Re: Confronting the Imperials

Desperate to see if Tera was okay Klyn turned to the unconscious doctor. His call gained no response but luck was with the mechanic. As he moved his head a blaster bolt flew passed barely missing him.

OOC Tonth's attack missed Klyn. No change to stat block.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

"Damned!" yelled Klyn as sparks from the blaster's impact rained on him.

As long as the imperial would be trying to kill him, he didn't have the option to check on Tera. So he better be quite about it.

"You missed!"
he told Tonth, trying to provoke her out of cover and take advantage of it to strike true.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

"You're a fool" the Imperial captain replied when Klyn goaded her. She returned fire and struck Klyn squarely, he could see she was annoyed and being stuck in a firefight had not been her plan. Her attacks were desperate but she still had the upper hand so she would not flee or make an error yet.

OOC Klyn goes -1 step from Tonth's attack.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

Both combatants forced to stay lower and hidden the battle was becoming one of attrition. The Imperial Scout was an expert in such circumstances. The Imperial Navy taught it's scouts to be independent and resilient. Tonth kept strong and blasted Klyn again. The upper hand now clearly hers.

OOC Klyn takes another 10 damage.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

The situation was getting from bad to worse, and Klyn grimaced as the two wounds proved to be very painful. Still unable to see if Tera was alive or not, and knowing he was not as used to fighting as the imperial, Klyn knew this kind of exchanges would only end in favor of the experimented imperial scout.

So he decided to try an 'all or nothing' plan, hoping to surprise Tonth and fire the decisive shot before the scout could react to his move.

"There goes nothing"
he whispered to himself as he jumped out of his shelter, firing as he emerged from the cover.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

Confident and arrogant the small woman's sneered at Klyn. She didn't believe the scrawny engineer had it in him to defeat her. The might of the Empire was on her side and the Rebels were no real army and no threat the Emperor's regime.

Her feeling of self assurance was quickly banished as Klyn dived out from his the corridor recess he'd been hiding in. His blaster spat fire and scored a hit. The Imperial captain was lifted off her feet and thrown against the bulkhead, the blast at such close range hit the small woman with full force. To her credit she remained conscious but was clearly dazed. She rolled to her feet and with a final hateful glare at Klyn she made a run for it.

OOC I've assumed Klyn uses 2 swifts to recover then shoots as his Standard Action.

Tonth has fled. Klyn could give chase. If he double moves he'll be able to keep up with her. If he moves and shoots he'll get a last shot before she puts too much space between them and will be out of sight. Tonth will have no cover bonus.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

Klyn allowed himself a winning smile as the imperial took the full power of the blast.
Said smile did not last as long as he hoped as Tonth got up.

'What is that woman made off' he said, fulminating, as he scrambled to follow her, all the while wincing at his painful wounds. Before she turned out of sight, he fired one last blast.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

He was tired and sore but he never gave up. Klyn chased after the Imperial captain. As she was about to turn the corner to make her escape Klyn shot. Again his aim was true, either the Force was with him or he was turning into an expert marksman. The last shot sent the fleeing Imperial tumbling to the hard floor in a heap. Smoke rose off the burned flesh of her body.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

The only thing Klyn wished to do right now was to sit and close his eyes, if only for a moment.
But there was still so much to do. With the adrenaline dwindling he could feel muscles and pains he didn't know before. Limping, he went back to Tera.

Kneeling, he cursed - one more time - his lack of skills regarding repairing biological creatures. He checked for a pulse and inspected the wounds.

23:13, Today: Klyn Cors rolled 4 using 1d20+3. treat injury.

hum... 1 ... Tera I am sooo sorry :p

Re: Confronting the Imperials

Tera's eyes blinked open as she groaned, rolling onto her side. It took a few moments for her to roll back. "I feel like a Corellian cruiser just rammed into me." she started feeling her face and body with her fingertips wondering where she'd been hit.

"Great!" said Klyn as Tera opened her eyes. "You're not dead!"

Letting himself sit/fall on the ground, panting, he added:
"Tell me about it! I think Lyla was right, those are not simple scouts.  We are incredibly lucking to be alive."

Tera groaned as she sat up. "Nope. If those are the scouts, I'd hate to meet stormtroopers." She hissed in pain as she stood up. "But we have one more enemy to keep sedated and out of the fight."

Klyn shivered at the thought "yeah, don't tell me about it...". Taking a deep breath he struggled but managed to get up again.
"Talking about sedation, let's check on those two. I don't know if they are dead or only ko.  And I don't want them to wake free if it's option 2"

He moved first to their first 'victim'

Re: Confronting the Imperials

Beginning to recover from the hard won battle Klyn and Tera regain their wits enough to check on the two Imperial scouts. Both were still breathing. Unconscious however it was easy for Klyn to restrain them. Both were dressed in stolen Rebel clothes. Apart from the clothes they had blaster pistols. Captain Pilia Tonth also carried a comlink and a code cylinder.

Tera shrugged "It could be worse." she said nonchalantly as she tried to cover the fact that all she really felt like doing was vomiting and sleeping for a few weeks. She checked their vital signs. "They are just unconscious, lets get them sedated and into the brig."

Re: Confronting the Imperials

Carrying the two imperials was not something Klyn looked forward, especially in their current state.

"Where are the droids when you need them..." he muttered, taking hold on Tonth's feet to drag her. It would not be comfortable for her, but it did not mind, on the contrary.

"Locked down in the droid bay....of course" Tera responded. She showed Klyn the commlink and the code cylinder. "Unfortunately since they saw we have the captain, we won't be able to fake them into surrendering. But if we do have some Imperial entanglements we might be able to bluff our way through with these."

Re: Confronting the Imperials

OOC Although it might be confusing to contact the other group T3-M8 is free to talk so feel free to contact him and get him to help clean up the mess and also to help locate the others.

The others are in the Superstructure so its just a matter of finding an entranceway and going to join them. Role-play it together and if you do it before either they defeat Talke or he defeats them I'll let you join in. It's easier to do it that way than actually try to work out any time difference.

"I can't get the others on the comlink" said Klyn looking a bit worried.
Going with plan B he called T3.
"T3, are things still fine up there?  If you are free, we might need your help for some transportation. We also found a code cylinder for you to toy with. You might learn something useful.

...Do you have any news from Lyla and the others?"

Tera winked "This commslink is encrypted to Imperial standards. We might be able to break into their comms with it, especially with the codes. Something for T3 I'm sure." As Klyn mentioned the others Amara's expression turned to a worried frown. "Uh....maybe we should check on them." Her feet took slow steps towards the nearest entrance to where the others said they were going.

Re: Confronting the Imperials

After taking care of the two Imperial prisoners Tera located the others. After the Handree automatic releasing of quick drying sealant at the nearest entrance to the superstructure she had to think fast to get in another way. A few blasts later Tera had created a hole big enough to squeeze through. Inside the superstructure gravity vanished. It was oily, noisy and smelly.

OOC If you choose to enter the superstructure roll Initiative. If you beat Talke 14 you can post in the other thread with your action. Otherwise you'll have to wait until next round.
