Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Coming off a very hectic few weeks. My brother just had his first child (er... technically his wife had the child) so you can imagine I've been busy with family stuff. I'll try and get back into gear!

^ congrats to them!

I will tally up inventory/plunder taken from the enemy, as well as experience awards and post that in the inventory thread.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Doria will want a decent sword and a dagger, she can sell her trident then its not all that practical seeing she is traveling on land.

But folks she needs to regain her power reserves before healing anyone.

Just a reminder that you are all responsible for your own character sheets, so if you wish to claim weapons, etc, please note your claim and add them to your character sheets. Same with any earned experience/wisdom/glory points, etc.

Very bottom of your character sheet will show current experience/glory/wisdom and amount needed to the next level

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

As a note, only Doria and Lsyandros are still the only level 1 PCs, but that is because they joined later in the process. Almost everybody has the same amount of gained glory/wisdom/experience right now.

Please consult pg. 17 of the rulebook for the leveling up chart. M&M keeps it pretty simple where you just need 1000 to get to level 2, and 2000 for level 3, 4000 for level 4, and such.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Already updated my experience. Regarding the loot I am only interested in the arrows (which is the max I can have in my quiver? And how many of the other members of the party also need arrows?) and maybe also in one sword if they have less Encumbrance than my spear.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Good question Itylus, a brief look at the rulebook doesn't seem to state what the maximum number of arrows that can fit in a quiver are.

Looking at other sources, seems other games/rulebooks suggest about 20 arrows per quiver, which I think is a fair number. Google search seems to suggest that real world archers would have had maybe upwards of 24 at minimum. Maybe it depends on the kind of arrows used. I'm not sure of the specifics.

For purposes of this game, let's go with 20 to a quiver. Obviously, you could also take another quiver as well and jam it full of arrows too. (Or as many quivers as you can carry) You'd just need to keep your encumbrance value in mind, as a quiver that is full of arrows counts as "1" encumbrance, per page 18 of the rulebook.

Otherwise - Arthanos has a bow and has arrows and can restock if he so desires. No other characters have bows but may want to consider taking one, assuming their class doesn't forbid it.

To answer your other question, a Spear is 2 encumbrance, Sword is 1.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Most people haven't posted since March. Feels like the energy has run out on this game again.

So I guess I have to ask if folks still want to continue? Maybe things might be more interesting and engaging if we did solo adventures (or parties of 2-3 at max?) Honestly it's hard for me to keep up steam in wanting to me run a game without further input from players and I don't want to have NPC interacting with NPC all the time. It's not really fun for me.

Also, finally:

Aleta:
Can I use a bow?

Yes. Sorry I didn't answer this previously.

Aleta and Doria would make a good team they are married, once my gal takes a human like appearance so her nature is less obvious.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

For those interested and posted in response to my last inquiry, send me a PM and let me know the kind of adventure you might be interested in having (combat focus, monster hunt, mystery, romance, etc) and I'll see about crafting up a private adventure thread(s) for you / others. Or I can run one of the modules that M&M has. We can "import" your current characters or create new ones as you see fit.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Apologies I've been away so long. Real life had me in it's grips again and I had to do some work on my novel before sending it in to get a reader's report (sort of like a pre-edit before I send it to a real agent or publisher.)

I am, belatedly still here!

Likewise still here --  and still interested.    Sorry for slowing down...it was just stuff on top of stuff, last month.

Happy to provide some input...

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

I am still alive and interested too. Sorry for being so late. As Eurenomes and Dysis, I have also been overloaded with work from my Master course this past month. I agree with the MM's decision, maybe a fresh start is what we need. I'll be sending my input shortly.

Good luck with you pending novel, Eurenomes! May I ask what is it about?

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

I am going to be closing this thread soon so further general discussion can either be on the public OOC thread I have opened up or if adventure specific, then on your own particular group OOC. I'll then archive this in case you need to look back at any other discussion at some future point.

Eurenomes and Arthanos - if you are interested in your own solo game or small group game then send me a PM. I'm not going to delete your characters so don't worry about that.
