Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

Zerrek's eyes seemed to be glued to Lyla for a while, before his hunger took him back to his cereal, however he seemed to keep an eye on her, he wasn't quite used to having aboard yet and he was still fairly young. However he listened properly while she talked about Talon, it was why they were there afterall. He swalloed the mouthful he had been chew, pointing his spoon at Lyla "I was just thinking that, Tallon might not be hiding in Mos Eisley at all, I mean it'd be easy to find a man of renown in a place like this, information networks must have a field day here" He spooned another mouthful to him "We could try that place where Labria was supposing to be helping, the thugs? They might have some infomations, but we are running low on cash..."

Oglo cocks his big head. "Would it not be wise to join with the bounty hunters and use them as a means of sniffing Tallon out?"

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

Lyla was amused by Zerrek's gaze. Yep, still got it. With a small ship and crew she needed to be familiar with, privacy was a limited resource in her opinion, and she didn't mind. She didn't think she was inappropriately dressed anyway. "I know, Tallon could be in Anchorhead, he could be in a cave in the desert, for all we know."

"Labria works for someone named Slag Flats, but as she runs a gang, I'm thinking that tracking her down too could be more trouble than we need."

"The bounty hunters might know more about Tallon's whereabouts; Dana hardly gave us the full story. Can you get the info out of them? Can you still trust them after last night?"
she asked Oglo and Willmar.

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

Zerrek coughed into his hand as he was caught staring, quickly returning to the conversation "Yeah, but pretty much everyone so far, wants to kill us..." Zerrek put it bluntly, he always told it as it is "I think all of them are as good as each other, I don't mind doing a bit of scouting myself, been wanting to use the speeder bike for a while now." He said that last part fondly, everyone knew that he loved that old bike.

Oglo shrugs. "Those bounty hunters last night said they were hired by someone else entirely. I feel that the bounty hunters are a good lead."

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

Lyla looked around, wondering when Mallox, Willmar and Klyn would be getting up to join them for breakfast. Her show was wasted on just two. Musing over a few bites of flakes, she said "Yeah, those bounty hunters have got to know more than anyone else about where Tallon is meant to be. We need to catch up."

Looking for something sweet to add to her breakfast, she dragged over the jar of honey and unscrewed the lid. Finding it nearly empty, she dipped her right head-tail in, letting the writhing orange tip swirl around to get a good coating, before she withdrew it, dripping. She held the end of her tail up and licked the running honey approvingly. "Where're you planning to ride your speeder bike to?" she asked casually, idly sucking on her tail as she cleaned out the jar, the tail-tip getting into all the hard-to-reach places. "If you're riding for pleasure, the podracing circuit should be a good run."

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

Mallox apparently woke up by the sounds coming from his cabin aboard the ship. After several minutes, he emerged. "It's hot. Why is it so hot?" Mallox said to nobody in particular.

He dropped into a seat he found. "Alright" Mallox looked around and tried to get into the flow of the discussion. "Bounty Hunters. And we have Labria, who works for Slag Flats."

"Are these two the best options we have right now?"

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

Zerrek finished his cereal and leaned back in his seat, throwing the spoon into the bowl as he did, watching it clatter into the bowl and smiled as he got it in. He turned his head to watch Lyla, he was never sure if she did those things on purpose but he answered her "I'd rather do something more than just for pleasure but if it comes down to it....Later at least, feel free to come along." He offers everyone.

He quickly turned to Mallox "Seems like it...I rather go with the Hunters, at least then we are working together" He thinks out loud, scratching his chin in thought.

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

It was fair to say that they had few leads to follow but it was only the start of their hunt. The whereabouts of Labria or Slag Flats were unknown, although people did know them so they would be easier to find than Tallon. Puggles Trodd and his posse would be gathering outside the Cantina right about now, if the bounty hunter could be trusted he might be able to lead them to Tallon if the team followed.

"I'd like to hire a dewback. They're a good way to ride around town." Lyla said, still cleaning out the honey jar.

"If we follow the bounty hunters, we can get any new leads, more than we can just by ourselves. Then we can run ahead and poach Tallon before they come for him."

Zerrek chuckles as Lyla's point "So basically, we just deal with later rather than now" He points out "I doubt they'll be happy with us....I'm sure they'll hold a grudge too." He mumbles before pushing himself off the table and standing up "But lets do it, we need to get Tallon before them, this is our best bet...Let's just roll with it" He agrees as he starts going around the room, picking up his things.

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

After getting ready for another day in the sweltering suns of Tatooine everyone left the docking bay and headed toward the cantina. The streets were crowded with people and vehicles again. The cacophony of noise and the trample of people an obstruction but by the time they reached the cantina it didn’t seemed to matter that it was past first dawn, as a bumbling crowd of bounty hunter still stood around in a disorganised rabble. There was no sign of the diminutive Puggles Trodd but instead a twi’lek was busily checking people off on the datapad Puggles had used yesterday to register them. Many of the bounty hunters were already growing restless and it seemed that either they would wander off or start fighting each other soon.

Willmar was groggy this morning.  He'd spent a long while in the shower and missed the breakfast conversation, but on the up side his hair smelled flowery fresh.  Noticing the bounty-hunters in line, he nodded to Olgo.  "Well, let's sign in, I suppose."  Looking to the others he added "Perhaps you all should see if you can get added to the list and join us.  Unless you have other matters to attend to."

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

"Don't think I do." Lyla said as she watched the crowd of bounty hunters. With all those aggressive personalities and weapons waiting in the desert heat, it didn't seem all that safe. "Besides, after your misadventures last night, I think you'll need the back-up."

"But if we're going to poach the prize, maybe not all of us should be known to the hunters. That'd make it easier for the rest of us to head off and find Tallon first."

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

Registering with the twi’lek Willmar and Oglo were assigned to go wait with some of the other bounty hunters. An assortment of skiffs, repulsorlift sleds and landspeeders had been gathered beside the cantina to which the twi’lek began to assign people. From his directions the vehicles were to be broken into two separate groups and sent in different directions. Willmar and Oglo were kept together and told to wait on a skiff that would be heading north-west whilst the other group would be heading roughly eastward.

Oglo sensed no threat beyond the close proximity of such a large crowd of gunslingers, bounty hunters and mercenaries all stood together in the baking desert sun.

OOC: Plus me soloing could get dull. And maybe the GM won't want us to split the party and run two games. :)

Re: Mos Eisley - Day Two

The twi’lek was busy trying to allocate all the recruits Puggles signed up yesterday to different transports when Mallox, Lyla and Zerrek approached to sign up. Flustered he moaned about the sign up day being held in the cantina the day before and asked why they hadn’t done it then. However with some complaint he accepted them but warned “you’ll only receive half pay today, now get on that skiff before this ends up a nocturnal hunt”.
