Re: Warm Reception

Getting his weapon ready, Klyn aimed at the imperial.

If she does anything suspicious, he will fire immediately, otherwise he will talk:

Appearing to ignore, and be ignored by, the organics T3-M8 rolls on by staying as far away from any likely footpaths as possible in proper droid etiquette he does a quick inspection of the Bridge and it's various control systems, checking for any other acts of sabotage done by the ham-handed imperials, letting Klyn bear the brunt of the social interaction.

Re: Warm Reception

Her hands full of wires Meahonon sneered at Klyn as he made his threat but complied in as much as she took a step away from the computer. Wires were ripped out as he kept her hold on them, letting going only after smoke and sparks were flying. Warning bleeps emitted on the controls all around the Bridge. T3-M8 continued to be ignored. His inspection of the Bridge showed that Meahonon had already destroyed the Command Console, only a single red light flashes on the entire panel. The Nav Computer looked to be as equally trashed.

Facing Klyn the Imperial scout then let her hand fall to her side and reached for her blaster.

OOC Roll Initiative. If you beat Meahonon's 23 you can act first.

Re: Warm Reception

Klyn's anger rose as he saw she managed to cause more damage even as she moved away.
He took a quick glance toward the damage and the imperial took this as a possible opportunity to strike.

Thankfully, Klyn reacted quickly and, as the scout reached for her blaster, his finely tuned heavy blaster fired a deadly energy blast, as he had warned.

Not one to enter combat unprepared T3-M8 checks the room for other organics, or back doors and finds himself some cover that wont explode or be to difficult to repair.

Re: Warm Reception

Quicker by a fraction Klyn squeezed the trigger of his blaster and shot the Imperial scout, made of stern stuff the tall woman shook herself, recovered and fired back. The shot buzzed passed Klyn dangerously close and struck one of the Bridge's many consoles. More sparks and smoke filled the Bridge. Meahonon wasn't going to surrender and wasn't going to give up without a fight.

OOC Next round you can both act.

Re: Warm Reception

Now there were in trouble.

Klyn only hoped the fight would be short with them having the advantage of number...
A big wish since none of them were trained fighters.

With a quick look around, he tried to find a cover spot, the counter attack from the imperial missing too nearly for his taste.

He then returned fire.

OOC:
move action: getting behind something, if there is such a possibility

Re: Warm Reception

Having waited long enough for the organics to get each others attention safely T3-M8 extrudes the hidden weapon appendage with the business end of a blaster pistol on it and fires on the Imperial tech so bent on the destruction of good hard working computers, using it's default stun setting to ensure that no further harm comes to any innocent bystanders.

Re: Warm Reception

Blaster fire arced across the smoky Bridge. Klyn shot again, this time his shot a near miss as it fried the computer console beside Meahonon. The red-haired scout glanced back at the destroyed controls and rolled behind another just as Klyn also leapt for cover. The Imperial scout hadn't counted on T3-M8 however. The unconventional droid pulled out a heavy blaster, blue rings of stun energy hit Ishale squarely on the chest and the Imperial staggered, her shot at Klyn wildly missing and scoring a black streak of carbon along the roof.

OOC Will update stat block once I have T3-M8's stun damage. Meahonon did move down the condition track due to Klyn's initial attack but she shook it off.

Re: Warm Reception

"Well done T3" thought Klyn as the imperial was hit squarely by the droid's attack.

Apparently he had decided to go with stun mode, an option the imperial refused when she did not comply, in Klyn's point of view.

Now that both of them had found some cover, the fight might get a bit longer, which wasn't good for the already damaged consoles.

Still, there was little more they could do, so he fired another blast.

Re: Warm Reception

Helpful though he may be there is no mistaking the little droid for a soldier, as even taking careful aim to avoid hitting her cover the shot goes wide in the other direction, its energy dissipating harmlessly into the wall thanks to the foresight to use the stun setting, assuming a droid's weapon even has a lethal setting.

Re: Warm Reception

As the full blast of T3-M8 stun ray impacted against Meahonon the Imperial scout who had already injured by Klyn slumped over the destroyed nav computer.

OOC Combat ended with T3-M8 first shot as it knocked Meahonon out. I rerolled the damage as should have been 2d8+3 not 2d8+3 but was still enough to knock her unconscious.

Klyn moved quickly to push the blaster far from the imperial.

"Nicely done T3. Now go and see how bad it is" he said to the droid.
"I'm going to take care of her."

Before doing so he opened his comlink again.

"Hello there. We had contact.  We took care of Meahonon but she was busy sabotaging the consoles when we arrived.  I will let you know how deep in trouble we are once we know it."

He then proceeded to tie Meahonon.

