{{ RULES }}

You aren't obliged to read all the rules below but you are expected to abide by them.

{{ GMs will move, edit, or delete posts made by players for housekeeping reasons and occassional spelling corrections. If there is any other reason you will be informed via PM.

{{All characters joining this game, must be at least 18.

Please note this is a Mature game and remind yourself of the Adult policy rules periodically.

{{ Where possible if you are going to be absent it would be appreciated if you can give warning to the GMs and those characters in direct contact with your own via PM. This will allow people to work around your absence. It may not be possible in all circumstances to give notice so don't worry if you can't, but please make an attempt to do so if you can find the opportunity.

If you disappear your character will be moved to group A along with any threads which are not required by other players. Without being able to determine whether you'll return this information will be left in place. Computers break, people get ill, life happens. I'm reluctant to delete anything without being certain you're ready.

You're considered to have 'disappeared' if you don't log in for over a month. If you do log in, but don't post, you'll be contacted by PM. Failure to respond to that PM will be treated the same as if you have disappeared.

{{ Please play nicely. Try to avoid phrasing things in an offensive manner, and please try to give other players the benefit of the doubt. It's very rare that anyone means to cause insult, and if they don't mean to do it I ask you forgive them instead of having it out. Disagreements don't need to devolve into arguements.

I encourage players to explore their character in their post, which means that sometimes their thoughts will be included. Please don't mind-read, and please don't let anything they write become personal. Some of the best relationships in games have been a rivalry between chracters, and everyone has days when they hate even their closest friends for just a moment.

{{ It's preferable for posts to be in third person past tense, but this isn't enforced. They should be checked for spelling mistakes and consistency.

Please don't create posts that consist of "PM (Private to X)" or only an OOC comment. Try to put meaningful text above the private line if you can, even if it's only a single sentence. The exception to this would be notes and letters tagged '[LETTER]'.

In preference over private lines I would ask you to tag your OOC comments as (orange)(small) except in cases where the comment is to be directed solely to one player or to the GM(s). OOC questions (particularly where you ask for clarification of something in the scene) should be visible to all players unless there is a specific reason for secrecy.

When entering or exiting a scene please use a tag to indicate your relocation so players can keep track of who is in a room and the GMs can keep track of everyone's movements. In this instance it's okay to post the exit tag alone if you're following another character to a different thread. If you want to vanish and not be followed just use "?" as your exit tag and add in a PL where you're going for the GM's benefit.

Speech can be highlighted in colour, thoughts in italic.

{{ In extension to the posting conventions please collaborate with the partners in your scene. Try where you can to progress the situation instead of simply reacting to the previous post. If you're having trouble posting consider your character's desires and goals and then comtemplate what they would like to get out of the encounter.
