Saulente System, Inverness Subsector, Far Frontiers Sector

Saulente B986884-B Rich, Gas Giant

After months of circuitous of travel, the Inquisitor finally lay at orbit around Saulente (0704 C868755 B), an independent world in the Inverness Subsector (though nominally part of the Mnemnosyne Principality). The Inquisitor carries of crew of 19, plus 20 scientists and researchers and 8 Security personnel. The ship itself is a charter from the New Horizons line, a Free Suns company. Security personnel are provided by the Institute.

The crew was enjoying a little R&R before their final Jump. Though independent, Saulente was a major trading hub and stopover for traffic bound for the nearby Zhodani Consulate. There was no high port and the Inquisitor wasn't streamlined, so they were using the 2 modular cutters for space-surface transport.

At this time the crew of the Queen Victoria was deciding what to do, go down to the surface or stay on the ship.

GM Note: Please post what gear and weapons your character has brought along for this mission. It's ok to double up on expedition supplies and equipment, this effort is well-funded and organised so it's likely there will be overlap.

In reply to GM (msg # 1):

Lorraine asked, "Ken, do you and your crew wish to head down to Saulente? Or stay on the ship?"

"I always like to have a look around," said Linus, who was noted for his curiousity about how people lived on other planets.