Stopping off at the limp body T3-M8 uses a griper arm to yank whatever wires or important objects the imperial still has in her meaty hand on his way to the damaged console to see about some sort of repairs.

Re: Warm Reception

The loose wires everywhere made tying up Meahonon to one of the chairs at a destroyed console an easy task. As Klyn dealt with their living prisoner T3-M8 made his introductions to the computer. The Command Console and Nav Computer were both in very poor shape. Without access to plenty of new parts or enough time in the workshop to manufacture new ones there was no way Klyn or T3-M8 were going to get the Handree back in working order before they dropped out of hyperspace. T3-M8 efforts at repairs of the Nav Computer although they were not going to make it functional might garner some information like the coordinates that Meahonon programmed in before her sabotage.

On the Command Console a single red light flashes on the entire panel. The light indicates that the cargo doors of the forward hold was open. If T3-M8 could repair the Command Console it might be possible to control the sub-light engines from the Bridge, without any repairs the Handree will be floating dead in space at the end of their hyperspace jump.

OOC Repair Mechanics takes 1 hour. If T3-M8 takes the full hour I may reveal more. Let me know how long you plan to stay on the Bridge and what you are repairing first either the Nav Computer or the Command Console, each will take an hour per attempt at repair.

Re: Warm Reception

Getting a report from T3, Klyn made a face.

"Well, it's even worse than I expected... They must be certain they will meet reinforcement at our destination to cause such destruction..."

He paced for a bit then took his comlink.
"I will ask the others for advice.  Either we both do our best to restore things or one of us, or we both try do get rid of the remaining imperials first...

What do you think?"

Waiting for the droid's answer, he made a report to the other team.

"Guys, things aren't good here... The damage is quite severe. We don't know where we fill end up, but we have less than 12 hours before our little trip ends. And there is no way for us to safely stop the hyperdrive either.  Doing it 'brutally' has more chances of getting us killed than just lost in space.

Repairs would take much longer than 12 hours, even with the correct Spare parts.

I'm worried about what we could find once we get out of hyperspace so we better get the ship under control and make sure we have sublight movement, shields and weapons.

It's too bad we are so few, such a ship needs a bigger crew...

Do you have some suggestions?  I could leave T3 to begins repairs, or maybe get our destination from what remains of the nav computer, and try to find the others imperials?

I'm not looking forward making repairs with the constant threat of being attacked...

How are things on your side?"

Re: Warm Reception

Having no particular use for anything but the nav computer in order to improve their chances of ending the hyperspace jump prematurely T3-M8 begins salvaging parts from all sorts of things to make the repairs, cannibalizing first the human interface devices that serve no real purpose.

20:08, Today: T3-M8 rolled 25 using 1d20+15. Mechanics.  Unless forcefully interrupted T3-M8 will repair the nav computer until it is done.

Re: Warm Reception

With T3 working on the Nav computer, Kly did what he could to make sure no-one would enter the bridge without warning then made way to the command unit.

His goals are:
- finding any camera or security footage to help localize the imperials
- close the forward hold
- get a look inside the hold
- see what can be done with propulsion.

Re: Warm Reception

The Nav Computer had been trashed. Access to it was rendered nearly impossible, T3-M8 realised that repairing it was a task that would take longer than the time their were expected to be in Hyperspace he could though with much less effort retrieve information about the ship's current hyperjump coordinates. It took the droid an hour but finally he learned that the Handree's destination was the Bespin system and that they now had only ten and half hours before they arrived.

The Command Console had also been trashed so revealed little to Klyn that they did not already know. From the Bridge he couldn't get a look inside the Hold or close the cargo door. If he went to investigate the Hold and could get inside he might be able to get it closed. From Klyn's expertise in engineering he reckons he could reroute the controls of the ship through Engineering and be able to use the sub-light drives when they come out of the hyperjump, he would have to get to work if he wanted to get it done before they arrived in Bespin. Without the Nav Computer however they would still not be able to make another hyperspace jump.

Re: Warm Reception

A bit frustrated by his lack of success, Klyn decided to make another report to the rest of the team.

"Hello there.  Still no news from the remaining imperials?  I tried to find security footage but there is nothing.  I also have no idea about the status of the Forward hold.

I might be able to close it if I manage to get inside... But it's probably not our first priority.

I think I have found a way to get control of the sublight engines back, but it will require long hours of work.

Can you explain what exactly you had planned with the droids?"

Re: Warm Reception

The Hyperdrive is working perfectly, there is nothing to repair. The ship will continue until its reaches it destination or to stop it prematurely in a safe manner the Nav Computer must be fully functional. The only way to stop the ship otherwise is to switch the engine off which would be a highly dangerous manoeuvre.
