Locked In

As the repulsorlift beam shut down Tera leapt as high as she could. Her fingers brushed the handle of the hatch but slipped away. Below was certain death. Then a life saving rope shot passed her and locked on to the insides of the starship. Tera grasped the last chance of surviving. The grapple held strong. Lyla had saved her life. Tera pulled herself into the entrance. Lyla and Rynn were able to follow, abandoning the speederbike.

Once inside the ship lurched as the maneuvering thrusters kicked in. The entrance hatch automatically shut as a warning claxon sounded. The entrance bay was four metre by five metre. Two guards lie dead on the floor, their necks broken.

Re: Locked In

Relieved to see the grappler hold firm and Tera catch hold of the rope, Lyla held it taut for her to climb the rest of the way up into the Handree. Once she'd made, Lyla followed, hauling her way up the cord, hand over hand, boot pressed against boot, trying not to think about how high up they were now, how far, far above the surface of Isis they had to be now. Don't look down. The roaring wind whipped at her tails and her coat, flapping them all over the place. And she was only wearing shorts underneath. Try not to think about that pilot looking up at your legs.

Finally she was through the hatch, grabbing the sides and Tera's helping hand as she pulled herself in. Lyla looked back to see if Rynn made it, and got a rather ghastly view of the ground far below. Lying on the floor, holding the rope steady, Lyla helped Rynn aboard and yanked up her liquid-cable dispenser, just before the hatch slammed shut.

She rolled onto her back, then laughed and laughed. 'Ha ha ha! We made it! Thank the Goddess! Woohoo!' she cheered, glad to be alive and not a splash on the surface of the Isis. Then she realised she laying next to a corpse. 'Cruk.'

Re: Locked In

Tera laughed feeling exhilarated at the prospect of being alive. "I'm so happy to be here I'd almost be tempted to fondle your lekku" she sat up on the deck, crawling over to the floor to the dead guards.
Tera frowned as she checked the guards bodies. "You know I know Scouts are independent thinkers, but it seems improbable they managed to overpower these guards and take over the ship. I wonder if they're Naval Intelligence personnel."

Re: Locked In

Lyla sat up and checked said luscious lekku, unknotting them and half-worried she might have lost the tip in the closing hatch. 'I'm not sure I go that way, but right now I wouldn't say no, babe.' she murmured. She looked over to where Tera had started inspecting the bodies. Heads shouldn't sit like that. 'I'm starting to think you're right. Wilderness scouts would have gone to ground, tried to get a signal out, steal a light, fast vessel. Not launch a commando raid on a heavily defended Rebel base and steal a gunship. If they're not incredibly lucky, they could have planned all this perfectly. One of them at least has got to be some kind of special ops. We might even have a traitor helping them.' Lyla mused glumly. After all, everything had gone far too well for the downed ISC team.

Re: Locked In

Rynn clutched the cable tightly as he shimmied up the length of it. As the last to go his anchor point on the bike was lost and the rope swung as he climbed up into the ship, and the last thought in his mind was the twi’lek’s legs. As he climbed through the hatch he lay down on the deck, visibly shaking. As odd as it was, he really didn’t like heights. He was fine when he has a ship, or a bike under him. He trusted his skills piloting different craft, but dangling under a ship by a rope wasn’t something he wanted to do again. As the shaking subsided and Lyla cursed he looked around. Seeing the bodies for the first time he drew his heavy blaster from its holster. He half rolled up on his feet, and looked around for the nearest computer. He’d tap into trying to figure out what was going on with the ship.

The small entrance bay had one blast door leading into the ship. When Rynn went to open that door he found that it was locked. 'Search for something that's not there?' Lyla asked Tera incredulously. Nevertheless, she went over to the two corpses and began to rifle through their pockets. 'Sorry, mates.' she muttered. She looked for anything of use or what she figured two Rebel guards ought to have — like some kind of key-card judging by Rynn and Tera's failed efforts. 'Come on, we're missing the party.' she urged them. She also scanned the room, looking for some other potential exit. Escaping through an air duct was such a cliché, but right now she'd take it.

'Five digits, non-repeating? Well, someone needs a lesson in password security.' Lyla commented dryly. Finally they'd had a stroke of luck, or rather, a dash of less bad luck. They were still trapped in an airlock in a ship leaving atmosphere.

Then she got a response from Oglo, though not much of one. 'Oglo! Where are you? We're on the hijacked ship. And no, we can't wait for maintenance! Did you see where Klyn and the droid went?'

