Return to Docking Bay 94

The sky is dark and the wind cold by the time they left the cantina. Leaving behind the noise of the people and the cantina band, the streets are quiet except for the rustling of the wind through the marketplace and the sounds of soft footfalls in the shadows. Sticking together they find their way safely back to Docking Bay 94. Klyn is still busy cleaning sand out of the engines and grumbles as the others return.

"Well, that was a bust." Lyla complained as they got back inside the Gold, tossing her coat over her chair. "No clue on Tallon, and we went and lost our only lead too. Some rebels we are... How's things here, Klyn?"

Re: Return to Docking Bay 94

The mechanic shook his head, his long hair swaying “not good. The engine wasn’t designed for this kind of abuse. She won’t be flying anywhere for a couple of days, I’ve still plenty to do to get her spaceworthy” Klyn complained.

Re: Return to Docking Bay 94

Lyla looked askance at Klyn. "Abuse? Why, what have you done to her?" she teased.

She flopped down into a seat. Just a few moments rest, then she could go have a shower and get the sand out of her tails. She sighed. So they were trapped here. By the time they'd found Tallon and were able to leave, they probably could have flown to Polmanar, finished the last job, and come back to the second. She bit her tongue, trying not to get all I-told-you-so on them.

"Help."

Lyla looked around, startled by the words. It didn't come from her comlink. "Who said that? Is Oglo back?" she asked, rising from her seat. "They're in trouble."

Re: Return to Docking Bay 94

A voice fills Lyla's head a few moments later.

"Situation is under control. We are returning to the Docking Bay. Stay where you are."

Re: Return to Docking Bay 94

Lyla felt dizzy as whole sentences filled her head now; it was clearly Oglo's voice this time. "Okay." she answered, then tried thinking it loudly back. "It seems they're fine now." she told the others.

Only a few minutes later, Oglo rounds the corner, waving an all's-clear wave to Willmar as he enters the docking bay. He seems calm, as he always does.

Lyla rounded on Oglo and Willmar, confused and worried. "What the frack's going on? I heard you... thinking at me. What's going on?" she asked, full of questions.

Mallox asked, "Did you find anything?" He got from from where he had been sitting, "We didn't find anything."

Willmar too seems grim.  His mood is one of failure at having not made any progress for the team.  "Nothing I couldn't handle, it seems; but no leads either.  Waste of time..."

Re: Return to Docking Bay 94

"Well come on in and rest." Mallox replied. He clapped both on the shoulder as they passed, "Dead leads are still good in that we know we don't need to chase those down any further. So there's still some good we did today."

"Can't imagine that finding Talon would be an easy task. He had everybody believe that he's been dead for so many years. We'll recap what we know so far and make a plan for tomorrow."
