Re: Scene One: Tower Trouble
Lady Carolina bends on her husband's body to see if she can do anything for him, then raises her face, in tears: "Is there anybody here that can help him?"
As nobody replies, she takes the decorated knife from the Baron's belt, raises with a resolute, now tearless face, slashes her wrist and lets the blood drip and mix with her husband's: "I, Carolina Bluestone, Baroness of Kallamehr, swear on my blood that I won't take any pleasure, nor my soul will rest until you will be avenged!" Then she pauses, tense, before adding: "Your bloodline will keep governing this city!"
She then looks around at the citizens, still holding the bloodied knife: "We have now to expect an attack from our foes, as they may think this tragedy destroyed our morale. They will see what the people of Kallamehr is capable of!
The Guards, the Navy and the Army will have to keep their positions.
Who wants to go and avenge your Baron?
I'll speak with the volunteers after the Council meeting. Great prizes and honour will expect the avengers."
Lady Carolina then starts giving orders to take the body to the Palace and summons the Council for an urgent meeting, never letting the bloodied knife out of sight.
