I do not need to (nor want to) see sprawling character descriptions, personalities, or backgrounds. A few sentences will be fine. Paint in broad strokes. Be brief and descriptive.

Let me know if there is a character option that's not available in the PHB or OSRIC, that you can’t live without, and we'll see what we can do to accomodate your character concept. I'd like to keep things simple though.

Important: Please do not send completed character sheets with your RTJ Application. I won't read applications that include a character sheet in the RTJ and I don't want to waste your time.

Character Selection -  Characters will be selected  based on a combination of the following factors: interesting personality/background write-ups, fulfilling party roles, decent grammar and spelling, and gut-feeling on overall party dynamics.

I will send additional character creation details to players who are accepted into this game.

I started playing D&D in the summer of 1984 and have played and DM'd every edition of the game. I have not played 1st edition AD&D in 23 years, but do have access to the rules and will be able to figure it out again. I have DM'd and played in several different PbP's over the last two years. Looking forward to having a chance to play in this game. Thanks!

One-sentence character concept: Idealistic young acolyte of Erathis
Character Name: Brother Thomm
Race: Human
Class: Cleric
Physical Description: Thomm is a short but stocky young man with bronzed skin and dark, swarthy features. Were it not for his warm brown eyes, gentle smile, and the holy symbol of Erathis emblazoned on his shield, he could easily be mistaken for a brutish thug.
Character Personality: Thomm is an idealistic young man dedicated to doing the bidding of his temple: most notably finding and destroying forces which would willingly draw the world to chaos.
Character Background: Thomm hails from a nomadic tribe from the Wilderlands. He was taken by Crusaders of Erathis when he was a very young boy and subsequently raised in the temple. He remembers little of his clan, save for a few memories of his dear mother and festivities surrounding the annual hunt.