Lyla pulled out of her pack the vacuum mask she'd looted from the downed scout-ship. 'Glad they left this behind.' she muttered. It was a small emergency measure, but wouldn't give complete protection against vacuum. There was only one. Someone would get to live ten minutes longer than their friends. 'Tera, put this on.' she ordered, tossing it to the doctor.

She went over to the outer door, the hatch they'd just climbed through, and grabbed hold of the liquid cable, wrapping it around her forearm. If the grapple held, she wouldn't get sucked out of the ship in a hurry. 'Any ideas, Rynn?'

She looked back to Tera and the vacuum mask. 'I ain't strong. But we're going to need someone to keep tapping that panel and fix us up afterward more. Put it on.' she repeated.

She pulled Rynn's welding goggles over her head and tails, adjusting them over her eyes, then took up the laser welder. Now, how do I work this thing... She hit the on switch and a burning laser lanced across the room and scored the metal wall. 'Frack!' Trying again, Lyla directed the welding laser around the edges of the hatch, trying to fuse them together. It was a tricky task to hang from the grappler cable with one hand and use the welder with the other, but she steadily got the hang of it.

'Yes.' Lyla answered flatly. It was a cold and simple mathematics, well known to the harsh world of Ryloth. It was the process of choosing who would live and who would go without, balanced for the best outcome. Lyla knew it well. Mum had thrown her into the freezer, leaving herself to die in the heat-storm. Lyla had faced her own doom in battling the Gutretree. She grew angry at Tera's protests; did she really have to argue for her own death? She kept working at welding the hatch shut, answering over the comlink. 'You're the healer, so you get to live a little longer. If you survive, you can heal us after. If not, you heal other people. That's how it works. Please.' The last word was pleading Tera to just do it and stop making Lyla think about this.

Whilst they were in hyperspace communication was impossible but when they came out of hyperspace the Imperials would be able to reveal the location of the hidden Rebel base.

Looking at the lock Rynn was that the 4 was in the right place. So the code so far was -5--4- only four numbers to go.

Re: Locked In

Lyla watched on anxiously as Tera and Rynn worked through the remaining combinations, helping where she could but finding they already had a good idea of how to work the puzzle lock. As the door finally opened, she breathed an immense sigh of relief, snatching up the laser welder and her cable-gun, then dashed through the door with others. 'Ha ha! Good work, Tera.'

She tapped her comlink, telling Klyn, T3-M8 and Oglo the good news. 'Hey, we finally got out. Looks like we're in the Belly Hold.'

She rolled up her cable and grappling hook and stuffed it back in her pack, and passed the two FastFlesh MedPacs to Tera. 'Oh, here, you should have these.'

Next, Lyla turned her attention to the floor, looking for any sign of the ISC team. Tracking aboard a ship was difficult and different from on land, but not impossible. Someone could leave dirty footprints, or clean footprints in dust. They could move things and drop some litter. Unfortunately, the Imperial Scouts knew better than that.

Rynn smiled when the door took the code and they heard the whoosh as the door open. Rynn took his wielder from Lyla and replaced it and the prybar back on his belt pouch. "Nice now we got to stop this ship early. There is no telling where we are heading but I'm pretty sure it's not a rebel friendly port. " he said quietly. He drew his heavy blaster from the holster went through the door. He looked around at the ship, looking for what would be the path that would logically lead to the bridge.

When he found what he thought to be the path, he began moving down it, trying to stay quiet.

Answering Lyla's call, Klyn's voice can be heard on the communicator

"Good to know. We were afraid we lost you.  We had some time to do a little digging, ship's plan and other data.  T3 is currently courting the ship's computer.

There is my suggestion:

I think we should approach things by two angles. We are already on deck 3 where the communication control are. You are Deck 5. The hyperdrive controls are on deck 4. You should try to make your way there.  I suppose Rynn has some skills with those, as a pilot.

We will go and destroy their communication center, in case we can't stop them soon enough.
What do you think?"

He finished, both for 'his' team and the others.

Re: Locked In

Lyla agreed with Klyn, responding 'Yeah, disabling communications is good. That'll stop them getting a message out. And if we run into an Imperial ship, maybe they'll attack us instead. That should keep the ISC off the main space routes and away from Imperial bases, slow them down a little.'

'If you can cut the engines too, that'd also help.'

'And yeah, taking the controls is good. We should find at least one of them there.'

