Leaving Mos Eisley?

After more waiting around the skiff heads off to leave Mos Eisley, the crowded streets slowing them down further so that it was afternoon by the time the skiff with the team of rebels and five other bounty hunters aboard were near the edge of town. Then as they were about to leave they heard a pained scream behind them. The scream came from a shadowy alley, in the alley there were three figures beating a fourth. As one of the figures steps into the light everyone can see him pull out a blaster and threaten the beaten person “you’re gonna tell us what we want, or you’re gonna end up real dead!”

Oglo looks at the others. "Shall we intervene?" he asks hopefully.

Re: Leaving Mos Eisley?

Looking around suspiciously, Willmar sadly shakes his head in response to Oglo.  "We're supposed to be bounty-hunters now... and besides, we have a grander quest to complete.  It's best to not draw any suspicion to ourselves at the moment so we should probably only get involved if the other bounty-hunters start to do anything about it first."  The warrior sighed, though his gaze lingered long toward the ally and the commotion.

Re: Leaving Mos Eisley?

Zerrek kept his eye on the group of thugs beating up the 4th, but he didn't make any sudden movements, waiting for the others to finish talking, he looked over to Will as he kept his eyes on them "....Just leave it to me...I'll catch up." He spoke in a low voice to them as he slowly broke off from the group, sneaking his way over to the alley way, letting the others move off the the hunters. He looked back in case another moved other to help, however he was sure he had the advantage of surprise on them.

19:49, Today: Zerrek Lyell rolled 22 using 1d20+8. Stealth.

What would the Reflex defense be on the Pistol in his hand be? Just waiting in case anyone else wants to be a hero :D

Re: Leaving Mos Eisley?

Tera frowned as she saw the bounty hunters hit the other guy for information as she walked past the alley. It was part of daily life in Mos Eisley, survival of the fittest, but she wouldn't let it stand. Maybe the victim actually knew something that could help her...or at least provide a place to crash for a day or two. Knowing she seemed dressed as a native. She stopped walking forwards and headed back into the shadowy alley.

"What are you doing here with this guy?" Tera said affecting a tattoinian accent. "Shouldn't you be on the other side of Mos Eisley?" huffing her cheeks as if someone screwed up royally and she was going to have to be the one to sort it out she walked forward. "Okay...which one were you sent to get?"

18:56, Today: Tera Inkari rolled 24 using 1d20+8. Deception.

Re: Leaving Mos Eisley?

Lyla grimaced as she saw the gangsters tormenting the other. Another day in Mos Eisley. Despite standing up to the thugs in the store yesterday, happening right in front of her, she was no heroine to barge in and save the day. It wasn't the Twi'lek way. A dozen justifications arose. Getting involved often just made a situation worse. Maybe the victim would be smart and talk, maybe the gangsters were just bluffing. The gangsters were practically the legitimate authority here, anyway. They had a bigger mission to worry about. Maybe Zerrek and that woman would sort it out better. So she muttered the time-honoured excuse of "Not my concern." and looked away to the desert.

Mallox stayed aboard the skiff. He saw that Zerrek managed to slip off. He turned to the being that appeared to be in charge. "So where are we headed exactly? Which frequency would want us to use when we report in?"

Re: Leaving Mos Eisley?

The activity and noise in the busy streets of Mos Eisley offered Zerrek plenty of opportunity to escape the skiff and reach the side of the street near to the alley without being noticed by anyone. In the alley Tera confronted the bullies which if nothing else distracted them from their punishment of the unfortunate being that cowered on the ground.

It however was not enough to get the thugs to give up and walk away. The man with the pistol in his hand sneered at Tera “who are you?” he waved his blaster about dangerously as he gauged what threat Tera offered.

Back on the skiff, the pilot a rodian shrugged his shoulders to Mallox “out in the desert” when whispered to the rodian leaned closer to hear what Mallox had to say then nodded

OOC I love your thinking Zerrek but unfortunately the Ranged Disarm is a Gunslinger Talent that’s way beyond the current abilities of any of the team. Aside from that Zerrek is well hidden near to the entrance of the alley.

Two of the thugs are completely taken with Tera’s lies but the other two find her story implausible.

I’ve not had time to prepare a map but for reference the 4 thugs will be in the alleyway with Tera at its opening where it joins the main street and Zerrek will be hiding just around the corner. Zerrek can see and hear everything that is going on. I’ll do a map if we end up needing one.

Mallox patted the rodian on the back. He said a few words as he checked the view. "How deep into the desert will we go today?"

Re: Leaving Mos Eisley?

"And what exactly will we do when we get there?" Lyla added and trying to sound tough like a bounty hunter. She couldn't believe the plan was simply going to be combing the desert, they had to have a lead. But it was one that required a skiff-load of hunters.

Re: Leaving Mos Eisley?

Zerrek slowly pulled his pistol out of his holster as he peeped around the corner of the alleyway, the lady had manged to send two of them away, for a second he believe her to be their ringleader but the other two didn't seem to recognize her, making he doubt the first conclusion that he'd come to.

He didn't want the situation to turn out of his favor, he readied his pistol in case the lady couldn't ward them off with speech, turning it to stun before hand though.

Move Action: Draw Pistol
Ready Action: Fire Pistol if Tera is in danger.
Swift: Switch to Stun.

Since I readied by pistol, I get to act before my next turn if Tera is put in danger and shoot one of the gangsters.

Re: Leaving Mos Eisley?

[Language unknown: “Ad”] the rodian acknowledged Mallox “we’ve been told to go this way until we find the target” he patted the blaster holstered at his waist “then we capture him”.

The thugs wait for Tera’s response.
