Fate & Bounty

Fate & Bounty

At the end of each game, the Marshal may at his discretion award chips for efforts taken during the game.  These chips will be awarded based on participation and contribution to the progress of the story, and will be done in this thread. Here's how it's gonna work:

1.  When the Marshal declares that the game has ended, POST IN THIS THREAD:

(a) Which chips did you cash in? For how much bounty?
(b) What, if anything, are you improving?
(c) What chips you are left with? (How many? Which colors?)

REMEMBER:  You can't have more than 10 chips at a time, so if you're around there, I suggest you cash in a few for Bounty.

2.  After you have done this, draw your chips from the pot. Roll 3d85 (or d86 if there's a Legend chip floatin' around). If you have an Edge, relic, or other ability that gives you more chips, increase your draw as needed. Use the following table to tell you what color your chips are:

Roll      Color
01-50     White
51-75      Red
76-85     Blue
 86      Legend



Notes:
  • White Chips are worth 1 Bounty, Red Chips are worth 2 Bounty, Blue Chips are worth 3 Bounty, Legend Chips are worth 5 Bounty
  • When raising Aptitudes, a player may only raise a character's aptitude for which he has succeeded during the preceding session of play.

End of Game Session!

Time for some chips...

EVERYONE gets the following:
  • 3 White Chips
  • 1 Red Chip
  • 1 Blue Chip




After you've counted up all your chips and decided what to do with 'em please post in this thread as follows:

(a) Which chips did you cash in? For how much bounty?
(b) What, if anything, are you improving?
(c) What chips you are left with? How much Bounty?

After everyone has done this, the Deputy will draw your next session's chips for you in the order of the responses.

(b) Getting two new gifts for 5 Bounty each (Hardy, Endure) and increase Scrutinize to 2 (2 Bounty)

I'm going to cash in a Blue and a White for 4 Bounty Points, which I will spend on increasing my Shooting to 4.

This leaves me with 4w, 1r and 0 bounty.

Sorry to be dilatory.

I'll spend 3 White and 1 Red for 5 bounty points and use them to improve Guts from 1 to 3 so Randolph can do something besides cower.

That leaves me with 3 White, 1 Red, and 1 Blue remaining.

Fate's been going pretty easy on you so far, hasn't she?  Don't worry, she's just getting warmed up.  Soon, you'll be knee deep in the cow pies she's flinging your way and begging her for more.

Here's what she slapped you in the face with today:


Daniel:      3W -- --

Randolph:    1W 2R --



Rolls are listed on the dice log.  Keep in mind, chips are first come first serve.  Once all the chips of one color are gone, your rolls automatically get downgraded to the next lowest color with available chips.  (Blue down to Red down to White.)

Gabby:       7W 1R --
Coraline:    4W 4R 2B
Caleb:       5W 1R 1B
Randolph:    4W 3R 1B



Note:  If anyone has Luck O' the Irish, let me know and I'll draw you an extra chip.

Please double check your final totals to make sure they are correct.  Report any discrepancies to the proper authorities so the matter can be handled with the professionalism you've come to know from your friendly Deadlands Marshal.
