Sylvia entered Havenin and was in for a heavy shock.  After the days of settling down in the small rooms that the Light Hammers had affectionately dubbed, 'the Lair', the massive space and population of Havenin was overwhelming.  Thankfully, the population played to Sylvia's advantage; knowing full-well that with a new spring, many warriors and mercenaries would be available, seeking food and meade after the forced-hibernation that was winter.

Finding an adventurer's guild proved difficult only because of the winding streets and spiraling masses of peasants.  Entering, Sylvia struck a regal pose, followed by the toss of a bag of coins on the counter.  Eyeing the woman; the proprietor immediately stood-up and snapped his fingers.  Soon, plenty of mercenaries were standing tall in the foyer, looking as menacing as possible: afterall, menacing meant pay, and pay meant food.

[ Sylvia achieves an Astounding Success at conducting Diplomacy with Havenin (D4). Assign 2 XP related to Diplomacy skill. ]
[ You find that prices are a bit cheaper than normal, this week only:
Selling (to you) Stone at PREFERRED rate.

[ Reply with choice of purchase or to not. ]

[ Light Hammers successfully Construct a Barracks Room. ]
[ You save 2 Lumber, consuming only 23 Lumber. ]
[ Add a Barracks room to your Lair in (F6) ]

Going to hire the Lv1 Goblin with an extra point of Offense.
Going to hire the Lv2 Dwarfs with +1 Offense and +1 Strength.
Gabriel will learn Seer to augment his primary purpose of Scouting for Stuff.

So that is -35 gold -23 lumber for the turn.

Now that you have consumed the Ritual of Cleansing - you may only return to conduct Diplomacy at the Temple of the Sky for the following:

1) To begin a Saga.
2) You may attempt another Ritual of Cleansing - but, will only be offered new magic opportunities if you roll a higher success (at least Significant.)

You may still send Unit(s) to Scout here as normal.

If What Hammer went up 3 levels then add 2 Offense and 1 Strength.

Well, without a scholar; 3 Level XP will not bring them to level 5.

Level 3= 1 more XP.
Level 4 = 2 more xp.
So, they could reach level 4.

(and, yes - 25 Iron is crazy good!)

Sylvia has plans for a new Workshop in F6 and she is off looking for a new supply of Wood for her noble followers to harvest. Next month, she will have to find a nice deposit of stone so that her loyal minions can renovate the Workshop as quickly as possible.

Brief description of final tournament fight.

As Ronja's Wild Minds and Sylvia's 3 Tusks face-off in the tournament, tensions are high.  The last round of the tournament culminates in a battle between a rag-tag band of disheveled and unkempt Humans against a lock-step unit of heavily armored Orcs.

The Wild Minds take the initiative and attempt to cut into the formation, but find the heavy shields and disciplined wall of the 3 Tusks impossible to penetrate.  The slower, but determined Orcs steadily work in measured steps around the arena, battering against their shields with even strokes.

The fight goes on for what feels like hours.  Many spectators, so immersed in the moment, pass-out from the sun's intense heat; littering the stands as people lapse into unconsciousness from exhaustion.  Just as people were becoming bored, suddenly the 3 Tusks spot a hole in the 3 Minds dashing and dancing.  Striking fast, they land several blows which tear-apart the team.  The crowds leap back into excitement and begin cheering as the 3 Tusks steadily fell the remaining Wild Minds.

Sylvia is going to Bribe the Drakes of Bouldergrave to improve relations. I am hoping for another Epic Roll. She will also be purchasing Iron to build up the town HOPEFULLY be able to hire an actual Drake Unit so she can start training it as the center piece of her offensive units. Soon as I can get a Drake or two, offensive operations will get started to get a bunch of combat XP for the troops.

While 3 Tusks distracted the two Monstrous Spiders - Diamond Scales waded-in and let loose a blast of flame, surprising the creatures and sending one fleeing immediately.  No sooner had Fizzbang armed 3 Tusks with mystical bows and arrows, that Diamond Scale once again drew from his powerful bow and brought-low the mighty creature.

In C8 I think there is a total bonus of +31 from external bonuses, +21 from skills, and +50 from leaders. 102 before the die are even rolled!

When Housed, This Artifact provides +3% to all Combat-based Rolls.
Special Activation: You can never Completely Fail when conducting Diplomacy at CPs with Humans.  Additionally, the Recruitment and Upkeep cost of all Human Units (and Extras) is reduced by 2 GP [only reduces GP costs, not Foodcosts.]

Girded with hardened steel, and a mystical might that will be sung through the ages; you set your forces loose upon the growing threat that is the imp.  Sturdy tail, blackened eyes, and the breath of a dragon - just as Diamond Scales attempts to let out a puff of flame; the beast bursts a gout of searing fire and sulfur- tearing up your eyes and filling your nostrils with the smell of death.  Your troops hold firm as the 3 Tusks, hardened Orcs begin banging on their shields and drawing the beasts attentions.