'There's four of them: Pilia Tonth, captain; Ishale Meahonon, astronavigator; and two gunners, Rengor Talke and Sona Lerenga. You've seen the descriptions. They'll probably hang by the bridge. The engineer and pilot died on the Wanderer, so we've got that over them. But be careful. We're starting to suspect there's some kind of commando on the team, or else a traitor among the Rebels. They've been very clever and well equipped so far.'

'Lyla out.'

Her message complete, Lyla followed Rynn, moving as quietly as one used to hunting in the wilderness.

Re: Locked In

The loud noise Lyla makes tells the Quarren just where to point his blaster.  He doesn't remove his finger from the trigger, but he doesn't pull it either.  He is hesitant to shoot, like he has never shot at anyone before.  And what he can see of Lyla doesn't look frightening enough to shoot at.  Nessquik had always pictured his first kill being a Stormtrooper.  He had never counted on it being a shipjacker, and especially not a Twi'lek girl.

The Twi'lek girl was engaging him in conversation.  And uneducated in tactics, the Quarren stood his ground in the middle of the port-side corridor never thinking that the Twi'lek could be creating a distraction for someone else to sneak around at attack him from behind.  Common sense was not one of his strong suits.

"I think you just answered your own question.  The self-loathing kind.  Maybe it's what my Mon Calamari commanders keep telling me about Quarren.  Or maybe it's my father always going on proudly about his criminal past.  You define pride your way, and I'll define it my way.", he replies to the Twi'lek girl.  "Or hey, easier explanation, we define it the same way, which makes you admitting to being a criminal.", he goes on.  The logic of it was strange and it swam around in his head so erratically that even he was starting to get confused by it.  He had his own pre-conceived notions about Twi'leks, but he wasn't rude enough to say it out loud.  One thing Nessquik had sworn himself to be was not as openly prejudiced about another species as Mon Calamari are.  Still, comparing Lyla's definition of "pride" to his father's felt like a prejudiced thing to say.  Nessquik immediately regretted it.  And by all appearances, the situation still warranted it.

"Criminals... freedom fighters... same difference.  Anyhow, I'm listening.  It's not like the Mon Calamari were ever very nice to me or gave me the reasonable doubt that I won't go criminal.  Talk convincingly and I would do them the favor of being right about me.", says the Quarren.

He shakes the sleeve of his uniform jacket to draw attention to it.  Right away what becomes visible is that the uniform is shabby and thread bare in spots.  It had started out as a Rebellion Naval Officer's uniform, but by now it has to be second-hand.  The rank and service insignia on the collar and sleeves tell that he's an Ensign in the Supply Corp.  So if cargo was being loaded aboard, he would have been directly involved.

"If you want to get on the bridge, you'll have to blow through the blast doors with a shaped explosive charge.  Your Thermal Detonator won't do it.  And since this ship is loaded with medical supplies, you're not going to find anything more explosive than nitro glycerine... diluted and in pill form.  I was going to program the Treadwell droids to use their cutting torches to cut through the blast doors.  That would take hours though.", replies the Quarren.  "My other thought was to shut down the main reactor.  Something I am hoping the droids know how to do safely.  Not that that helps you get on the bridge, but it would leave the ship dead in space, which gives you more time to cut through the blast doors."  The Quarren does talk a lot.  More so than Oglo ever did.  Talking is likely this Quarren's best suit.

The Quarren begins to stroke his tentacles with his free hand while he thinks.  Is other hand continues to point the blaster at Lyla, but his attention has lapsed.  The Blaster is just a forgotten item with no place else to be.  "Can't just shut down a Fusion Reactor though.  If it loses magnetic containment, the plasma inside will burn straight through the housing and boom!  It has to be powered down slowly and allowed to burn off its fuel.  Of course, if the bridge is manned then they can over-ride the shut down procedure from up there.  So the alternative is to manually close off the hydrogen fuel lines.  When those are all closed, then the reactor will burn off its fuel and gradually the ship will lose power.  And there's nothing the bridge can do about it but come out and manually re-open the fuel valves.  Of course, I'm not going to go crawling around through the engine section to close all the fuel valves.  I was going to make the droids do it."

Tera nodded "Now that sounds like an excellent idea. I'm afraid I'm not that great on the designs of this ship. Perhaps you should activate the droids needed to do this. If they're all stuck in the bridge, they'll need to come out to fix it and that should give us the opportunity to retake the ship."

