Re: The Wreckage

Oglo also tried to sense any deception or attempts to trick himself or Willmar...

Also a Perception check, not sure if you want me to roll again or just use the same roll.

Re: The Wreckage

Oglo can sense nothing out of the ordinary about the area or the two men facing them but the Ithorian gets the distinct impression that despite their friendly words the pair have an ill intent.

Re: The Wreckage

"My mistake, friend," Willmar calls to the group while casually meandering backward toward cover.  His hand moves to the blaster rifle under his cloak and he silently prays that he doesn't have to use it.  Trouble was the last thing they needed right now, and without backup even a fair fight could be dangerous.  "We got the wrong location, I suppose.  We'll be going now."

OOC: Moving toward (Q,5) and assuming Olgo will follow a similar plan.

Oglo moves out next to Willmar, keeping his hand not too far from his blaster but not making any moves either apart from staying with Willmar.

Re: The Wreckage

“Your mistake and you’re in the wrong place” the twi’lek chorused but then with a shake of his tendrils “but you ain’t going nowhere. Bad for business, see” he explained as the pair raised their blasters.

Wreckage Fight Map

OOC Please roll Initiative and give me your actions if you beat the hunters 21. Willmar has cover and can attack. Oglo has improved cover but will have to move if he wants to attack with a blaster, for example Q3 or P7 would provide cover and allow attacks as Oglo could shoot around the corners.

10:50, Today: Willmar Sutherland rolled 16 using 1d20+7. Initiative.

OOC:  What sort of action is talking via comlink?  I'm thinking it would be prudent to call the others for backup ASAP.

Re: The Wreckage

As Willmar and Oglo dived for cover the two bounty hunters took their time to aim at Willmar but still their shots were off target.

OOC The two bounty hunter both aim and fire at Willmar, ignoring cover but still missing.

Retrieving an item from a holster, utility belt or bandolier is a Move Action, from anywhere else it’s 2 Move Actions. Activating an item is a Swift Action. Talking is a Free Action

Re: The Wreckage

Willmar, annoyed at the turn of events, draws his blaster and returns fire.  "Olgo," he suggests to the Ithorian, "Comlink the others and let them know what happened.  We may have to beat feet outta here if their aim improves at all."

Move       : Draw Blaster Rifle
Standard   : Attack Human Hunter

16:57, Today: Willmar Sutherland rolled 16 using 3d8. Damage vs. Human Hunter.
16:56, Today: Willmar Sutherland rolled 17 using 1d20+3. Attack vs. Human Hunter.

OOC:  How far away from the rest of the group are Olgo and Willmar?  As in, is it viable to simply flee from the encounter by outrunning the hunters?

Re: The Wreckage

A single blast of Willmar’s rifle knocks the bounty hunter off his feet, the man’s clothing charred and smoking as they lay lifeless on the sandy floor.

OOC Oglo up next, I’ll give him a couple of days to respond before moving things on. Oglo may not have a comlink to call the rest of the team but he does have the telepathy ability.

From the wreckage to the hangar is one street away, so its a short run either to flee or for back-up to arrive.

Re: The Wreckage

Oglo moves back a bit and concentrates on Lyla's mind. He reaches out and communicates with her.

"Help."

Move: Move back up to 6 squares.
Standard: Telepathic communication with the rest of the party.
14:21, Today: Oglo Obwatt rolled 22 using 1d20+8. Use the Force.

Ignore the dice roll for a blaster--forgot what I was doing until I re-read the thread.

Re: The Wreckage

OOC Telepathic communication is a lot slower than normal communication. The rules allow one word or one emotion to be conveyed by one standard action. The communication is two-way though so Lyla can speak back to Oglo, if she uses a standard action to reply. Out of combat this can allow a comprehensive abet slow conversation, in combat however it limits the information that can be passed on. It might be worth the team getting together to create some kind of code words to speed things up abit.

I've edited the posts effected by this rule.

Re: The Wreckage

His companion down the twi’lek dived for cover whilst returning fire at Willmar across the wreckage.

OOC Twi’lek moves to D7 and blasts at Willmar but misses at without aiming he needs to roll a natural 20.

It will take Oglo 16 rounds to reach the Docking Bay moving at normal speed, 8 rounds if he double moves, or 4 rounds is he running sacrificing any Defence.

Re: The Wreckage

Instinctively Willmar tracks the Twi'lek as he moves and the soldier lets loose one precise shot in that direction.  "Hold on, Olgo," he suggests, "Let's see if maybe he's lost the fighting spirit now."

2 Swift    : Aim (Ignore target's cover bonus)
Standard   : Attack Twi’lek Hunter

12:36, Today: Willmar Sutherland rolled 18 using 3d8. Damage vs. Twi’lek Hunter.
12:36, Today: Willmar Sutherland rolled 17 using 1d20+3. Attack vs. Twi’lek Hunter

OOC:  If that shot didn't kill him, Willmar will call to him and ask for his surrender.

The twi'lek barely reached the safer spot behind some debris when Willmar proved his mettle by accurately shooting him between the head tails. The twi'lek collapsed to the ground.

Re: The Wreckage

"Yeah," Willmar finishes, "just as I thought.  No fighting spirit left at all.  Olgo, do you sense any other danger?  I'm about ready to call this a wash, and just get the heck out of here to rendezvous back with the others."

With blaster still in hand, the soldier moves through the wreckage to check the bodies for clues to their employment and other valuables.  "I wonder if Puggles Trodd set us up by coming here," he muses aloud.  Looking down at the bodies the thought becomes clear to him, "another dead end."

OOC:  Hurray for lucky dice rolls.

Re: The Wreckage

Both bounty hunters are dead. Neither seems particular noteworthy but look like common thugs, most likely locals from their dust stained clothes. Their main possessions are their blaster pistols although the human also carried a vibroknife sheathed on his belt.
