Meeting Tallon

The old commander frowned at Tera. Her reply was glib and followed much of Tallon’s own experience of the Emperor and his reason for being on Tatooine. Perhaps it was too convenient that she was here now confessing to him “so after hiding you come here just as an Imperial bounty is placed on my head. Very convenient” to put emphasis on his theory two soldiers, one male and one female entered the room. They walked in rifles ready and aimed at Tera.

The calmness need to connect with Oglo was stifled by the new threat and Tera’s mental message failed.

Re: Meeting Tallon

Tera raised her hands instantly as the soldiers pointed their rifles at her. "Convenient? You call this convenient? You brought every bounty hunter in the galaxy to Tattoine and here am I sitting with a price on my head too, and you call it convenient? You chose this place, instantly making it nigh on impossible for me to stay here and I was doing well. No imperials setting foot anywhere close and I was alive and thriving and then they all come here for you and you know what the worst thing is? They're not here for me, they're here for you, but I'll get swallowed up along with you by a hunter looking for some chump change to pay for expenses in hunting you down. Your presence on this planet has killed every friend I've ever had on this planet and you think it's convenient?" Tera gritted her teeth "I wish I was an Imperial agent, if I were there would be stormtrooper legions surrounding this place to get rid of you once and for all."

The connection she'd been feeling to her surroundings and the people in it all vanished in an instant. She could no longer feel Oglo and Layla as part of her circle, that part of things was gone, all she had was herself and Tallon.

Re: Meeting Tallon

As Ares held his repeating rifle at the much smaller human woman standing before the Commander, he was slightly taken aback by her apparent age and striking features. She's looks like a kid... he thought to himself. "Imperial spies have a way with words, Sir. This pretty one is not to be trusted. Especially one with her...reputation." he said gruffly, never taking his eyes off of the woman before him. "She is trying to gain our sympathy so that we let our guard down." Ares tightened his grip on the rifle. "Orders, Sir?"

Re: Meeting Tallon

"My reputation? Yes, it makes perfect sense to use me as a spy because of it. In fact, it's almost a prerequisite to be wanted by the Empire for genocide to be a spy, it makes it so much easier to move around planetary populations. Those bounty hunters won't shoot at me on sight, no sir. Oh, and it also makes sense to make my move as a spy now instead of years ago when I first arrived here." she glared at the lunkhead soldier, who was really well armed, not daring to lower her hands.

Re: Meeting Tallon

"Or your reputation could be fabricated by the Empire specifically for the fact that people would think there is no possible way you would be helping them. See, to me, that DOES make perfect sense. 'There's no WAY she's an Imperial spy because she is wanted by the Empire. Lets just welcome her with open arms.' You see, there is reason to be suspicious and since I've never seen you before I, myself, will remain suspicious of you until you prove yourself!" Said Ares with a smug look on his face.

Re: Meeting Tallon

Tera stared at the man almost not believing the words coming out of his mouth. "I don't know how long you've ever had problems with the Empire, but let me say this. The Empire is not subtle. It does not need to be. They would have no problems with landing 40 stormtrooper legions here and blasting everyone if they needed to. I think you credit the Empire with too much deviousness. Consider this, if I were a spy for the empire, what would give me greater credibility to you. A record of insurrection and gun running or one of Genocide? Seriously." Tera tried reaching out with her mind again, but it still wasn't coming easily. She was too frightened by the people pointing blasters at her.

Re: Meeting Tallon

"I see your point but I still don't put it past em'. Espionage is an useful tool for any military, even one as large and powerful as the Empire. You always need intel." Ares could tell the woman was nervous and possibly even scared. That was good sign that she may be telling the truth. Still, he didn't let his eyes, or his rifle off of her while he awaited Tallons orders.

Re: Meeting Tallon

The debate between Ares and Tera was watched carefully by their audience. Tallon stood impassive then interrupted with a simple question “so Officer Inkari if I accept your reason for being here. What would you have me do now?”

Re: Meeting Tallon

"I don't know, General Tallon. Given the number and viciousness of the hunters coming to get you, I'd suggest you withdraw and go somewhere else. My friends are more in with the rebellion than I am. I kinda gathered they had something to tell you about." Tera shrugged "Really, it's up to you, but now they know where you are, this place isn't safe any more."

“Your fate is now in your companions hands then. We shall wait to see what message they bring and whether it is truly from the Rebel Alliance or from the Emperor” Tallon remains stern faced and standing.

Re: Meeting Tallon

Tera started to settle down a little. "I vigourously object to being called an Imperial spy. I'll expect an apology for that when they get here." Tera looked at the soldier. "My arms are getting tired, can I lower them? You might want to come and get my blaster pistol first." she tried once more to reach out with her mind to Oglo, realising at her current ability, she was worse than useless, she was going to have to devote some time to learning whatever it was.....but she still felt isolated. If the headache slowly building in her head was anything to go by, she probably couldn't do any more until Lyla and Oglo came to get her.

Re: Meeting Tallon

Ares huffed and then smiled at Tera as he lowered his rifle and walked up to her to disarm her. "Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself, or anyone else with this now would we?" he said as he pulled the pistol from her holster and tossed it to Tol, who was standing nearby. "You can have that back after we know for sure you pose no threat here..."

Re: Meeting Tallon

Tera rolled her eyes "You have no idea. The only thing I've ever managed to hit with it was a womp rat." she said disgusted at herself as she lowered her arms. "I'd like it back if bounty hunters get here too. That Jodo Kast is a tricky customer. To be honest, I'm having a hard time with the fact you haven't doubled the guard or started packing already."

"We were preparing to move out before you and you friends showed up. We are all seasoned veterans of one war or another and personally I'm thirsting for some action. Ou say you ran into this 'Jodo Kast'? How's my other hunters have you come across?"

Re: Meeting Tallon

"I've lost count to be honest. We've been attacked by six or seven in the cantina. I don't know how many at Slag Flatt's place, five or six there? There were like maybe four or five at the Bantha worshiper commune. For me, that's a lot. Jodo got everywhere first, ahead of us. It might not sound like a lot, but I was under the impression that they had a lot more in numbers and were just trying to slow us down....though we all almost died...more than once."

Re: Meeting Tallon

Ares was quiet for a long moment. He still wasn't sure if he should believe her story or not. If she is telling us the truth, we could be in some really big trouble here. There are probably already hunters here watching this place as we speak... he thought. "Where are your friends hiding? If there are hunters around they may fall victim to an attack once again. At least they would be safer in here with us." he said finally. He turned to Commander Tallon. "What do you make of all this, Sir?"

Re: Meeting Tallon

"I asked for a commlink to bring them in. They're outside hiding, waiting to see if you kill me or not. Lyla's impatient and reckless though, so I suspect she'll turn up before long.  Oglo will probably be asleep in one of the ruins surrounding the fort."
