Re: Episode 4: Errant Arrows
Once the competitors of the Archery Compeition had assembled, Lord Tywin Lannister stood from his seat. "Lords and Ladies, I present your Archers!" The markedly smaller smallfolk crowd cheered while the nobles applauded. "I would ask all archers to take their marks and prepare to fire on their targets."

Murmers of confusion and concern rippled through the crowd when they saw only three competitors of what was, nominally, a tournament of Moatlords.

Allek Kranner

Shergo Kelthor

Yohn Shefford

"Given the small number who grace my field, each man shall loose three arrows at their respective targets. The best two shall compete head to head tomorrow for the finals."

Re: Episode 4: Errant Arrows
Allek loosed three arrows, but hit the target only twice. In truth, he was rather distracted, and didn't particularly wish to continue to the next round, as for now time was of greater import than weaponry.

00:08, Today: Allek Kranner rolled 2 using 2d6 with rolls of 1,1.
00:08, Today: Allek Kranner rolled 7 using 2d6 with rolls of 2,5.
00:08, Today: Allek Kranner rolled 5 using 2d6 with rolls of 1,4.

Re: Episode 4: Errant Arrows
Shergo went to his marks, and pulled back his bow, wincing slightly.  His first hit the target square on.  His next shot was poorer, as the wound started to effect him.. and his last shot missed it's mark entirely.

[Private to The Gods: Alright... those were wierd rolls..

14:07, Today: Secret Roll: Shergo Kelthor rolled 5 using 3d6 with rolls of 1,3,1. Marksmen Test -1d6 for wound.
14:07, Today: Secret Roll: Shergo Kelthor rolled 7 using 3d6 with rolls of 4,2,1. Marksmen Test -1d6 for wound.
14:06, Today: Secret Roll: Shergo Kelthor rolled 12 using 3d6 with rolls of 6,3,3. Marksmen Test -1d6 for wound.

Re: Episode 4: Errant Arrows
Yohn Shefford loosed three arrows with practiced ease: the first two finding their good marks while the last went wide of the most difficult shot.

Lord Lannister rose from his seat away from Lord Sorrel who was at his chair. "Yohn Shefford and Allek Kranner step forward." he waited for them to do so. "Lords and Ladies, I present your finalists for tomorrow's championship match. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy the rest of the festivities. As well, in honor of Moatlife's warrior beginnings, I will grant use of this archery field for an open tournament of any smallfolk who wish to showcase their mettle. Prove yourself smallfolk champion, not only will you earn 20 gold coins as prize but the oppurtunity to face the noble's archery champion tomorrow for a chance at 200 gold coins with a chance of employment at my personal recommendation in any archery company of your choosing within my House's command or the Houses of the Moatlords. The Warrior's spirit with you all!"

The smallfolk cheering was a bit louder this time as many a aspiring soldier's archer readied to compete. The nobility applauded Lord Lannister's kindness then stayed to watch or left as they willed. Lord Lannister himself left the area attending to some matter at his personal tent away from the field.

Allek exhales slightly as he sees Shergo miss the mark. His eyes find his mother, who nods to him.

Elsie cheers loudly for her brother, and goes back to talking with the various nobles, courtiers, and knights of the Rock. She's looking foreward to her stay in Lannisport, and already devoting herself to making friends

Shergo sighed, and Berag went to him, smirking.  "Well, don't worry.  You had to do this wounded, you did good.  You showed even with a hole in your belly, you would do what must be done."

He let the Measter help him back to the tents, where he would probably remain confined, while Berag went to Lord Lannister's area, seeking an audience, but waiting for his liege to finish his other business.

[Private to The Gods: ooc: Going to wait on lord Lannister's convienence... then inform him of my knowledge of Lord Kranner sending smen to gather an army, and the other moat lords, to attack Lord Loneshield, who he claims is ALSO gathering an army.  Kranner stated he had your blessing, and you saw his actions as not violating the peace.  Since He was asked to keep said peace, and keep an ear out for the coming and goings of the Moatlords, he is fufilling his vow.]

