Return to Fitsay

As Fitsay came into view Sedrians could be seen swimming around the settlement and amongst the stone buildings. Eager to warn his father Pek exited the Alabak's Gold his powerful tail fluke beating strongly as he swam through the water.

OOC Any Rebels following Pek to swim closer to Fitsay make a Perception check.

Tera followed Pek as closely as she could. It was clear she wasn't made for free movement underwater. Only her general good health allowed her to keep within sight distance of the much more nimble Sedrian. Her eyes peeled, she looked around to see if there were any signs of an infiltration of the city by Imperials.

On board the Alabak's Gold Rynn and Bron joined Klyn in the cockpit to watch as the Tera and Chu-Shkar followed Pek to Fitsay. Tera had to put more effort into swimming and following Pek than Chu-Shkar so did not see the commotion that the Wookiee spotted at the cliff base as he swam into Fitsay. Chu-Shkar saw a cloud of silt rise up as a group of Sedrians thrashed about.

OOC With two spare Rebels Klyn doesn't have to stay with the starship if you don't want to.

If even the wookie was going for a dive, Klyn couldn't stay idle either.

He was, however, very relunctant to leave the Gold to another of those 'Jedi' and the mentally instable Rynn  didn't really increase his trust.

"Get the gold safely to the port, don't touch anything you don't know" he finally said before suiting up and 'running' toward the two others.

As Klyn sealed his breathing suit and dived into the ocean Rynn took the pilot's chair and Bron sat with him. Rynn offering a waving hand as reassurance.

In the sea Chu-Shkar came to a halt as his strong strokes came to a stop. The Wookiee kicked his feet to steady himself and pointed down toward the base of the mountain, about half a kilometre to the northwest. The waters were clear all the way to it but at the seabed the fine silt had created a cloud which hid the exact nature of what was happening down there. Sedrians were definitely involved as bodies were seen thrashing about in the cloud.

The twelve Sedrian swam beneath them, the bodies gliding through the water as they made their way toward Fitsay. Chu-Shkar's frustrated growls were ignored by Tera but Klyn's prompt for her to trust her feelings slowed her down. The three Rebels watched and Tera concentrated. Feelings struck the Jedi. She sensed the many life-forms that occupied the ocean world. Each life-form independent in its struggle for survival but all linked by the Force. The Force showed Tera that these Sedrians were here to bring chaos.

Tera's feelings were proven as the Sedrians unfasten their sacks. The dark openings wriggled and squirmed. Captive creatures were released as shoals of fish swam out of the sacks and into the marketplace of Fitsay.

Powerful sweeps of his arms brought Chu-Shkar closer to Fitsay and the renegade Sedrians. The underwater city was in turmoil. The marketplace had turned into a riot as the jellyfish-like creatures latched on to Sedrians. At the sound of alarm warrior monks came from their huts to challenge the invaders.

Klyn fired a harpoon from the SG-4 but it went wide to sink harmlessly into the silt of the ocean floor.

OOC The SG-4 deal 3d8 damage. The harpoons have to be reloaded as a Swift Action. Shooting the blaster mode underwater reduces the range by half.

Surging forward Chu-Shkar put his large body and greater strength to full use. His long hairy arms beat through the ocean and he stretched the gap between himself and his companions as he sought to reach the underwater city of Fitsay before the renegades caused completed chaos. The marketplace was still in uproar as the stinger fish brought mayhem.

Klyn shot the Imperial underwater rifle, the harpoon function working excellently. The harpoon struck one of the renegades. The Sedrian reeled but when she spotted her assailant she lifted her sun gun and shot. The alien staff fired a beam of golden light toward Klyn but fortunately the energy blast missed him.

The two warrior monks dropped from their towers their spear guns firing into the crowds of renegade Sedrians. Two fell but outnumbered the warrior monks were no match for the renegades and both were quickly overcome by attacks from spears, spear guns and sun guns.

More warrior monks were heading toward the disturbance from their huts.

Klyn struggled to move correctly in the water which was really annoying him: one time he moved in the right direction then suddenly went the wrong way...

He tried another shoot, needing it to hit as a way to vent his frustration.