Continuing to stroke his tentacles, the Quarren rambles on further without paying any attention to Tera's interruption, "Two problems I can conceive of:

"First, the droids have Integrated Comlinks.  They can receive instructions from the bridge and will regard those as more legitimate commands.  So we will have to delete the old scrambler codes, and input new codes.  Then command the droids to disregard any communications that come in that don't use the new scrambler codes.

"Second, a gunship has Auxillary Fusion Generators to power the Turbolasers.  Those could generate enough power to power the Hyperdrive.  All someone would have to do is reroute Auxillary Power to the Hyperdrive from the bridge.  Sure, it would deactivate the Turbolasers, but you don't need those in Hyperspace.  So we will have to choke off fuel to the Auxillary Generators as well."

Tera glance at Lyla with an amazed expression "Ok, so we're in trouble then. Big trouble. You're telling me the people on the bridge can use the droids we have here against us, that we need to shut all power sources down on the ship and get back into the bridge to make this work. How long does it take to do the code scrambling?"

"That's the easy part.  No need to change the scrambler code, just change the key code.  A new key I can generate with the touch of a button with my Pocket Scrambler.  We just upload the new key to the droids before powering them on.  Don't give them a chance to contact the bridge to ask for instructions.", replies the Quarren.  He then cranes his head as if to try to look over the shoulder of Tera and Lyla into the room behind them.  "Please tell me you haven't started powering them on yet."

'There's a black rycrit in every family.' Lyla muttered, thinking of a certain wheeler-dealer cousin, as she stepped out into the corridor and wasn't immediately shot at. She listened to Tera and the Quarren, and kept stepping out of his line-of-fire while he seemed to have forgotten about his blaster.

She didn't know enough reactors and generators and droids to say a word about the plan, but did drag a hand down her face in dismay at the talk of changing codes. 'Not more codes.' she groaned. 'That's if the ISC team have locked themselves in the bridge. There's no reason to if they think they're alone on this ship. They might be moving about, checking out other areas.'

Then the Quarren asked about the droids. Lyla looked to Tera; she could explain it.

Re: Locked In

"A bottleneck it may be, but it's also the most secure place on the ship with the possible exception of the Armory.  But you can't fly a ship from the Armory, and that's another bottleneck.  Bottlenecks are easiest to secure.  You only have toe worry about one entrance.", replies the Quarren.  "If you break the bridge controls then the only other place on the ship you can fly it from is Main Engineering.  But that isn't so secure as there are many ways in and out.  Now the droids, the ones you have on need to be given a new key code now before your Imperials realize they have little helpers they can be giving orders to."

Realizing that he probably doesn't need it now, the Quarren puts his Blaster back in its holster.  He's still not sure if these two women really are Rebels.  After all, they're not wearing any uniforms and the only Rebels Nessquik has known have worn uniforms.  But even if they are shipjackers, as he still suspects, he thinks he has earned their trust and proven his usefulness.  It's scary just how much thought Nessquik has put into shipjacking when it isn't included in his duties.  Usually, the closest he comes to shipjacking is inventorying the cargo aboard ships stolen from the Empire by the shipjacking crews of the Rebellion Supply Corp.  He never seriously dreamed he would be promoted to a Rebel crew of privateers.

Re: Locked In

"Fine then.  Just don't call me 'New Guy'.  The new guy always gets shot.  I prefer to be called Ness.  But not Nessy.  Nessy is a legendary sea monster of Mon Calamari.  I don't like being compared to a monster.", replies Nessquik with his beak-like mouth jawing away amid a flurry of waving tentacles.  His ice-blue eyes stare away unmoving.  This whole time, they haven't blinked once.  Finally the moisture on his eyes needs to be replenished and he blinks.  Only his two eyelids, though really an opaque membrane, close in from the sides rather than the usual top and bottom for most species.

He then rolls back his sleeves as if to get to work.  In rolling back his sleeves he reveals what he has to work with.  This item must be his most valuable.  It's a wrist computer that has all the functions of a Datapad alone with a Personal Holoprojector.  In addition, he has linked in by cable a Long-range Comlink, and connected to that is a Pocket Scrambler.  It's a nice little setup for the Slicer on the go who doesn't have the room to pack a full-sized personal computer.  With this setup he can connect to a droid to upload programs and instructions, or download any of their data.

