Looking at Lyla Chu-Shkar asked, "What do you wish for me to do?"

'Help me with these blast doors! Close and lock them all behind us!'

Tera for the sake of her own sanity and to make sure no-one would be left behind, checked the curtained off corner of the medbay.

Rynn moved with Tera to provide a bit of ranged support to the Jedi, and ensure she kept moving and didn't get left behind herself. He dialed up the volume on his voice amplifier. "IS ANYONE REMAINING IN THE STATION?"

Split from Klyn the Rebels explored the medical centre. Behind the curtain was a surgical bed and apparatus. The bed was unoccupied.

Klyn began his plan to sabotage the Repulsor Beam Generators but it was more difficult than the engineer had anticipated. Rather than command a shut down he might have to set an explosive or damage it enough with something else to stop it working.

The sounds of the Imperial invasion grew louder as the troopers began to break down the blast door.

OOC The Blast Doors can be closed by anyone but programming them so they won't open again for anyone else takes a Use Computer check DC 20.

Chu-Shkar goes to the access terminal for the blast door controls, and plugs in his computer. A quick diagnostic program quickly finds the security subroutines and he gets to work changing the codes.

Since he is a master slicer, and this is his specialty he quickly has the doors locked down tight. "That should do it."

Looking around for something he could use to disable the generators, Klyn made another attempt at disabling the securities.

'Thanks, Chu! You get these doors closed and locked, I'll run around like a headless gutkurr chook clearing these rooms.' With that, the twi'lek scout sprinted up a branching tunnel to the storage chamber.

As the Stormtroopers broke through the first blast door and into the base Chu locked the two blast doors that would prevent them following them through the Communications Centre. They had a bit more time which Lyla used to search the room at the end of the tunnel. Inside the room were many crates stacked up against the walls. The boxes were both the Rebel and Verpine supplies.

Klyn's expertise was repairing things but the engineer also knew how to dismantle or disable any device. The Repulsor Beam Generators were no exception. Klyn would have no problem deactivating the power supply and then short circuiting it so that the power could not be restored, or at least not before the whole asteroid was obliterated.

Lyla quickly but thoroughly scanned the stacks of crates, not wanting to leave behind anything that might be essential or top-secret, nor to leave behind any personnel who might be injured, lagging, or incapacitated.

Klyn signaled to the others that he was ready to launch the deadly countdown.
"Just tell me when you are safe and I will start it... and run like hell."

"I'm headed to the life boats, to make sure we don't have any surprises waiting for us." Rynn said over the comms as he raced to where the boats should be.

Grabbing Lyla by the arm he began moving her and him towards the lifeboats. [Language unknown: "Iohiai an haekssliei!"] "LET"S go lefty!"

He's not going to force her if she resists, but it's the idea of DANGER coming and he grabs the LT to drag her to safety. He's acting concerned, not domineering.

Not wanting to get stuck in the asteroid or caught by the stormtroopers Lyla gave the storage room a quick search. There was lots of boxes full of various essential items. What struck Lyla as odd was the way the boxes had been placed, there would be a gap in the middle of the stack of boxes.

Klyn had his sabotage ready and was awaiting orders from Lyla. Chu-Shkar watched over Lyla.

The first to reach the Life Boat Bay was Rynn. There was three bays for life boats. Two empty and one remained. Commander Ackbar stood by the open hatch to the medium-sized life boat "quickly we need to complete the evacuation" he called to Rynn.

'Just a sec!' Lyla pulled away from Chu-Shkar, hurrying to look behind or through the stack of crates. It might be nothing, might be just bad stacking, but some instinct or doubt made her suspect something more.


OOC: Has a box been simply removed, or have they been deliberately placed this way to conceal something?

An examination of the crates made Lyla certain that the placing of the crates was deliberate and that someone or something was hidden in the middle.

OOC: Is that something gone now, or still hidden? Lyla takes a quick look if she can.

Chu-Shkar, not knowing what she was doing, shouted. "LIEUTENANT, we need to leave! Those storm troopers will be through the door soon, or find a way around!"

'There's something hidden here!' Lyla retorted, climbing up and taking a quick peek behind the crates. 'I'm not leaving anything vital behind.'

Behind the crates Lyla discovered a trio of Verpine, their antennae nervously twitching.

'Oh, by the Goddess's tails!' Lyla cried, exasperated that these three somehow hadn't gotten the message to evacuate. Didn't they have telepathic communication or something? 'Come on, move, we're getting out of here!' she urged them.

The three tall insectoids garbled a response to Lyla that must have been their attempt at Galactic Basic then rushed off toward the life boats, reassured that the enemy Imperial hive soldiers had not penetrated this far into the asteroid.

Once they were moving, Lyla scrambled off the crates and sprinted after them. 'Now we're going!' she yelped to Chu-Shkar, clapping his furry arm.
