Well, I run towards excessively complicated characters with multiple pages of background detail myself - after all, I made a PDF just for Gerad's house, which is a specific sub-power- so I suppose I can help you waffle! Waffle iron engaged! Fry factor nine!

Due to real life, Xenophon has departed the game. They expressed an appreciation to everyone for their patience in teaching the game concepts.

As are the cycles of creativity and energy, I feel my juices for the game are dwindling. Pesky cycles. That said, I think we can finish up the Phlan Pools of Radiance plot here, but I have nothing planned beyond that. I have no doubt in my mind that the three remaining heroes can face off against the entity behind the madness...

I see two words unfamiliar to me. Bezoar and sigla. What do they mean?

Are we expected to provide shopping lists as well? About how much of a price ceiling?

Well, we had 12,000 GP (or a bit more) each after adding things up. And it is kind of traditional to spend it. So shopping lists.

Sigla - a fancy symbol. In this case basically a version of the "create magic tattoo" spell set up to last indefinitely. You can have three. One of the facilities that Gerad put into his house. https://dnd.arkalseif.info/spe...too--1193/index.html

The word bezoar is derived from the Persian pād-zahr (پادزهر), literally 'antidote'. The myth of the bezoar as an antidote reached Europe from the Middle East in the 11th century and remained popular until it started to fall into disrepute by the 18th century. People believed that a bezoar had the power of a universal antidote and would work against any poison - a drinking glass which contained a bezoar could allegedly neutralize any poison poured into it.

In reality they're concretions that form in the digestive tract, most commonly in goats. The idea that goats can eat anything likely led to that ability being ascribed to that weird lump of stuff in their guts that other creatures generally didn't have.

He basically bought a magic item with a caster level of thirteen to do it. Although - opening the file to check on it - I do see a typo; That should be Spell Resistance 12 not 23. Must have had my fingers one key too far over. Sorry Khorolf!

So I could add sigli to give me

1) a +2 Enhancement on Intelligence

2) a Resistance bonus of +2 to all saves

3) a +2 Competence bonus to all attacks

and that would be within the 12000 gp shopping allowance?

SR is only 12? Still good for annoying apprentices and such.

It's in that PDF he made. Lots of fun stuff in there - like a shrine that will enchant weapons for you for free even if it is pretty slow.

Unfortunately, it looks like I will never get a dragon to live in the dragon lair I installed. Darn it. Still, if the game is ending, maybe I will just find that Neron is taking a nap there.

He was around somewhere. His last post was during the afterbattle meal at the castle (with the giant). Of course, being a dragon, he might just have decided to live his way back to the present with the advantage of foreknowledge to pick up wealth and power with little or no risk.

It's a minor detail, but wouldn't you need an Iron Heart Vest for Wall Of Blades?

Great choice though. With the level of attacks being thrown around, even one block per battle can easily save your neck

Handy! I think that I'll stick with the Undying Fortitude thing though. Only three rounds twice a day, but the list of immunities is great for a boss fight. They've always got all kinds of weird tricks, and leaving it up to Gerad to counter them all sort of seems like just asking for it somehow.

Shopping lists within reason are doable. The surrounding frontier cities have supplies.
