Re: Marching Orders

"Seems like this group can do everything but fight the war itself; Jedi, soldiers, a couple criminals that are good enough to hire, and an experimental droid." Seely looks at the dossiers, "I guess this is going to be the kind of work no one ever knows about.  If nothing else, it's hard to give medals to famous criminals."

Re: Marching Orders

The General nods, offering a half-smile at the preposterous notion of a renowned smuggler receiving a medal.  [[OOC: *cough, cough* Han Solo *cough*]]  She looks to the others for their responses as well.

Re: Marching Orders

After adding a name to the unknown person in the room, EAS-05 moves over to the table standing beside Seely and looking the datapad given.

Of the four dossiers only one interested EAS-05, "General Garza, is Jedi Shanda one of the Jedi consulted for the EAS series?"

Re: Marching Orders

"I don't believe so, Unit Five.  I think she is a bit young to have been consulted.  Admittedly, the heirarchy of the Jedi isn't well-known to me, but their power structure often features advancement through age and experience.  Why do you ask?"

Re: Marching Orders

"That is disappointing.  I was hoping to meet those who have had a hand in the creation of my predecessors and myself.  Will Jedi Shanda and Jedi Duran be aware of my presence before the start of the mission?"

Re: Marching Orders

Serina studies the droid carefully and finally decides that she'd rather have it facing off the sith then she herself. Then she turns to study the datapad's.

"So, apart from a twi'lek and a Miraluka, there will be no other races along? It may be important when determining the medical supplies"

Re: Marching Orders

"That is correct, Sergeant.  Your standard kit should be sufficient, but please feel free to place any requisition orders.  Your budget will be accomodated."

She stands again, bringing her arms behind her back.  "Any further questions?"

Serina thinks for a long moment before shaking her head.

"No Ma'm, I believe I understand fully"

She turns to Seely next

"Any orders before the briefing tomorrow ma'm?"

Re: Marching Orders

"Show up ready.  I don't know if you have anything you want to sort out, but don't leave anything unfinished that can distract you in the field." Seely nods at the Sergeant, "Most importantly, make sure any civilian obligations know you're leaving; don't want to burn any bridge for when you come back."

Re: Marching Orders

Seely thinks it over and gives a short bob of her head, "I'll buy you and the team a round when we get back.  If they haven't buried you under paperwork by then, General, I'd be glad to extend that to you too."

Re: Marching Orders

"No further questions, General Garza." EAS-05 places the datapad back on the table, responding to Garza.

Focusing its attention on Seely and a new query on her, "Commander Komad, am I to return to the testing facility?

"That's fine, Easy; report for the briefing at the appointed time at the appointed place." Seely looks the droid over, "I trust the technicians have been performing proper maintenance?"

Re: Marching Orders

The droid just stares at Seely for a few moments, "Easy?"

EAS-05 pushes past it and moves on to the question.  A moment of scanning logs and the answer is given, "Prior to reactivation, a full maintenance check was performed.  All hardware is in top condition."

Re: Marching Orders

"It's easier than EAS-05.  Unless you prefer we use the full designation." The Captain has to wonder if droids actually have preferences or if that's just an illusion of programming, "Anyway, I was just making sure everything's in order.  It's fine if you just go to the testing facility."

Re: Marching Orders

Garza looks down at her wrist again, though not to use the communicator.  "Well, I must be going.  You'll probably want to get out of here, there's another meeting starting in 20 minutes.  Some training integration development group.  Grossly boring stuff, and I know we're not invited.  Ensure you're all ready in the morning."  The general exits the room from a door in the back, opposite the ones you came in.

Re: Marching Orders

"Aye General.  It was nice to see you again." Seely looks over her fellows and takes one last moment to tell them to contact her on her commlink if they need anything before heading out.  She does not want to be caught up in a boring meeting, not with a lot of calls to make and a lot of business to worry about.

Re: Marching Orders

"Easy..." EAS-05 thinks about the name, "Understood, Commander Komad, this unit will make the appropriate changes and respond to Easy from now on."

With the briefing over and the small group dispersing, EAS-05 contacted Davin while exiting the meeting room, "Technician Davin, the briefing has concluded.  Commander Komad has directed this unit to return to the testing facility.  I shall await pick up."

Re: Marching Orders

And with that, you're done for the evening and are free to set about your duties in getting ready for the next morning.

Feel free to specify what that is, and if there's any further RP we need to do, there's time.  The criminals are ready, just waiting on the Jedi to get to a point.

Re: Marching Orders

Seely just needs to put in her leave of absence, make sure her finances are in order; other boring stuff like that.  Other than that, she's going to enjoy her evening, relax, and avoid any sort of trouble.

Basically ready to move along.

Re: Marching Orders

The team behind EAS-05 puts in an all-nighter.  Making sure that the droid's body is completely ready for actual combat and fine-tuning the combat algorithms.  One oil bath later, EAS-05 is put on stand-by and left awaiting transport to the rendezvous.

Unless there's something I don't know, I'm ready to move as well.

Re: Marching Orders

Serina heads off to her room, and checks the latest battlefield reports that she might have missed, and spends the rest of the evening getting some well deserved time off and attempting to mentally prepare herself for the oncoming mission.
