I'm running a sit-down game over Skype tomorrow (Cthulhu Now "CASTLE BRAVO" as I think I've mentioned) so am not likely to get a lot more prep work done.

Apparently, a rifle and no clothing!

For colouring purposes, weapons and gear tends to resemble Terran/Earth equivalents. So if you care, you can have an HK91 or FN FAL pattern rifle.

As well, if people want to "upgrade" weapons and gear, it is possible but more expensive. For example, if you want to say your rifle and scope is an SVD Dragunov that's fine, it will be a slightly more accurate rifle at a higher price.

I kinda figured you'd be cool with generic stuff, not everyone's a gear-head like me (and probably Hawk).

Don't sweat it, add detail if you wish, there's no pressure.

Nothing other than what's listed! You can now purchase gear from Books 1 and 3. No Mercenary gear, so no subbies (as cool as they are). The revolver could be a .44 Magnum (I'll work up some stats).

Since this is CT I assume we have skill 0 in basic weapons like a shotgun or rifle.

Indeed! You have skill-0 in all weapons in Book 1.

We're waiting for Hawk to get his act together. My error, I missed his RTJ reply! He's playing the great white hunter "B'wana".

In the mean time, go ahead and post gear lists. Obviously, Meva isn't going to have more than clothing, a Frontiers Industries HK91 clone and a blade. But the other PCs have cash. Anyone need Book 1/3 Price lists? I think I can post them if needed.

*Non-standard gear. Per Book 1, special weapons and gear are available (like a concealable SMG, Magnum revolver, sniper rifle, etc.) at GM's discretion.

Most gear and weapons you possess will be made by Frontier Industries, a subsidiary of a Frontiers Developments, the regional industrial power in Far Frontiers Sector. They make your rifles under licence, they settle planets (like Mirayn) under contract to the local interstellar governments, client states, even the Imperium.

I tried posting the link to the game links but I can't see them and don't know if they're active for GMs?

As for gear, I will post most of your gear in your character descriptions. (Excepting anything you really want private.)

I mean, for the most part it's not like you'd go to great lengths to hide what you're carrying from the others and if you're living out of a backpack or suitcase, it's simply not possible for most items without great effort.

Regarding Neva's free weapon, you can change that to a pump or semi-auto shotgun. That would seem to fit the character better. A rogue/street fighter is probably not going to be lugging around a big-assed rifle.

She would take probably a semi auto shotgun although the nostalgia of hearing the pump is nice too.  no...semi all the way.
