The Imperial Attack

As the Imperials attack the city the valiant Sedrian swam forward to be joined by the renegade force. Alike the two groups of Sedrians met withering fire from seatroopers and the Swimmer. Neither group was daunted as they challenged the Empire to protect their home. A wave of seatroopers fell and the weakened Sedrian force fanned out to engage the enemy. Only the Swimmer continued to advance as the Imperial battled the sealpeople.

Suddenly the sea glowed a dazzling gold and the Swimmer hesitated. Was this the chance the Rebels were awaiting for...

Things were not going well for the poor Sedrians.

It was obvious their intervention would decide the fate of the battle.
And there was little room for error.
Klyn scanned the situation to get a better appraisal of just how dire the situation was.

Tera frowned as she could see the glow of the golden sun. She reached out to it using the Force wondering if it could be used somehow to disable the swimmer.

Lyla leaned over the console, peering intently through the viewport as battle was joined, seeking some way to lead this desperate defence to some kind of victory. But it all looked like complete chaos to her, Sedrians and seatroopers swimming in all directions. It was hard to realise a tactical advantage in three dimensions.

Then a now-familiar golden glow arose in the sea. Un-superstitious, Lyla didn't hesitate to wonder what this could mean. 'The Swimmer's confused, now's our chance! Let's fly over its back – the thing's an adapted walker, it's designed to shoot downwards. We can sabotage it from above.'

"What about an old fashioned mine? Do we have enough explosives for Klyn to rig them together? We could deploy it like an old fashioned naval depth charge.. Right on top of that thing.."

Having said that, he guides the Alabak's gold further towards the swimmer in the distance, wishing the thing wasn't so dreadfully slow in the water.

"When do you want us to open fire?"

The Imperial Attack

As before when the Alabak's Gold was making its first approach toward the ocean of Sedri and had lost all power mid-flight as the ocean turned gold, it happened again.

The wave of energy from the Golden Sun struck the starship and the computer systems were knock out by the power surge. From the look of the AT-AT Swimmer it had been equally effected as its movement stalled and the swinging of its head ceased.

Whilst the Imperial seatrooper and the Sedrians fought could the Rebels deal with the Swimmer whilst it was disabled or would it become a race to which machine the Rebel space boat or Imperial Swimmer became active first.
OOC Current Initiative order. Any actions taken aboard the Alabak's Gold is -10 Initiative due to its size. Jason can make a Pilot check instead of Initiative check as per the rules on vehicle combat.

Chu-Shkar begins trying to figure out if it's a computer issue affecting the Gold. Sitting at the closest access port he plugs his datapad in to begin diagnostics.

Use computer 17.

As during their arrival at Sedri when they had made their crash landing in the ocean the control panels were unresponsive. Chu-Shkar was able to turn on his datapad but when he plugged into the ship he got a blank response. Someone needed to restore power to the ship.

As the computers failed, Lyla looked around in dismay. 'Aw, cruk, now?' she complained, but quickly adapted to the situation. 'Okay, are we still coasting in above the Swimmer? Looks like we're still on Plan A. Glide in as close above as you can, then we'll drop out and raise improvised havoc on the Swimmer before it restarts.'

OOC: Is that even feasible?

"Damned!" swore Klyn.
"Not again!"

He was certain those shutdowns weren't good for the Gold's equipment.
He was, however, willing to let it pass this time as it shut down the empire's main threat too.  And the Sedrians really needed a break.

Whatever Lyna had in mind, Jason would do his best, and there was another vital task for him.
"Chu, let's see if we can wake the Gold faster than the imperials are doing their work."

Jason says as he tries to coax a little more out of the ships systems to get them towards the enemy ship.

Hearing Jason's answer, Lyla again cursed their bad luck. 'I don't suppose we can get out and push? Okay, get us close as possible, then we'll swim the rest of the way, and keep our tails crossed we can make it.'

She followed Tera down to the airlock, where she picked up the propulsion pack she'd looted from the ISC ship back on Isis. 'I doubt it will help. The Golden Sun's not exactly helping us help it now, is it?' she muttered to Tera as she hooked the propulsion pack to her divesuit, and lowered the breathing unit and goggles. Then she switched her SG-4 rifle to underwater mode, wicked harpoon ready at the snout. 'The boys are manning the ship. Leaving us girls to woman this fight.' she said with a dangerous grin, before she hit the airlock button.

The Imperial Attack

The Alabak's Gold's engine had stuttered to a stop as the power cut off but Klyn was quick to go and try to remedy it. Chu-Shkar was on it too, to do what he could to aid the ship engineer. The pair began to initiate whatever overrides they could as well and restarting the engines. The surge that the Golden Sun had sent through the systems was likely to cause damage but Klyn knew how to take care of the ship and his work did plenty to prevent any serious harm. It was still not going to be easy for the pair to fix things.

Ready to enter the fray Tera and Lyla left the ship. Jason did the best he could to keep the Alabak's Gold on course toward the AT-AT Swimmer but without the engine there was nothing to stop the sea pulling the ship off course.

In sea the Sedrians battled with the seatroopers. The Imperial forces were heavily outnumbered and without the support of the AT-AT Swimmer the Sedrian were not defeated yet.

OOC Tera and Lyla are now outside the ship.

More Mechanics checks from Klyn and Chu please.

Use the Force check from Tera please.

Chu-Shkar struggled with the odd Mon Calamari systems, as he was use to more human designed systems, but he did well enough to give Klyn a hand, The computers were out down here as well, but he did what he could.