Re: Episode 4: Errant Arrows
Having been dismissed after only a very breif conversation with his liege, Olwyn's face clearly shows his dismay.
He watches the archers rather bored.

Then, after Lord Tywin declares the day's end of the contest, joins him, together with his advisor Jocelyn.
He motions for one of his guards and mutters to him. The guard leaves, clearly looking for someone.

[Private to Lady Jenna Kranner:
A guard in Sorrel livery comes to you.
"My lady. Lord Olwyn sent me to inform you that Lord Tywin would now be available in his tent and he asks you to join them."

While Lord Necron remains in his tent entertaining Lady Vera, his wife Lady Lenina cheerily watches the archery match from the crowd, surrounded by her maids. The seat normally reserved for her daughter Elena has been filled by Lenina's closest attendant, Wyra.

Lady Elena's company has pulled up stakes and departed with Ser Griff and some of his men in tow.

Lord Yohn goes to meet with his son before leaving. "Allek, while I am gone you represent the house to all those here. I know you will win us glory and defend our honour." He embraced Allek, knowing that this may be the last time they meet.

He gathered six of his remaining knights with him, ready to ride after the rest of his men to lead them. "Men of the Moatlands! We do not run off at night like thieves and bandits, but proudly ride to the field of battle as men! May the Warrior lend us strenght and the Father let us be instruments of his justice. We shall be victorious!" They rode south as fast as their mounts could carry them, red Kranner pennants flickering at their lance ponts

Re: Episode 4: Errant Arrows
Berag was informed his lord could not see him, and left.  Odds are he already knew, and in truth, he should start to get wheels in motion, should they need to seek the field.  He marched back to his encampment.

Getting their, however, was his son and the maester seeming to be at odds.  That was very unlike Shergo, and he went over.  Berag and his son went into the tent with their maester and spoke.

A few minutes later a few messagers were sent to Allek Kranner, Lord Theirn and Lady Lenina, as well as Lord Olwyn.

[Private to The Gods: ooc: Alright here is what is going on:

Berag is going to learn that Shergo swears he was cheated, and send the maester and himself to try and find anyone that may be able to confirm Shergo's tale. Berag believes him, since he does not lie.

Berag is also going to inform the Maester, that they may need to get in contact with that mercenary that Tywin had told them about, though Berag would be hesitant, since he wishes men he can trust... and while loyal to Tywin, doesn't want to end up with a knife in his back.

Shergo will tell the Maester that he did indeed get visited by Lady Necron, and that he showed her the letter sent by her father.  He plans to remain her friend, and if that moves on to courtship, so be it.

Shergo is pissed at this loss, and has said if no one can be found, he would demand an audiance with Lord Tywin, and persuade him that the Kranner's, who set up the field, cheated, and would go so far as to go with a challange of combat, though he would prefer to make it bloodless.  Naturally, Berag would champion for his son since his son is still wounded from [Private to Lord Olwyn Sorrel: ooc: It is a letter requesting your attendence for a hearing inside Lord Kelthor's Pavillion, in regards to the Archery Tournament.
]the LAST bout of honor :)

However, he would give Kranner a chance to defend himself, and do the honorable thing.  Also to see if anyone else noticed.]

[Private to Allek Kranner: ooc: The letter is asking you to come to the Tents of Kelthor, to discuss the tournament with them.]

[Private to Lord Theirn Ylpard: ooc: The message asks for you to attend a hearing in Lord Kelthor's Pavillion, in regards to the Archery Tournament.]

[Private to House Necron of Godsplain: ooc: The letter asks for Lady Lenina, and Lord Seifer if he so wishes, to attend a hearing in Lord Kelthor's Pavillion, in regards to the Archery Tournament.]

[Private to House Sorrel: ooc: Sorry, guess not... The message asks for your presence at a hearing within Lord Kelthors Pavillion in regards to the Archery Tournament.]

