Yep. Though as with before, I kind of need the battle and so forth to be sorted out before I can do my actions, since exactly what I'll do depends on who survives, who ends up captured, and so forth.

Re: In common prayer (OOC)
I'm going to give it until Thursday before I continue on.

Being reduced to three active players will change the focus of the story. As for the battle on the road, I will cover that on my thursday post; depending whom we have left.

@Sorrel: Various holiday, family and occupation troubles that complicated my life far more than I anticipated. Though, now I'm clear of that tumbled mess and am ready again to be PBPing. ^_^

Re: In common prayer (OOC)
Right, only two houses and a single serving member of House Berathram.

~~

The State of the Westerlands:

Civil War has erupted!

Castle Presence and its sizable armory have been claimed by a Band of Knights calling themselves the Knights Moat Water. "Defenders of the Lands Moatlife until a true successor can unite the Moatlands. We will make no act against rightful lands of other lords; but, we shall not allow the fate of the Moatlands be decided by an outsider! We call for all loyal Moatlife successors to defend the Moatlands!"

Rumors say that House Necron and House Ylpard support the Knights Moat Water rebellion against House Lannister. With their banners flying over Castle Presence.

House Loneshield marshals its forces and seems to ready for war. However, it does not declare its allegiance with House Lannister or the Rebellion.

House Berathram seems to ready for war as well but does not make any declarations of allegiance with House Lannister or the Rebellion.

~~

House Sorrel & House Kranner: you each get house action to react to the current situation.

Samwell: [Private to Samwell Jast: House Berathram intends, along side House Loneshield, to rebel against House Lannister. Samwell will have to decide either to stay loyal to his Lord Berathram or to Lord Lannister.]

PM

[Private to GM: Sam was never loyal to Lannister, only to his lordship and his family. Ever since Lord Berathram rescued Sam from the slave pits as a child. As it turns out that Lord Lonesheild is alive, is Lady Lonesheild needed? She may still be useful as a hostage-although not as useful. Also, do we get any XP?]

House Kranner also rallies its troops

[Private to GM: Lord Kranner brings Lord Loneshield up from his cell once he reads the message.
"Loneshield, I have just now received a missive from my son. It seems that Lord Sorrel has been using us as part of some plot against you, and that he has turned against us. I am willing to release you in exchange for your word that you will not make war upon my house. However, before we do so, I have a suggestion for you: an alliance, to make revenge on the Sorrels. Lannister holds my wife hostage, but if you would attack Sorrel, I would have my men fight under your banners, and if you wish to do so even join you in opposing the Lannisters."
At this point, Kranner feels Indifferent toward Loneshield
Attempting to Incite Loneshield against Sorrel, he rolls 11.
04:14, Today: Secret Roll: Lord Yohn Kranner rolled 3 using 1d6 with rolls of 3. reroll 6.
04:14, Today: Secret Roll: Lord Yohn Kranner rolled 14 using 4d6 with rolls of 6,4,3,1. Incite.

Re: In common prayer (OOC)
Damn, truly with only 2 houses remaining in play this turns quite into something completely different than what had me join the game in the first place :- (

Even more frustrating: all the machinations we have seen so far.
If I recall correctly (to my shame I have not yet re-read all that has happened before), the two remaining houses did not part … exactly amiably, right ?

Did you nudge the other houses via rmail, too ?

Any chance we see new blood ? Did you give out a call for new players ?

Am admittedly rather uncertain whether I would indeed continue.
Mind, I truly love the tale you spun there but my reason for joining was the multiple-houses-approach… and my expectation still is more than 2 houses.

Yes, by all means, Sorrel is making ready for war, but at this point declares for no faction.
Castellan Merryn increases watch duty and also patrols along Sorrel borders.

Re: In common prayer (OOC)
Alright, I am announcing my intention to try this again. Basically reset to episode 1 with new players, new houses but with the same foundation. Still House Moatlife and the Westerlands. So I'm going to start deleting characters and houses to clear up the clutter for newcomers to stake their own claims. Though, I'm going to keep an archive of the previous episodes to have a rough guideline of the first few episodes. To Kranner, you can keep your house or build a new one if you wish. To Samwell Jast, you can keep Samwell as a freelancer or a sworn-sword to one of the new houses; or you could make your own house if you want. To the New Gods, if you wish to Co-GM or run your own House, it's up to you.

A new OOC will be made as well, since these older posts from old players might overwhelm new players. Sorry for the long pause, hope you can all join up with this venture once again! : )

Re: In common prayer (OOC)
In reply to House Sorrel (msg # 654):

Same for deal for you as House Kranner. Sorry, I thought you were one of the Houses that left. So, you can keep Sorrel for the reset or build a new one if you want.

Those here and now are the old players. The ones from the original episodes. The new ones will be whomever we recruit to join us.

The Gods:

To clarify, I mean to say that I will be calling for new players. Since, right now we have, at most, three old players. One of which wasn't a house but a sworn sword of a house. So it might suit us best to bring in new people.

On thought, I'll probably give a loyalty bonus for the old players still sticking around. Not quite sure what form that will take, but I figure you all should get some sort of break for waiting so long for the game to continue. (Perhaps letting you keep what glory/experience you've garnered upto now? A narrative boost that your Houses were considered especially loyal or prestigious? Again, I am unsure.)

In reply to Samwell Jast (msg # 655):

You can play Samwell Jast as a sworn-sword of a new house (just not for House Berahthram since that player has left) OR you can make a new character if you want to. That's one option I want to leave open to you "old players". If you like what you have, no need to force you to try to come up with something else. Unless, you are particularly inspired to play as someone else.

Send me the character sheet, once we have it figured I'll shift you to the new character. Which house they'll be loyal to or if they will start as a freelancer we'll determine once we know what houses will be present.
