'Works for me.' Lyla agreed quickly. 'Stay safe and watch your backs. The Imps know we're here, but hopefully we'll make enough of a distraction to draw them away from your position.'

With that arrangement, Lyla began leading the others out of the control room and toward the makeshift prison. 'Let's go.'

Meeting at the cross roads

Splitting up Chu-Shkar continued to purge the computer system and monitor the base. Rynn kept an eye on the Wookiee and paced the computer room.

The others Lyla, Klyn and Tera backtracked toward the airlock #3. Circling around the asteroid they reached the maintenance workshop. A variety of tools, diagnostic computers and vehicle parts were placed through out the room. Seven Verpines stood awkwardly in the workshop, huddled together, all looked in good health and free from any binders, no stormtroopers or Imperials were in sight.

Teras eyes darted around almost expecting a trap at this point "Is it just you? Are there any more trapped in this facility?" she let Quantros know they were picking up the Verpines prior to moving to the dock.

Meeting at the cross roads

Lyla hustled into the maintenance workshop, quickly moving to cover and scanning across the room with the muzzle and sights of her blaster rifle. Finding herself holding up only a half-dozen unarmed Verpine, she lowered her weapon and let Tera address them. So much for her intended line "We've come to rescue you."

Meeting at the cross roads

As Rynn had already discovered the Verpine research station did not have any camera surveillance, Chu-Shkar was blind to whatever the other Revels were getting up to.

The seven Verpine chittered excitedly at Tera, one stepped forward slightly to introduce itself. The others stood inactive, all of them held crates of equipment and tools "you are friendly rebel hive?" it questioned "another of your hive is in tunnel" the Verpine pointed toward the hangar.

In reply to Tera's questions it nodded and waved its antenna wildly "there are many tunnels, others are hiding from the Empire hive. We had to flee or hide. We were captured but rescued by friendly rebel hive".

While Tera questioned the Verpine, Lyla continued on to the passage that led into the hangar. She could keep guard while they liberated the prisoners and also scout ahead to see what they were up against in there. She moved as quiet as a ghost and just as hard to see.

Tera closed her eyes "How many others are hiding? Can you get a message to them? We'll need to leave this place soon. It will soon be destroyed and whatever hives are left here will die too." Tera sighed "So where are the new ships that you made?"

"Apparently Quantros has been pretty buzy.

We are planning an escape - and a little surprise for the imperials."
said Klyn.
"We know there are many of your people scattered around. Could you tell them to move toward the hangar where the B-wings are? We will 'borrow' your ships and get ours back. We don't want to leave people behind."

Chu-Shkar searched the computer for any sort of sensors that would make this plan still viable.

Seriously, I don't see us doing much good here if there is no way to see where the Imperial forces are at.

"Two of B-wings are complete and in working order, they are in the hangar" the Verpine chittered excitedly.

"The hive is aware we must evacuate" the Verpine responded flatly to Tera.

Along the corridor Lyla crept closer to the hangar. As the Twi'lek reached the opening she saw the familiar form of Quantros. The dark robed human was knelt by the opening observing the Imperials.

Lyla saw passed Quantros, an immense hangar bustling with activity. A metal catwalk formed an awning some ten metres above the floor. Three other tunnels exited the bay. A hangar control tower jutted out from the stone wall. Two officers stood inside, directing the activity below. Across the bay, on the catwalk, three stormtroopers stood by a tripod mounted repeating blaster. Near them, four TIE fighters hung suspended from a temporary TIE docking rack. Twenty stormtroopers moved about the hangar's floor. A squid-faced Quarren directed four technicians as they loaded boxes onto an oversized Imperial shuttle. The Alabak's Gold was parked on the far side of the bay.

At the computer room Chu-Shkar and Rynn explored the computer systems. This was a research base and much of the computer held information files. Active control systems were available for the repulsor beam controls, shield controls and blast door controls.

~CHU-SHKAR to Lt. Lyla. I HAVE no camera control but do have repulsors, blast doors and shields. I ALSO have research data that I've found, and am downloading what I can. REQUEST that you communicate with me where the Verpine are headed so I can close off any other avenues of approach.~ He sent over the comms.

Meeting at the cross roads

Quantros! Lyla tried waving and hissing under her voice 'Quantros!' to get his attention but not the attention of anyone else here. If she did manage to signal to him, she'd gesture him to stay put and not risk leaving his hiding spot.

Surveying the hangar, she grimaced to see the excessive defences that would be aimed against them. She especially didn't like that repeating blaster tripod. She might snipe one Imperial before their alert went up, so she'd have to make it count.

Then she saw the Quarren. Was that Glek? Bastard!

She had no time to look further though, as Chu-Shkar's incoming message buzzed her. Thankfully, Lyla was smart enough to set her spacesuit comlink to silent. She retreated back around the corner so she could answer him. 'We've contacted the Verpine, will confirm their evac route... Are you able to open the hangar to space? We need a clean-out.'

Returning to Tera and the Verpine, Lyla asked 'Where are the rest of your people, and how soon can they be here? Can you show me on this map?'

OOC: Can Quantros see Lyla? Is the Quarren definitely Glek?

OOC Yes Quantros will have heard/seen Lyla when she decided to signal him. Taking a good look Lyla was sure it was Glek with the Imperials.

Once he get his answer he will move, carefully, toward Lyla, not wanting to attract the imperials attention by mistake.

"What's your plan to get rid of that tripod?"

'None yet.' Lyla admitted testily, distracted and worried by the scale of the Imperials' defences. 'We can hit 'em from two sides, here and the corridor, but there's no way past. And we can't hit this in a frontal assault. We need a distraction, a ruse, or total crukking chaos to take advantage of. But we can't go back and forth with the bomb, we have to arm it, do what we've gotta do here, then go... But at least we know who the traitor was – Glek's there with them.'

She took another look at the hangar, the gist of an idea in her tails. 'Those TIEs hanging from the roof... is there any way to make it rain?'

'Damn. Okay, thanks.' Lyla commed back.

Still, she liked the idea of using them. Or rather, loosing them. 'I'm going back for another look.' Lyla crept back to the corner and, still in hiding, tried to see a way to operate the racks.