Re: Return to Fitsay

As Klyn fired another harpoon another of the Sedrian renegades was taken out of the harpoon pierced their skin as the warrior monks desperately battled them. Finally as Chu-Shkar edged ever closer the renegades that had invaded the Great Shell Dome came pouring out. The last the warrior monks fell to the onslaught. The renegades now at close distance with the Rebels stared at them dumbstruck, the renegades had clearly never seen a Wookiee or a human before.

The six renegades were variously armed. Two carried simple spears, two had the crystal powered sun guns of the warrior monks, another had a spear gun and the final renegade held only a lump of coral looking material.

OOC Next actions. The renegades will not act this round as they are confused by the appearance of the Rebels.

Re: Return to Fitsay

Klyn had a feeling he was starting to get a grip on how to swim.
It did not, of course, mean that he wanted to do it any longer than necessary.

Taking advantage of the surprised look on the attackers, he launched another harpoon but he had presumed too much about his mastery of underwater fighting.

Re: Return to Fitsay

After the Sedrian had recovered from the surprise of being confronted by the Rebels they spread out as they swam away from the Great Shell Dome. The harpoon from Klyn flew harmlessly by to strike the nearby shell and gently fall to the bottom of the ocean. Ready to defend themselves the Sedrians retaliated. One fired an energy beam at Chu-Shkar, the crystal powered blast skimmed so close that Chu-Shkar had to dive out of the way. The other Sedrian with a sun gun felt the mystical power too precious to waste and held their gun ready but did not fire it. Returning like for like a Sedrian fired a harpoon at Klyn but it didn't come close to hitting the Alabak's Gold pilot and engineer.

Klyn tried to move to the right but his useless attempt at dodging the harpoon had him in a bit of trouble so he just fired at the one who just fired at Chu-Shkar.
His first instinct told him to target the one holding the strange crystal but he had witnessed the power of those strange guns and they really needed to get rid of those.

Re: Return to Fitsay

Putting on his final burst of speed, Chu-Shkar charged at the nearest Sedrian renegade. The Wookiee reached for the Sedrian. The renegade thrust out his spear as the Wookiee attacked. The head of the spear jabbed Chu-Shkar but it did not prevent the Rebel getting a strong grip on the Sedrian. The Sedrian struggled to fight, awkwardly he jabbed Chu-Shkar with his spear again. The other Sedrian with a spear swam forward to aid his companion and joined battle with Chu-Shkar. The Sedrian's were primitive but their spears should not be underestimated as not dangerous.

As the two spears fought Chu-Shkar the other renegades attempted to flee. The Sedrian with a spear gun covering their escape, shooting a spear to graze against Klyn's chest and draw blood.

Battle of the Great Shell Dome

OOC Renegade 2 scored an AoO vs Chu-Shkar then Chu-Shkar successfully grabbed him, so he now suffers -2 to attacks. Both spears then hit Chu-Shkar so in total he takes 22 damage. The spear gun hits Klyn for 1 damage.

Re: Return to Fitsay

Still unable to push himself in the correct direction, Klyn was stuck between two choices. Chu-Shkar looked in a dire situation, judging by the reddish taint of the water around him. But the strange crystal was certainly a vital element of whatever the Golden Sun was.

And if he didn't take down the one holding it, they might lose a vital battle...
On the other hand, they were focused on running, so if Chu-Shkar got ko, they probably would leave him.

He finally decided on firing on the crystal holder, but his indecision apparently had some effect on his aim... that and his poor attempt at swimming...

Re: Return to Fitsay

The Wookiee's wrath was ferocious. Brutally the Wookiee with his bare hands tore at the Sedrian. The Sedrian were powerfully built and the renegades had been taught by the war-bishop Karak. They stabbed at the enraged Wookiee but could not stop Chu-Shkar. Blood filled the sea. Wounded the Sedrian limped away, following slowly behind their companions which were kicking their powerful tails to escape any confrontation with the Rebels.

Re: Return to Fitsay

A roar from a Wookiee at close range was terrifying even for the most stout hearted Sedrian. The seal-like creature threw down his spear "I surrender" he barked.

The other Sedrians renegades continued to swim away at full fluke. The distance between them and the Rebels increasing until they were out of sight. At that moment Jason returned to Fitsay in the speeder-raft.

OOC Intimidate is a Full Round Action, so I haven't included Chu's attack. If you wish to continue with the attack after the Sedrian has surrendered I will allow it as next round's action although it would a rather nasty thing to do!
