Re: XP

Wow you both trump me then, hopefully that's a good sign for the longevity of this game.

In game Lyla is right, for space fights you are going to need to coordinate your actions. For example Lyla would have hit the damaged TIE and probably taken it out of the fight if Klyn wasn't flying defensively. Also the guns are fired separately so Aid Another actions can be taken if both gunners focus on one target.

I'll fit some down time into the game at some stage so you can modify the ship too to better suit the crew.

Re: XP

well, the longest game I began here on rpol started in 2009. It's a french game (not that many of those here, so I'm very happy it keeps working. We even began a second one with nearly the same people almost a year ago.

Merry Christmas

For those that celebrate the festival Merry Christmas.

Going to start Episode II in the new year? Anyone got an opinion on whether to change the game name or to stick with what we've got? Anyone think of any good names which would be apt or that you like? I did a search of my user name and found the old game I used to run. I deleted it after 3 years of running so it must have active over 2 years so maybe this game hasn't out done it yet so we have an inspiration still to target.

Re: Merry Christmas

Hope everyone enjoying Christmas. Will get this space combat wrapped up soon then you can go off on another adventure. I've put up an advert for an extra player or two. Will add anyone new when we are in 2014. I expect the game to remain quiet until after new year but will update if enough characters post before then. Happy news year.

Finally, it looks like I've hit something! Whoo!

Okay, Starships of the Galaxy tells me Dastardly Strike won't work on vehicles or ships, only people, so that's out. Point Blank Shot is still good though.

Hello All. I made the cut and was just added to the game.

I have a little soloing to do with my Ubese Scoundrel before linking up with the group, but I'm looking forward to it!

Everyone is useful in his own time.  Away from his ship and his machines, I bet you will be a better asset than Klyn. ^^

And welcome fellow scoundrel !

Who's the Pilot?

Rynn Culmar:
who is your pilot?

Rynn... or at least he will be. Originally the Alabak's Gold's pilot was Mallox but the player has been inactive so a replacement has been needed for a while.

TIE combat

I will update the TIE combat this weekend. Expecting Tera to post on Saturday.

T3-M8 I'll allow you to make a Move and Swift Action each round, your Standard action being taken up with astronavigating. So it will be possible to keep involved through recharging shields, power or speed.

Oglo sorry there's not much you can do to get involved in this battle. I can't promise no more space battles but I'll try to think up other things that can be outside of the battle whilst they are happening also I don't plan to have that many of them and this is the first 2 years.

"Oh, look!  I can move a rock!  Why doesn't anyone believe me?"

That's pretty much Oglo in a nutshell.  He is by far the most useless character ever created.  When I make a character, I never never never giving it an 8 Intelligence.  Not even when I'm playing a Wookiee that has an Intelligence penalty.

Speaking of a Wookiee.... This group of Rebels is short a furry character.

Third adventure anyone?

Now that we are starting a second adventure I've started planning a third adventure. The third will have a storyline involving the Force which will give Oglo and Tera some opportunities to use their powers. Hopefully that will balance things out a little.

'I can move a rock too, Oglo. With my hands.'

You can get us drinks, Oglo. :) And here I thought I would be playing hostess. :D

Oglo and Klyn, you took over old characters. Will you be changing to original characters at the end of this?

We can get an Ewok. :D

Another hit!

Lyla and Tera are proving to be true spacehounds. It seems like I hardly needed to pull the climatic arrival of Mallox.

The hyperspace jump will have taken a day so assume all injuries and ship damage has been healed or repaired. Any other questions let me know.

Yes the dice roller seems to have a bias for the Empire.

Re: Getting to Isis

That's because The Empire stands for Order.  The Dice are symmetrical objects.  Although it appears at first that they are random, over time it is revealed that dice adhere to the Rules of Probability.  That is, that over time, there are strict rules and statistical odds that they must follow.  Thus why the Dice prefer Order and thus prefer The Empire.

Re: Getting to Isis

True, the rebels challenge the order and threaten to throw everything into chaos. I'm sure the dice roller would hate that.