His plan is to connect his Wrist Computer to the droids.  Any droid that has an Internal Comlink he will have to upload the decryption program from his Pocket Scrambler as well as a new key code so the droids can understand the commands he will give to them over the comlink.  He then will give them the instructions to disregard any comlink communications that don't use the correct encryption and key code.  That should stop anyone on the bridge telling the droids to stop what they're doing.  Once it is understood who the droids take orders from, then he will send them off on their tasks to go to the Hydrogen Fuel Tanks for the main reactor and auxillary reactors and close the manual cutoff valve.  And then hold them closed so they can't be remotely reopened from Engineering or the Bridge.  To his knowledge about technology, this is effectively the manual shutoff for the reactor.  Within a couple hours, much less time if a lot of power is being used from them to power something that's a power-hog like say a Hyperdrive, the reactors will completely shut down leaving the ship on only emergency battery power.  Loss of power to the Hyperdrive will force it to deactivate and bring the ship out of Hyperspace.  A very dangerous procedure, but given fair warning and no way to stop it from happening, Nessquik expects anyone on the bridge to bring the ship out of Hyperspace in a safe and orderly fashion because they don't want to die.  It isn't a permanent sabotage to the ship though.  It can be easily fixed.  You just have to remove whatever is holding the valves closed and manually pull the lever yourself.  And while he's looking over the droids, he has to find a couple that have plasma cutting torches that can cut through the blast doors to the Bridge.  He also has to make sure there is an Astromech droid in there with a Scomp Link that can fly the ship via the ship's computer in case the Imperials decide to destroy the bridge controls.

Re: Locked In

Nessquik finds it both a relief and troublesome that the droids are not equipped with Comlinks.  It is good because then the Imperials on the bridge cannot give them commands.  But it is a problem for him because he cannot give them commands from afar.  He will have to give them their tasks and send them on their merry way.  But if there is a change of plans, or when he needs them to get to repairing the ship, then getting new orders to them will take time.

Upon hearing Tera's Comlink chime in with a message from someone else, Nessquik looks up from his task of programming the droids to do a manual shut down on the reactors.  Worried about what is happening, he asks Tera, "You have other crewmen?  I lied about having more.  My crew left when they were done loading the cargo.  Only I and some guards stayed behind to count the inventory of food and medical supplies.  What controls?  Where at?  They better not have sabotaged the reactor controls.  Without those we won't be able to reactivate the reactor after we have shut it down."

She hadn't gotten far when the message came through from Klyn. She cheered back 'You got her? Great! That's one down, three to go.' Things were looking up.

Lyla kept moving, walking quietly around what seemed to be an engineering deck, first circling the Droid Storage & Maintenance area, then moving forward past other maintenance and storage areas. She peered around each corner, in each room, looked back now and then to confirm she was alone. She then went onto the speeder hangar and the brig. If there was any more crew on board, the ISC might have stuffed them in the brig.

Provided with new orders by Nessquik the droids all trundled off to do their duty. Their capacity for engineering would be up to the tasks the Quarren gave them but their behavioural Inhibitors might prevent them completing all he asked as anything which could harm or allow harm to come to any sentient living being would override any other programs.

Exploring Lyla circled around some of the other areas on Deck 4. The Twi'lek did not find anything amiss, any more crews members or the Imperials in General Maintenance, Equipment Storage or the Brig.

"Guys, things aren't good here... The damage is quite severe. We don't know where we fill end up, but we have less than 12 hours before our little trip ends. And there is no way for us to safely stop the hyperdrive either.  Doing it 'brutally' has more chances of getting us killed than just lost in space.

Repairs would take much longer than 12 hours, even with the correct Spare parts.

I'm worried about what we could find once we get out of hyperspace so we better get the ship under control and make sure we have sublight movement, shields and weapons.

It's too bad we are so few, such a ship needs a bigger crew...

Do you have some suggestions?  I could leave T3 to begins repairs, or maybe get our destination from what remains of the nav computer, and try to find the others imperials?

He and Tera are messing about with the ship's droids, going to get them to help us make repairs and get control... Uh, they can explain it better. I'm doing some recon.'

'How are external communications? Can you disable them? If the ISC are taking us somewhere, we don't want them talking to anyone there. They might call up a star destroyer or something.'

Lyla started moving aft along Deck 4, moving past Auxiliary Systems and Engineering Maintenance, and ending at Engineering itself. She was much more careful in snooping about there, figuring it was somewhere the ISC might be working.

