The ship powered through Jumpspace in a week's time. Every wormhole tunnelling through Jumpspace collapsed in around the same amount of time, merely the distance changed due to the efficiency and power of the engines.

Ship's sensors recorded normal in-system traffic. The newly created and expanded League of Suns Interstellar Navy (formerly the Scout service's armed patrol and enforcement branch) were practicing squadron manoeuvres around the moon, and the Empress Victoria was requested to land at the customs base for inspection.

Blake & Marial make it so.  Nothing to declare could be interesting, but with a war going on ...  The usual pre-boarding paperwork exercise.

Anything special about this moon ??  Blake uses his eyes, not the sensors.

Neva had held her breath when they were coming out of jump.  She found herself extra jumpy now that she was a little more aware of what the engine sounds were "suppose" to sound like and training as an engineer.  She let it out when they exited space and the ship was still in one piece.  She actually "giggled" a little bit and had a smile on her face.  She quickly let it out though when she realized that she had giggled.

Neva patted the ships wall and muttered low "good girl".

Linus does his usual pre-inspection baking and delicious aromas are soon drifting through the ship. Whilst the cakes are in the oven he turns to the computer and makes sure everything is in order there.
