Re: City on Alert

Plugged into the speeder T3-M8 gives it a significant boost in power and efficiency, overriding the stupid little on board computer almost accidentally as all those things like safety protocols simply go out the window.

06:24, Today: T3-M8 rolled 34 using 1d20+15. Mechanics. Not sure why RPOL put in two rolls as I am quite sure I only pressed the button once, but I used the first one rolled, the other can be saved for the next roll or ignored at your preference.

Tera quickly looked around her blaster pistol drawn and ready to fire. She needed to stop the scouts, by any means necessary. Even if it should cost her her life. There were too many waiting for the medicine and if the scouts brought the Empire to this place, they would destroy it.

10:41, Today: Tera Inkari rolled 16 using 1d20+7. Perception

Focused on the need to get to the ship, Klyn messed a bit with the engine, something he was not used to. Thankfully, T3 was there to take care of his unusual lack of skill.

17:01, Today: Klyn Cors rolled 17 using 1d20+14. mechanics.

Re: City on Alert

All around Oglo and below the starship Rebel technicians and soldiers scramble every which way, pointing at the Handree and gesturing wildly.

Stationary so not yet making its way out of the starport the Handree was easily reached by Rynn and Klyn as they throttled their speederbikes, taking them up to near their maximum flight ceiling. They began to circle the Corellian gunship as their watched Tera floating up to the entrance hatch.

After circling the craft once, Rynn shook his head at the Twi'lek, and brought the speeder into a dive, intending to land right next to the repulsor lift, and ride it up into the craft. He needed to at least get into the ship, in case they took off, he could try to take the ship back.

Motionning to Rynn, as the noise of the ship and the bikers made it difficult to talk, Klyn showed a possible entrance path.

He circled the ship to find the spot, near the engine. It would be a bit risky but they could make it... as long as they reach a latch inside before the ship leaves the atmosphere.

Tera gulped trying her best to move closer to the hatch before the repulsorlift cut out completely. She needed to get on board. If she didn't then there would be many that would suffer.

Re: City on Alert

At ground level Lyla, Oglo and Rynn can see that Rekara is correct; the repulsorlift beams are shutting off. If they hope to use the beams they will have to be quick and if the beam retracted quicker that they could travel upwards they would plummet to their deaths when it no longer held them in the air!

At the rear of the ship Klyn flies toward the engines. There are three massive cylindrical exhaust nacelles. A reddish glow emanates from deep within; Klyn can feel the heat as the ship engines begin to power up. Between the giant nacelles and the outer engine casing are four small gaps leading to the engine’s interior. All of them look large enough for a speederbike to enter.

Once the Speeder bike is fully inside the engine compartment, or as near as it will go T3-M8 rolls off it and onto the deck of the ship.  Quickly searching around for a plug in point or a service door the little droid starts working on their entrance.

20:16, Today: T3-M8 rolled 20,32 using 1d20+15,1d20+15. Mechanics, Use Computer. The computer port is the preference if there is one, otherwise mechanics to get to somewhere there is a computer port.

Re: City on Alert

Tera tried to swim more quickly towards the hatch in the spaceship, but found she was not gaining ground quick enough to get close to the ship. Her eyes widened as she realised she was probably too far away to reach it. She tried her best to get closer, realising that if the empire stole this ship, they'd not only be condemning those that needed the medicine but this entire planet.

"We will see..." Rynn said shaking his head. He gunned the engine of the speeder, and took it up at a steep incline circling the repulsor lift. "Try to grab her." He yelled as he got near to Tera.

He gained altitude  until he was right beneath the ship, fly through opening in the ship and decrease the speed so as to not smack into the interior of the ship.

Re: City on Alert

Flying into one of the gaps leading into the engine assembly Klyn winds his way through the engine's narrow and cluttered innards. Piloting the speederbike is difficult and the space to move is very tight, Klyn so far was up to the task and sweeved the speeder through the engine. To reach the deep engine access crawlway or any sort of place that either Klyn or T3-M8 could dismount the speederbike was going to take more. The heat and static energy static in the engine was also starting to build up, although at the moment it was only uncomfortable if the engines were fully powered they would both be completely disintegrated.

Beneath the ship Rynn and Lyla flew up to try and save Tera as she floundered in the repulsorlift beam. Desperate to stay ahead of retracting beam she fought against the energy, futilely clawing at the air above in an effort to swim in the beam. Rynn brought the speederbike to a halt just below the repulsorlift beam opening, the hatch was much too small to fit a speederbike into. With Lyla still on the back of the speederbike there was no room for Tera, but she might be able to hang on it somewhere and it surely beat falling to her death below. It was then that the solid floor of energy beneath Tera dissolved.

OOC

Klyn make another Pilot check to fly through the tight tunnels and reach the access crawlway.

Tera make a Jump check. Tera can attempt to lurch up to grab the entry hatch or to leap toward the speederbike.

Rynn or Lyla could also try grabbing the hatch. If they do make a Jump check.

If anyone wants to try something else let me know and I'll tell you what rolls I need. Also it might be worth considering Force Points or Destiny Points depending on how dangerous any plan you think of is.

Re: City on Alert

The heat and the simple strain of flying the speeder in such a narrow and dangerous place quickly created bead of sweat on Klyn's forehead. He had to prevent it from getting into his eyes and disturb his eyesight and concentration.

Hitting the walls of the passage would most certainly burn him badly, and even T3 could be damaged by the heat or the building energy.

He took a deep breath to concentrate his mind and body on the task at hand and not the risks and drove as quickly as he dared to get to their goal before getting reduced to ashes.

Re: City on Alert

It had been weighing down Lyla's pack for years, and she'd almost forgotten about, and probably had on a couple of occasions. Like when she'd scouted out Fort Tusken. But right now, Lyla remembered it when she needed it most. 'Hold on!' she shouted, and shoved her hand in her pack, whipping out a liquid-cable dispenser with attached grappling hook.

She pointed the device up at the hatch, took a precious moment to aim, consider wind-speed and the respective velocities of the ship and speeder, and beg the Goddess's grace, then fired. The high-pressure liquid inside was forced through a microscopic hole and extruded into an ultra-strong monofilament strand sheathed in fibre, solidifying in the low-pressure environment outside. The cable shot up to the ship, right toward the hatch.

'Grab on, Tera!'

OOC: Draw liquid-cable dispenser and grappling hook.
Shoot it up through the hatch, Dexterity check 22
16:15, Today: Lyla Rahn rolled 22 using 1d20+3. dex check and make it good.
I hope that's good enough.

Re: City on Alert

Taking the last of the three speederbikes Mors Odrion gave Oglo a ride up to the Corellian gunship. The young Alliance member followed the daredevil stunt that Klyn took and deposited the Ithorian at the crawlway to Engineering. Then made his excuses and went, he said he had an important mission to complete. His last words to Oglo were "may the Force be with you" a phrase among the Alliance that was gaining much favour.

OOC Made a decision to jump in and place Oglo with Klyn and T3-M8 so we have an even split and no-one gets left behind or we have cause unneccessary delay to the story.
