Following Shrike

Left in the lobby Tera can only see one exit. The one Shrike left through. Through the doorway Tera can see a circular corridor which must run through the entire fort, offering access to every chamber. Tera saw that Shrike went right and travelled in an anti-clockwise direction.

Re: Following Shrike

"I'm sure the others will be along shortly. Speaking of your commander, what might his name be?" Tera looked inquisitively at the alien, intensively watching him for a reaction "Is the name Kast....or Tallon?"

Re: Following Shrike

Tera followed the alien's path, carefully, though she curiously peeked into the rooms as she passed looking for anything that seemed...out of place. She thought it rather odd that she was treated so dismissively when so many people seemed to bu hunting for Tallon or antagonistic towards Kast. She followed Shrike, jogging to keep up with him, although behind him.

OOC....a use your feelings perhaps?

OOC That's a full round action so Tera will have to stop walking. If you want to try it make the roll.

Re: Following Shrike

Tera stopped walking for a moment, the more things progressed, the uneasier she felt. She reached out trying to feel....she didn't know what and felt foolish for the trying. She thought she felt the deeper connection to things, but it evaporated when she tried to feel it. Shaking her head she ran to catch up with the alien again.

Re: Following Shrike

Perhaps Tera had spent too long around Oglo, influenced by his strange mysticism. Tera tried to clear her mind to see some glimpse of the future. Her mind was clouded however. In the middle of what she considered the enemies fortress was not the ideal training ground for what was a task which took great practice and mental calmness to achieve. Maybe the blankness that she felt and the difficulty of the task would serve her to offer the Ithorian mystic more respect in future.

Heedless of Tera’s delay or discomfort Shrike moved on until he came to a door. The door slid open and he stood at the threshold to allow Tera entry. From inside the room Tera can here a pipe organ playing a melancholy tune.

Re: Following Shrike

Tera moved forwards into the room, unsure what to make of the instrument. She peered cautiously around the room looking for some kind of information on who it might be. After crossing the threshold she entered. "Do I wait here or do you have something else for me to do?"

Re: Following Shrike

The chamber has a high domed ceiling and lavish furnishing. Strange alien musical instruments are displayed around the room, creating an exotic musical museum. A massive pipe organ sits against the far wall, pouring out a melancholy tune from the days of the Old Republic. An old man, dressed in a plain black tunic sips from a long thin glass. He raises his glass “only one of you?” he asked questionably.

"More than one, but only one here...for the time being of course. The others will come once we know your name. No offence, but we've been jumped by bounty hunters at every turn. So I'm the one at risk. May I know to whom I am speaking?" Tera asked. "Interesting choice in decor. Not...entirely what I might expect."

The stern faced commanding old man replied “I am Adar Tallon” with that a woman entered the room and stood to stand next to her husband’s side. Also joining him came Shrike and a fair skinned human with blonde hair and beard. The blonde man is dressed in a long cape and he keeps his hands hidden.

“Who are you?” he asked as his companions surrounded and protected him.

Re: Following Shrike

"I am Tera Inkari. We've been looking for you and unfortunately so have all of the bounty hunters on Tattoine. A nasty one by the name of Jodo Kast first and foremost among them. I don't think you're safe here any more." she nodded to Shrike. "I'll call my friends to come in now. An Ilthorian, a twi'lek and a human. Anyone else appears you may strongly wish to shoot them."

Tera closed her eyes, trying to reach Oglo and let him know it was safe. Well, not safe, but in comparison more safe than hanging around outside the fort. "It is safe to come in, Adar is here." Tera blinked, it still wasn't happening. She was going to have to spend more time trying to learn this. "Do one of you have a commlink I could borrow?"

Re: Following Shrike

“Why have you been looking for me?” the commander asked. Tallon first officer Shrike stood at ease and remained calm, his rifle now propped against one of the musical instruments. His three fingers hands playing across the keypad of the computer strapped to his battle armour. The caped man was more nervous and kept his hands hidden.

Trust was yet to be earned and Tallon shook his head at Tera’s request “I think not. Why don’t you tell me where they are and I will send my men to bring them here?”

[OOC There is both good and bad news regarding Tera’s telepathy. The good news is that as Oglo is a willing recipient she can try again, each try taking 6 seconds. The bad news is that Tera can only communicate emotions or a single thought. For example she could exchange the emotion ‘safe’ or the thought ‘come’. Not a complex message. When using the power try thinking of the scenes in the films when it used. Obi Wan told Luke to ‘run’ or when Luke called out to Leia it is was just ‘help me’.]

Re: Following Shrike

"I don't know the details specifically, but the group I'm with are part of the Alliance, and I believe they need you back....or at least safe after all of the bounty hunters that are coming to get you. Have you heard of Jodo Kast?" Tera tried to reach out to Oglo, she couldn't feel him. She was beginning to think this thing was just doomed not to work. "There's no need General, the others will come soon."

Re: Following Shrike

“If you know so little then we should wait for your companions to join us” Tallon crossed his arms and made to wait. The melancholy music continued. Shrike continued his constant tapping on his computer whilst the blonde caped man eyed Tera suspicious “Kast is a Mandalorian, dangerous and deadly” he answered Tera and informed Tallon.

Re: Following Shrike

"A good decision. I'd normally let you know where they are, but tensions are high. I don't want there to be any possibility of an altercation. Let them come here freely." Tera nodded "A Mandalorian. Are you sure? Poison seems like something only the weak use, and every victim he's claimed recently has been by poison." The surrounding and music helped Tera relax, enough that she thought she got the message 'safe' out to Oglo.  "I have to say that Jodo is leaving an increasingly large trail of victims around him. I would hope that you've made certain safeguards for yourself. I would urge you to consider leaving Tattoine. Whatever security you had through obfuscation is gone. The Empire knows you are here."

Re: Following Shrike

“Yes the Empire has become more persistent. Palpatine’s agents have also become more ingenious since I last dealt with them” Tallon said stern faced “what is it he hopes you to achieve Imperial Officer Inkari?” with a wave of his hand the music stops and he waits for Tera’s answer. His voice is commanding and he makes it clear that Tera’s life depends on her answer.

Re: Following Shrike

Tera breathed deeply. "I was an officer of the Imperial Navy at one point in my life. I have not been in the Navy for quite some time. I cannot profess to know what the Emperor wants as I do not know or care what he wants. If you know my second name, then you know what the Empire has accused me of. It is a fabrication. A lie. A convenient way to rid themselves of an officer with a conscience. I tried to fight it within the system and failed, failed to the point I ended up here hiding like yourself on a backwater planet which the Empire does not pay much attention to." Tera looked at Tallon's eyes. "I was an officer in the Imperial Navy, medical corps if you care to look. I was a scientist, not a ships officer, and my research was suborned to create a horrific weapon. I am not your enemy, nor the Emperor's pawn. The rebellion put me here to put me somewhere out of the way where I wouldn't be found, but I fear that all the activity on the planet with bounty hunters looking for you, has made this place no longer safe for me either."

Re: Following Shrike

Tera frowned trying to reach Oglo. Her mind focussed on the feeling of Oglo. When she had the picture in her mind she tried pulsing the feeling of "come here" to him as she waited for the judgement from Tallon.