Flying high, everyone else is forced to pull out arrows and lob them into the air.  Almost none hit, save for a sudden salvo from the Storm Riders!  Despite their inexperience in ranged combat, their natural Elven ways combined with the human's tenacity in handling their mounts creates the perfect flanking maneuver.  The arrows sink into the thing's monstrous hide.

Crashing down in a fury, the Imp attempts to claw at the 3 Tusks, but only finds the chill of the steel and iron shields to greet it.

The steel riders once again prove to the the heroes of the day as they charge back, lances at the ready; allowing the rest to bear down on the beast in a swarm.  The day is won, but at a cost of great knowledge; nearly a third of the library has been burned to a cinder.

[ 3 Tusks, Diamond Scales, the Storm Riders, SteelGut, the Light Hammers, and Herman band together for an epic brawl. ]

Take the 2 Horses.

SteelGut gains 3 Levels, gaining +3 Offense and 2 skills to Aggressor[4]
Storm Riders gains 2 skills to Aggressor[3]
3 Tusks gain 2 skills to Warder[4] (That should keep most levels of tactics from stopping this effect).

The Architect is paid 8 gold to build a Barracks in Starhold (F6).
-New Spirits can Unlive there.

Scalvagers gain Lv3* and Mason[2]
Botanists get jack and sh!t.
Grey Gobs get Level 8^ and Mason[3].
What Hammers gain Level 8, +1 Offense, Mason[5]

Gabriel gains Bard[5*], Spy[3], AND Diplomacy[7*]!

DF2 Quest please. This is because I am finishing all these other quests and getting ANOTHER lv5 or 6 quest to get a Fanatical Town. That was a fracking awesome roll! I should make Oathmaker this coming week.

All units have mounts (Except Botanists).
Remember that 3 Tusks has Undaunted Stand and is entering combat with an equal # of units and should get that awesome bonus. Please let me know if Steelgut 1 shots anybody. There have been some weapons moved around to make those 3 as powerful as possible. Trying to get that last bit of XP that Steelgut needs for maxed offense and some skill XP for the Guardians to get high enough to get Warder.
*If Leadership and/or Tactics do not count as Combat Skills then Herman will be aiding 3 Tusks.

Mind Leech then Minor Breath: First target Marbled Stalwarts, if there are applications left over then against Phoenix Guardians, and finally (if I am luckier than I have any right to be) the Forest's Shadows would be targeted last.

All Ranged Attacks will go towards Forest's Shadows. I fully expect most to be redirected, but if just 1 can hit and do damage....

I honestly expect this to all come down to moral rolls in the end, but this will literally decide the entire game. If I had 3 more weeks to teach all my troops Fervor and Mind Leech I think the battle would have been different. If you do not mind, could you 'pretend' to roll Mind Leech the extra 9 times against those specified and note when the troops attacks failed to penetrate for less than 20? Just need totals, since I fear that Sylvia's changes of possibly winning are only about 40% given his troop layout and 3 Tusks not getting the Undaunted Stand bonus.

At this point - I'm granting you the option to "pull out" similar to the Ambush setting on the Tactics roll.

3 Tusks and the Phoenix Guardians are dead.

You may select up to 3 Units you want to "keep" (any that you "keep" over 1 will have to cause you to remove some of your Units currently stashed away at your other Lair.)

You will be allowed to flee with up to one artifact per leader (if you have space at the other Lair). (Edit: remember, you can store artifacts in the Storage Room, but, gain no benefit from them if you have slots in Storage.)

Each fleeing Unit will be capable of carrying one Foodstuffs with it, as well as "filling-up" on gear that is in the storage room and transferring that.

Everything else will be lost.

Each of your leaders will take 1 damage.

(Kenry is not affected by any of this, as he is not a Leader, yet.)

All of Usurpation-wide abilities follow you.  They are not lost.
Your Leaders may take up to 1 HQ Gem with them, each.

Your Extras flee with you.

Your 3xhorses (1 per Unit that is fleeing) go with you, however; you may run into feeding problems as a result. (you don't lose obscurity if a horse dies from not being fed though, so *shrug*.)

You also keep "Lightless Growth" - That actually should be marked as a Usurpation-wide ability - it just "chops" up the foodstuffs per lair.

Steelgut takes over 1 Craftsman tools.
Only 1 Gem was in F6
3 food got taken.
Artifacts put in storage.

All surviving units that show up to D8 will be given 5 gold to help them survive until they can be housed again, in an attempt to keep them loyal. If they show up in A5 next week (Week 4) they will be given jobs constructing barracks, they will be housed, retained, and fed.

Everybody left with horses and 2 mules in F6 got axed :-P

Basically he gets all the leveling and skills. He will become the new Parry King, given that he actually has to get hurt in order to get combat fatigue. At lv10 he will have 10 defense. No way I am going to get to +25 armor/shield for him, so spells will have to do.

Offer a Barracks in D8 to complete Refugees on the Run.
Not sure if Leader Bonuses apply if the Leaders are healing, because you did not report that they healed last turn, so this turn they are doing NOTHING but healing.
When Mysterious Room is done, the artifacts will be put in it and turned on and active.
Henry will aid the troops before teaching Sylvia if he can not do both and/or Sylvia can not learn while healing.
