Re: Valle Viola
Berry Punch was a very friendly, amicable pony. She was difficult to offend and easy to get along with. There were very few things that she was truly serious about to the point of vehement arguing, and her being angry about just about anything was incredibly rare.
But nopony, absolutely nopony, ever said that about her wines.
Slamming her front hooves on the desk as she climbed up and stood to her full height, the usually cheerful mare stared at Beamer with serious, determined, and clearly insulted eyes. In an even, steady, and deliberate voice, she said, "Every single drop of wine we make comes from our hard work, diligent attention, and love of our craft. Do not associate inexpensive and affordable with cheap. I could easily charge five to ten times the bits I currently do for my wines and still sell them all, but I do not pour so much of myself into our wines so that only the affluent can enjoy them. We make enough profit for my team and my daughter to live comfortably while retaining enough to maintain the vineyard and its facilities as well as having some left over for improvements and donations to the school, small as they may be. Just because we do not charge exorbitant prices does not mean we do not sell only the highest quality wines, sir."
Having gotten her rant off her chest, she meekly climbed back down from the desk and gave him a sheepish smile. "Ah, my apologies, sir. I know you meant no offense. I am just very passionate about my work. Please, take back your bits and, if I have not offended you terribly, please follow me." With that said, she walked out from behind the desk and started walking out of the building and towards a slightly larger one, her hips swaying as she walked. She looked over her shoulder at him with the same flirtatious gaze she'd given him earlier and said, "I think we could both use a glass of wine right about now. Won't you have a glass with me?"
