Re: Public OOC Discussion

Maze Master:
Lysandros:
Might it be possible to know what my character's cut was from the mines expedition? He has purchases to make.

Certainly. I actually need to take a little bit of time to update the party treasure thread and look back over the Chapter 5 thread to see what else you guys found.

But, the contract for return of the artifact was 100 silver each. They got the better part of the bargain, but you guys were broke. :-)

Anyway, the 100 silver per person applies to everybody in the group, even those not originally part of the contact (Dionae and Tancea). The additional reward since you've returned is basically free room and board, plenty of food, other pleasures, basically being completely pampered.

Updated party inventory thread:

New Thread to Detail Party's Treasure and expenses

Treasure(s)
Party Funds: Currently 50 silver

Expenses
N/A

Party Inventory
- x1 silk rope and grappling hook
- x2 Rope and Grappling Hooks
- x7 Traveling Rations (consumed one a day per person)
- x4 Waterskins
- 2 torches
- x4 Bedrolls
- x1 Lantern
- x4 Flint and Tinder
- x4 potions of healing (1d6+1)

Mythic Items
- Belt of Apollo (claimed by Dysis)
- Dagger of Aeolus (claimed by Arthanos) - 1d3+1 damage, make x2 attacks per round
- Arrows of Hephaestus (claimed by Itylus) - (12 fires arrows, +1 damage; potential to ignite)

Uncommon Items
- x4 Potions of Healing (Heals 1d6+1)

The weapons and armor that protect/harm the undead were destroyed after you left the pocket realm of Hades - so they are not included

For mythic items, or any other items, feel free to redistribute as you see fit.

Re: Public OOC Discussion

I posted the below in my other game, but figure I may as well post it here as a reminder.

Me:
I want to take a moment to inform everybody, and remind those who were around earlier this year, that early this year we had a player who joined enthusiastically and then quit abruptly, in part, because another player in the game was ignoring things being said from her character to his over a number of posts.

Please make sure that you acknowledge your fellow players when their characters indicate IC they are attempting to interact with your character. While I understand that your character may not want to say anything back or give them the time of day, you need to acknowledge in some manner that they were interacting with you.

In our case we do have some new players, Stavos who just posted and Danae who is process of rolling up the character. Please make them feel welcome.

If this is an issue for anybody please let me know.

Re: Public OOC Discussion

Been a hectic work week. I anticipate updating tomorrow or over the weekend.

Also, since it has been brought up by Lysandros in the IC thread, how does the party want to travel? Looking at the game map you have a roughly 200 mile journey.

By foot - the journey would take about 10 days
By horseback - the journey would take about 6.5 days
By sea -  The journey could be 4 to 6 days depending on weather conditions.

You might be able to ask your patrons for horses. But if so, how many would you ask for? How would you intend to persuade them to lend the horses to you, since you are leaving Thena.

If traveling by sea you will have to inquire about the cost of traveling as a passenger.
Similarly depending on the journey, and with no hunters, you’ll probably need to get some travel provisions.

Re: Public OOC Discussion

I think by foot is straight out.

My vote will be for taking a ship, unless the cost is bank ruining.

Re: Public OOC Discussion

The cost of travel by ship shouldn't be to bad, buying horses would be a lot more.

Sea sounds best to me, but I'm the new guy, and just following the rest of you.

That being said: I WAS asked IC to provide a fast route, so I took it IC.

Re: Public OOC Discussion

That's fine performing and being charitable are noble acts in most Greek cities. So could be in front of the temple when they arrive.

Indeed, these can be challenging times to stay invested and active.  Any effort to return is welcome when you can make it.

Hi Dysis! Yeah, we always return and I refuse to break my track record. And hello to everyone else.

And it is good to be back again. I'm reading and hope to catch fully up and post tomorrow once I've processed everything.

and why you would suspect a Churgeon of such nefarious activity?”

I dunno - but my guess is the ancient Greek equivalent of medical insurance fraud!

Is all good. Tis one of my two least favourite times of the year (report writing), so i'm focused on that.

Hope the move went well, it's always hectic.

Re: Public OOC Discussion

I can tell you from experience:

I've played in this game since, I believe, 2013!  (counting an earlier version of it)

Over the years, he's sometimes been gone for months, or even over a year once.   Yet always returned to begin the game again.   I realize that may not console those who want to play now.   But I can assure you, this GM hangs in far better than most.

Re: Public OOC Discussion

I don't consider being away for months or a year "hanging in". That's less play time than away time, from what I can tell.

At that rate I'm going to have to relearn the game every time he decides to pick it back up. Not what I was hoping for.

I realize things happen, but this seems to be a trend, from what you're saying, not an exception. And no word to the players. Not a good thing.
