I decided to collect and collate all the notes on Gerad's house and the various upgrade's he's been installing - so here is a nice PDF for anyone who wants to know what facilities are available.

  • The Falling Star Forge has produced some really, REALLY, minor stuff, but Gerad is mostly inspecting that.
  • Nobody's been into the Supply Cabinets this week, so about 250 GP of basic supplies is available.
  • The Alchemy Lab is well stocked with Alchemists Fire, and Acid, and other basics.
  • The Obol Forge  was only just installed, so no Obols yet.
  • The Astral Seine has been left alone for at least a month. There are likely about six Dream Catchers available.
  • The Loom of Mystara has been on it's own for at least six weeks. but it will be another six before it produces anything anyway.
  • The Waters of Memory should be producing an Amulet of Frognarok in about a month.
  • The Lunar Shrine should have about six Echoes of the Moon, and one Sigil of the Changing Moon.
  • The Realm of War you can start taking advantage of any time, but it doesn't really have things "ready". You might want to put a spare weapon in for improvements though.
  • The Invisible Labyrinth won't have any Staves available for five months, but you can get Sigla (Magical Tattoos) there any time you've got a half an hour and those are quite useful.

Merry Christmas!

I've been ill for the last week straight without signs of letting up. It'll be a bit before I'm able to make coherent thoughts and make updates. Otherwise, the break has been very helpful.

But there's no rush. One good thing about PBP: you can always take your time.

BBC = Bulletin Board Code. What most sites like this use. A much simplified version of HTML.

HTML = HyperText Markup Language. Used to make web pages. A very basic version might work as BBC.

Text = words only. Loses almost all the spaces, fonts, columns, symbols. Etc.

Whoa.
 First of all never heard of Ingenuity.
Thought Warcraft was 6 per level not 3.
We need a Comeliness score?
Bonus Feat at odd levels I knew. Ability
Score bonuses every Even level is new.

There's quite a few skills listed I had no idea existed. Touch(what is it)? Knowledges (at least 4 new ones).
Martial Arts keys off Dex? All this time we have been keying it off Str.

I think that's just a quick copy/paste edit, so there are likely a few glitches. From what I see...

"Ingenuity" looks to simply be a name for "Humans get a bonus feat". Probably something along the lines of "Humans are very Ingenious. They get a bonus feat".

Warcraft is 6 per level. So... could be a reference to the general adventurer template (calling for a minimum of +1 Warcraft per two levels, or 3 CP worth per level). Or it might be a typo, or copied over from someone with a specialist version or something. I can't be sure without some GM input.

Comeliness... probably not. Given the species diversity of the average d20 setting, and the easy availability of cosmetic magic, "Good Looks" are usually pretty subjective. I'm sure that Gibbering Mouthers look good to other Gibbering Mouthers. And maybe Satyrs - who are normally surrounded by incredibly beautiful nymphs, dryads and oreads - are all enthralled by dumpy bossy halfling girls who know how to cook and set up comfortable wilderness camps really well.

Skills... As far as I am aware, "Touch" is like "Spot" and "Listen" (Pathfinder just uses "Perception", but that tends to turn into a must-have uber-skill). It's generally just assumed, but if you want to get into safecracking, or read in the dark by feeling the difference between the ink and the paper, or fight blind by feeling the movement of the air and the tremors in the ground your opponents make, you could go for it. For the knowledges, the general rule is that the basic list covers most stuff - but more specific skills go into more detail. So Knowledge (Local) may cover law and a lot more stuff, knowledge (Law) will get you much lower DC's when you're arguing in court. Adept really doesn't belong there at all. Finally, specific Martial Arts can key off any ability. John simply has ones that key off Strength because he's got a very good strength modifier to use - and so focused on martial arts that took advantage of that. Gerad has a defensive style based on Dex and one for using Wands based on Int (mostly because he had some spare skill points).

I assume we can still cut and paste with this new format. Give me the new link to John's build and I will try a atandard cut/paste to a PM, then to Character Details. I can hope that at least one of those gives me something I can read for reference prior to posting.


In the updated version did we show where we added Ability points at every even level?

I'm seeing a bunch of cross-talk of IC/OOC in the wrong threads.


The rewards for clearing the city blocks is a separate reward from the other treasures gathered in the fight at the Graveyard. I've been dealing with some issues in another game. Always seems like these things go in cycles.

I'll take care of updating John's character since that's the bigger issue.

I've frozen the character sheet until I finish cleaning it up. Otherwise, there is a risk of one of us just nuking the labor accidentally.

Though, it's bed time for me, so it'll be another day or so before I get back into this.

Oh, I think it's still mostly things the characters are doing. It's just downtime format rather than on-an-adventure format. "here is a list of things I (as the character) are doing for this period".

Oh, #305 included some guesswork, so if there was something wrong, please let John and I know!

That template was from a solo game where it was humans and vampires. It's not a perfect reflection of this game.