She'd already had enough of a close-call with that. 'Do you know if we lost anything?' she added after a moment's thought. This ship was meant to be carrying the vital medical supplies for Polmanar. "Not completely silent.", replies the Quarren to the male voice he hears emitting from Tera's comlink.  "We still have Escape Pods.  Those have emergency beacons.  If we connect an emergency transmitter by wire to the ship's main transmitter array, then we'd greatly boost the range of the transmission.  We'd just be limited to the kind of message we can send.  Under the circumstances though, the emergency distress message will do nicely."

Ness strokes his tentacles as he pauses in his task of re-programming the droids to shut down the reactor fuel valves, and not think about the consequences that would have.  He continues to think about why they would depressurize the main cargo hold.  He recalls that the cargo was all tied down.  Some of it may have broken loose when the hold depressurized, but it all wouldn't get sucked into space.  Maybe they suspected that someone like him would still be in the cargo hold so they were trying to space him.  And then it occurs to him as he thinks about the ship's deck plan.  "The Main Hold is two decks right below the Bridge.  By cutting through the ceiling of the hold you come up into Navigation.  And from there there's access up to the Bridge.  They have to be holding out on the Bridge!  Why else block off one way onto the Bridge?", he further answers Lyla's question.

Upon hearing from the Comlink with Lyla that she has completed her sweep of Deck Four and is on her way back, he thinks to pipes up and tells her something.  But the Comlink cuts out before he can speak up.  It's okay though because he won't have long to wait for her to come back.  Once she is back, he tells her, "I need a sweep of the Deck Five Engineering Section, and I need Deck Two checked out as well.  I don't want to send these droids off on their tasks and have them run into the Imperials.  Every droid must safely reach its destination or else my plan won't work.  If these Imperials are every bit as clever as you make them out to be, they won't think nothing of a droid trundling around on Deck Five or Deck Two near the engine access tunnels."

On hearing Klyn ask about what the plan is over the comlink, Ness says to him, "This better be a secure comlink.  One thing they taught me in Officer Training is never explain a plan over an unsecured com channel.  You are the mechanic, yes?  Then you should be able to figure it out.  Is it going to be safe?  No.  But I am counting on the Imperials not wanting to die so they'll do everything they can from the Bridge to keep that from happening.  But then they will have to come out to deal with the droids so they can get back underway."

Returning to the droid workshop, Lyla responded with her thoughts on the situation, patching into the comlink conference call. 'Don't forget, we have that vacuum mask if we need to get through anywhere they've spaced. It'll save us holding our breath.' she suggested, a little flippantly to avoid the thought that they might well have had to.

'We still have three armed and dangerous commandos running around, and they've had time to get to know and prepare the environment. I don't like us being spread all over the ship, in ones and twos and easy picking, trying to make repairs as they're breaking stuff. It seems like a futile task.'

'We've still got 12 standard hours, or less. I'd rather we focus on taking down the rest of the ISC first, then on fixing up their mess. It's safer for us all.'
the scout said, ever pragmatic and focused when it came to matters of survival. She might not be a soldier, but she was even less of an engineer or techie, so she wanted to deal with the enemy directly. She had a scout's approach: exploring the environment and eliminating dangers within it before getting to work.

"Okay, so change of plans.  No need to shut down Auxillary Power if we have control of the Bridge, or if the Power Distribution panel has been destroyed.  All our droids can be used to try to shut down the Main Reactor.  But we better be prepared for droid losses because I think they're going to be defending the Engineering section.  It's the only other place on the ship where you can have control.  Seems like a dumb place to hold out though because there's access to it on practically every deck."

'I just got in Deck 4 Engineering, no problems, no one was there.' Lyla said to Nessquik when he said the ISC might try to hold it. 'Unless they were on another level.'

She listened with a sense of relief as the others decided to meet up on the Bridge, getting the gang back together and having safety in numbers. 'Okay, Bridge it is. We'll make it our base, take control, secure the droids there, and get to work. And maybe we can talk to Meahonon, see if she wants to tell us anything.' Lyla hoped the ISC scout was going to be sensible and cooperate, she had no stomach or desire for interrogation or torture.

Lyla checked her map, finding a safe, quick route through the ship past places they might want to visit. Once a scout... Fortunately, the droid workshop had two turbolifts inside, which they ought to be able to get the droids in. 'Rynn, how about you and I take the lead, while Tera and Ness follow with the droids? ...If we go up to Deck 3, Sickbay and the Medical Lab are right next door, and Tera can grab anything she needs... Then we can advance forward, clear some rooms, go through Hyperdrive and Power Distribution Control, work there if you want, then go up to the Bridge. Sound good?' She looked around the group to see what they thought. ...Always a tour guide.
