of games here on RPOL, mostly D&D and Whitewolf's World of Darkness settings. I tend to run great games, but they die off a bunch of the time. Due to personal things or issues. I've come and gone a bunch over the years here on RPOL. Right now I am running the Carrion Crown Adventure Path, and its going great. But I think that is because were using Yahoo and having nightly sessions where we are all online.

Anyways, Hope this Forum can get off the ground. I'd love to bounce ideas off of other Pathfinder Players.

Re: Introductions

Hello all,

Been roleplaying on and off for about fifteen years. Took a break for a while due to school right about when 3.5 came out. Got back into it a year or so ago, with my roommate who was into 4e (currently running a couple 4e games now). Don't really have the hate for it as some others, but I recently got into Pathfinder and I like it quite a bit more. I especially like the modules, certainly better than most of the stuff put out by WotC.

I recently got my hands on the Lands of the Linorm Kings book, and have been itching to run a game in that setting (especially since I've been playing Skyrim so much).

Re: Introductions

Hi,

Great Cthulhu here (no...not Him). I've been RPing steadily since the early 80s with all sorts of systems but D&D has always been prominent in all its forms. Now its Pathfinder!

Currently I've been running the Slumbering Tsar series of modules from Frog God games.

Re: Introductions

I started roleplaying only 4 years ago. Yeah I know kinda late, so mostly play roleplay dnd in RL but was always interested in all kind of systems, so started looking online for other venues to play these systems. My group converted to Pathfinder in 2009 and right now, I'm dming an urban campaign that has been going on from level 1 to level 10 so far, and will end at around level 15-16.

Re: Introductions

Hi folks,

I've been RPing for about 18-19 years now (since I was 7!). I've played many, many different kinds of games, and enjoyed most of them. Pathfinder is my current favorite incarnation of D&D, though I've played BD&D (my first RPG), AD&D2e, 3e, 3.5, and 4e.

I don't often run games online, though I've considered starting up a small Pathfinder game in a Wild West-ish homebrew setting at some point.

Anyway, cheers.

Re: Introductions

Recent Pathfinder player here...perhaps a year and a half at most.

Started back in the late 80's with D&D, Battletech, Star Wars d6 and a bit later with 40k when Necromunda was new and from there branched out into a whole lotta others.

Right now Rpol is my primary source since all my existing groups have moved onto greener pastures far away from the muggy swampland known as Tallahassee, Florida that for some arcane reason is the Capitol of the state...

Miss my homeland of Chicago...how is the weather these days?  Miss the snow. :)

Re: Introductions

Greetings and salutations!
I too have been playing rpg's since I was around six or seven, I am now twenty seven, starting with semifreeform and advancing to dnd. Since then I've played a lot of different games including WoD (old and new), ADnD, Wh40k (every line released so far) and more. Like many others I prefer Pathfinder to the abomination that is 4e and am currently running my second attempt at gm'ing a PF game here on RPOL.

Re: Introductions

Hey everyone.

I've been gaming since I was about 11 years old (and I'll be 37 in April, to give you an idea of how long ago that was... over a quarter of a century!), starting with D&D, and going from there through quite a few systems (Cyberpunk 2020, Marvel FASERIP, World of Darkness, back to D&D 3.5, an unfortunate jaunt through 4th edition D&D, and now Pathfinder).  I've played in a few games here on RPoL and even run a couple, which unfortunately died out due to unfortunate circumstances.

For what it's worth, I like in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, and am planning on setting up a game for my wife and 5-year old son.  :)

Re: Introductions

Hey all.

Not too unfamiliar with the various systems, just haven't ever got a chance to really learn a system in depth, and I'm also lacking a few books. Been playing RPG's for a good time, since I've been about fifteen. Been mostly playing Pathfinder IRL on table top, but a lack of interested parties in my city seems to have stopped me dead in my tracks.

Beyond that, got into Pathfinder since I didn't like 4e and 3.5 simply didn't seem as entertaining. That and Pathfinder isn't horribly broken and overloaded by pointless and, at times, contradictory supplement books.

Re: Introductions

Hi all!

I'm GM'ing two PF games right now, in a custom world.  I'm never been especially happy about playing in games where the GM is using a packaged scenario -- I think that people have more passion about a world that they've created.  My world has been under development, in one fashion or another, since 1978 when I first started playing D&D.

I wonder if anyone is interested in chatting about rules modifications.  For instance, I have a modification to the skill rules, because I don't think PF got it right, either.  I'd be glad for feedback on them.

Re: Introductions

Hey there.  I'm Jarilye, and I've been on rpol for a while now.  Been playing PF for a few months, and I'm pretty familiar with it.  Generally I enjoy unusual stories and opportunities in terms of character creation, but I'm not averse to modules.  I find they tend to have a higher survivability here.

At this point, I'm mostly a player due to my schedule, which is currently preventing me from investing the time it would take to GM.
