Hauling the heavy logs to the site of the new room, Alhamandrel and Elspeth compared calculations; mistakes in caverns could be dangerous and costly. Directing the Gladewalkers, a troupe whose very namesake felt out of place in these lofts, Alhamandrel pointed to the areas where the new doorways and pillars were to be hewn and carved. Setting bracing beams, the Elves got to work. Although it was less common for Elves in this region to live in the mountainous regions: it certainly had its advantages. Finding this place, although difficult proved to be more than adequate for that very reason.
However, learning about the area beyond the walls of your new home was essential: and the archers knew it well. No Elf guarded their own without knowing the totality of the land around their borders, and surviving here would be no exception. Thanks to the age-old expertise of their Leaders, the Gladewalkers finished the work handily, taking advantage of the heavy, mountain stone to simplify the construction process.