[Private to Lord Berag Kelthor; Lord Olwyn Sorrel; Lord Theirn Ylpard; Shergo Kelthor: "My lords and ladies, I have been sent a message detailing irregularities in the recent archery contest. I would not win a prize I did not earn, or take that which rightfully belongs to our friends the Kelthors, so I have come to work out what would be a fair and honourable resolution to the contest."]

“A meeting ?“, Olwyn mutters in surprise.
His gaze wanders to Shergo Kelthor, who had caused so much trouble already. And now Kelthor wanted to talk to him.
”Jocelyn, 10 guards and you with me.”, he decides.
The guards are quickly assembled and the entourage makes for the Kelthor tent.

[Private to Lord Berag Kelthor; Lord Olwyn Sorrel; Lord Theirn Ylpard; Shergo Kelthor:
”Aha, I see we have an illustrious company here”, Lord Olwyn say upon entering the pavillon and seeing so many men gathered.

When Allek Kranner makes his speech he frowns.
”Would you care to elaborate in some more detail, please ?”

The meeting continued.

[Private to Allek Kranner; Lord Olwyn Sorrel; Lord Theirn Ylpard: Seeing them arrive, he nodded to them.  "Thank you for coming.  To elaborate on what Allek had stated, I believe the tournament was set up before hand.  When I was being led away from the field by my Maester, I got a look at the targets, and it looked as if they were not lined up.  More specific, that Allek's targets were closer to the line, then the others.  I gathered you all here, because you were present at the archery tournament, and I wished to see if anyone had noticed the same.  ]

Re: Episode 4: Errant Arrows
Shergo greets the Necron's, before replying to the others.

[Private to Allek Kranner; House Necron of Godsplain; Lord Olwyn Sorrel; Lord Theirn Ylpard:

Looking at his father he then turned back to the lords present.  "Well, if that was the goal, it has indeed succeeded.  Your father rides out against precieved enemies... though no such aggression was given to us, we did recieve a message from the Loneshields asking if our lands had been plagued by bandits.  We sent a reply stating no, but never got an answer back."

He sighed a bit, before continuing.  "Well, I can see the Lannisters wishing to have the armory, but lets be real.  IF our new lord wished them, he could take them, and none of us could really oppose.  If he wishes to divide us, how hard would it be really?  Under our old lord, we were together, but now?  None of us has the power to actually HOLD the Moatlands, and the houses are not all friends.  But I digress."

Taking a breath he spoke again.  "Lord and Lady Necron.  I called this meeting, because I believe that the Archery Tournament was set up.  When I was departing the field, I saw the targets were not lined up together, but Allek's targets were closer to the line.  I was asking if anyone that had attended the day, had noticed it as well.  As Allek pointed out, if it was set up.. it was to put the less skilled man, no offense to you ser, against one of Lannister's men."

[Private to House Kelthor of Red Mountain; House Necron of Godsplain; Lord Olwyn Sorrel; Lord Theirn Ylpard: Allek screwed up his face, conflicted about whether to speak up. "I think you are wrong to say so. My father certainly believes Lannister fears offending us too greatly. Whether he simply wishes to save the men and gold that would be spent putting us down, or thinks we may seek aid from the Reach, he doesn't want to give us anything we could rally around in rebellion."]

Berag could sense the upcoming conflict.  Would it kill the tournament, and in effect, his chance at getting back his lands?  He did not want this tournament to be over.. not yet.

Leaving his own pavillion, he stormed over to the Lannister Tents, seeing them start to mobilize.  If the Lannisters were infact moving out, then it was indeed a bad day, and Berag could only growl in frustration.

Berag growled again, rubbing his forehead.  "Very well, I will see him in the morning then."  Was all he said, before returning to his encampment.  If these moat lords cost him his lands, he would kill all of them.

When he returned, however, his son gave him some surprising news.  A short discussion ensued, but for once, it wasn't load enough to be overheard.
