Re: Locked In

The Handree was in dock for resupplies. Much of which had been completed before the Imperial team hijacked it, so the workshop had a full stock of tools and spares, including maintenance and labour droids. Whatever Lyla wanted from a droid workshop she would find if she spent long enough.

OOC What exactly does Lyla want and how long is she willing to search for?

Re: Locked In

A search through the inventory and a look around the workshops and stores finds no weapons or grenades. Neither the Empire nor the Alliance made use of military droids, droids were used by both armies for auxiliary support only.

Re: Locked In

Tera looked around for anything which might be useful in breaking into the bridge or other locked doors. "Maybe we should look for an Armoury." Tera suggested. "but after we break the hyperdrive."

Re: Locked In

Whilst Lyla looked for weapons Tera did a general scan of the rooms and the inventory. The shut down droids she saw were CLL-M2 Ordance Lifter droids, ASP Labour droids, WED Treadwell Repair droids and KDY-4 Tech droids. Various pieces of utility gear were stored away or on display they included repulsor pads, tool kits, droid diagnostics and plenty of restraining bolts and droid callers.

Re: Locked In

Lyla grabbed a spare toolkit; after using Rynn's welder, she wondered if it might come in handy after all. 'Yeah, if the crew had any sense, they'd have locked the Armoury. Let's get moving again.' Lyla agreed, stuffing the kit in her heavy pack and heading out the door.

OOC: I'll grab a second toolkit in case we get locked in again or need to bust in anywhere.

Re: Locked In

"Couldn't we use the droids somehow?" Tera asked "Some of them are really strong. They might be able to break open some of the doors for us?" Tera didn't really know if they could or not, it was just a thought.

Re: Locked In

Lyla mused on the droids. She was far from being an expert on this sort of thing. This was an issue for Klyn and T3-M8, and it was frustrating that they were separated.. 'We could, but how long would it take to power them up and get them to accept our commands? Besides, they're probably in the shop for a reason. I dunno. Could one of them get us through locked doors?'

Re: Locked In

Tera shrugged "I don't know but they're a part of the crew. They're likely to be granted access by the security system and if they're not then they're going to be stronger than we are." Tera started the initiation sequence for one of each of the types of droids. "Follow me"

Re: Locked In

Not entirely sure if this would work or not, Lyla followed Tera's lead, going around to what appeared to be complete droids and looking for some kind of on switch on each. She activated them as best she could, and stood back to see their handiwork, hoping they hadn't started some kind of droid mutiny.

Re: Locked In

Soon Tera had four droids activated and ready to command. Accustomed to being given orders they all lined up behind her, none spoke or made any noise except the sounds of their motors and metal feets on the ship's gangway, all except the Treadwell which ran on a tracked system of locomotion. None of the droid seemed to be slow in movement though so they would not have to reduce their speed to keep them near.

Re: Locked In

Lyla was impressed to see all the droids activate and line up to follow Tera like a little army or troupe of performing animals. 'Nice work.' She had a go at giving them instructions herself, the better to have them accept her as on their side and in a position to command them 'This ship's been invaded and seized by hostile intruders. Contact the astromech T3-M8 for details. We want you to obstruct them if you can.'

None of the droids possessed vocabulators or comlinks so stood mutely as Lyla gave them their new orders.

Re: Locked In

Looking around the Droid Storage area Tera can see the turbolift they came up, a corridor to General Maintenance and a corridor to Auxiliary Systems. Unfamiliar with the design and layout of the gunship which way is she going to head in search of the armoury?

Re: Locked In

Tera paused looking at the others in her team. "The only real ships I know well are Star Destroyers. Do any of you know where the armoury is on this thing? Or should we just go to auxiliary controls and turns the ship around?"

Lyla shrugged and activated her comlink. 'Klyn, T3-M8: do you know where the armoury is on this wagon? Have you found a map you can transmit to my datapad?'

Re: Locked In

Klyn quiclky answered the request:
"Armory in on Deck 1, Far above you and us both.  We just disabled communications and put the brake on the sublight engines.  We are now moving to make them jump out of hyperspace... This might take a bit longer to do it safely, though."

with some luck, they should receive data from T3.

Lyla glanced to Tera to see if she got that. 'Bit far, but thanks... By the way, we activated a bunch of droids here. Cargo movers, technicians. Let us know if you need 'em to do anything.'

Transmitted from T3-M8 the map of the Handree is received on Lyla's datapad. Lyla can see that they are currently at Droid Storage on Deck 4. Whilst looking at the map they hear footsteps in the corridor outside.

Re: Locked In

Tera's eyes widened as she drew her blaster as quickly as she could, looking around for cover she headed for somewhere where she might have some protection. "It might be one of them" she hissed to Lyla and Ryn. "Uh...come out into the open or we'll just throw in a thermal detonator."

Re: Locked In

At the wrong time, Klyn's voice can be heard on the communicator.

"Guys, we have some bad news: they sabotaged the hyperdrive nav system before we reached it.  No chance of getting it to work from here.  T3 told me the computer are all responding to the main unit on the bridge, so that's our new destination. Try to get there as quickly as possible. I'm afraid we might encounter some resistance."
