-=Ponyville Spa=-

Whether you're getting cleaned up for a big event or just want a relaxing afternoon, the Ponyville Spa is the place to go for a royal treatment that will leave you looking and feeling like a million bits, but without costing anywhere near that much.  Run by the twins Aloe and Lotus, you can soak your cares away in this luxurious day spa environment in the care of their well-versed hooves.

Re: Ponyville Business District - Ponyville Spa

Lotus happily trotted about the spa as she readied it for the day; Aloe was about somewhere she was sure but so much needed to be done!  The large bath was filling even as she hurried about, and the perfumed water scented the air with the heady fragrance of a spring flower garden.

The floor seemed to glow with a polished shine and reflected the warmth of the hanging lamps that illuminated the areas of the wide and open spa that the large, frosted windows did not.  Pausing to fluff the cushion of one of the reclining seats surrounding the large bath, Lotus smiled as she worked.  She and Aloe had arrived early, as always, and it was all Lotus could do to contain her morning cheer: every sunrise held the promise of re-shaping somepony's day for the better.

Re: Ponyville Business District - Ponyville Spa

While Lotus was full of pep first thing in the morning, her twin was prone to swaying the other direction.  Aloe wasn't much use right after dawn and followed along her her sister's hoof steps with a much slower pace -- it took her a while to get going and there was usually caffeine involved.  While Lotus tended to the baths, Aloe busied herself with the milder task of getting the saunas ready.  Each sauna chamber featured a carefully measured stack of heating rocks and coals in their basin -- when water was poured over the stones, they would emit cleansing steam to fill the room and melt away aches.  The scent of rich cedar wood invigorated the pony a bit as she worked to get the burners ready for the day.

"Lotus, did you remember to check the appointment book for today?" Aloe called out from down the hall.  Roxie, the spa's secretary normally stationed at the front to accept clients, had personal matters that day and left the business in the care of its twin owners.  While they could always count on their regular customers like Miss Rarity to show up like clock work, other appointments had to be considered ahead of time.

"The appointment book?"  Lotus asks, lifting her head from sifting through the dry ingredients for the bath sachets.  "Oh!  I forgot!"  She admits with a giggle at her own actions, and as soon as she's measured out just the right amount of lavender Lotus turns and trots toward the front desk.  Leaning one hoof on the desk and using the other to page through, Lotus began to look over the day's schedule.  "Let's see..."

Re: Ponyville Business District - Ponyville Spa

It seemed that it was going to be a fairly quiet day, all things considered.  There were a few ponies who always had regular appointments like Rarity and Fluttershy, though they were sometimes prone to cancelling if their lives got too busy.  There were only a handful of ponies on the list for that day.  At least it would allow the twins to give their customers all of their attention rather than having to rush anypony around to keep schedule.

"It looks like we have a pretty light day, Aloe!"  Lotus called out, her tone chipper and bright.  "That means I should have time to visit Zecora this afternoon about the extra herbs we need.  Or did you want to go?"  She checks the next day's list of appointments before stepping away from the desk; Lotus is eager to get back to mixing up those sachets.  Humming cheerfully, Lotus sifts and sorts the dried plants into little linen bags.

Re: Ponyville Business District - Ponyville Spa

"You can go ahead.  I still need to go by the post office to see if those new oils have arrived from Canterlot yet.  We can leave together after lunch."  the pale pink pony confirmed their plans for the day.  She came trotting out from the saunas after a bit with the empty stone bucket in her jaws, glad to have a job well done.  One of many around the spa, actually.  There was still so much left to do!

"We're getting low on seaweed wrappings as well.  I'll put in another order later." Aloe mentioned as she seated herself across from her sister to lend a hoof in getting the fragrant sachets filled and tied.  Their luxury services were expensive to supply, but thankfully they were well-funded.  Ponies like Rarity practically kept the place afloat some times...

Re: Ponyville Business District - Ponyville Spa

"I hope they've arrived; we're almost out of tiger lily essence and I'm not sure how far we can stretch the amber oil."  Despite her words, Lotus doesn't really sound worried about the situation.  "No worries about the wrappings--I sent an order in on those yesterday before we left."

Lotus sits back after a moment, seeming suddenly contemplative.  "We should have an open spa day, Aloe.  We could put in a big order for everything we might need, and then we could open the doors and treat everypony who visits!  Wouldn't that be fun?"
