1 Year Anniversary

We will be skipping forward to June 1st, 2003.  This jump will take place at the beginning of the Thurs. live session.

What I need: rapport roles where applicable
Any goals your character wants to accomplish.  This may require rolls.
General idea of what you've done in spare time.

What you need:  Remember to allocate the skill and refresh point awarded previously.

Re: 1 Year Anniversary

Israel spends most of the next few months putting his house together – unpacking the miscellaneous collection of items he has inherited from various relatives, but had been unable to bring to Scotland before this time.  He discovers his gnomish friends are actually rather useful for unpacking boxes.  Sol also comes by several times to help repair or renovate parts of the house.  Before the month's out, Israel also celebrates Purim at the Temple with Sol and Tola.

A break from March to June allows Israel to finish out the semester without any major crisis, getting a little closer to his masters degree..

In regards to magic, he spends the time necessary to finish his staff (which will replace his blasting rod, except in cases that the staff would give his identity away.)  He also spends some time studying both with Horace and LD, but especially LD, as Israel is very interested in any knowledge pertaining to Nevernever routes and passages.  He continues to have Ben collate information on magic users disappearing in the near east, and sending these reports to the Council.

Israel tries to get to know most of the office better.  With Rebekah gone, Ariel is also out a roommate, so he takes her to dinner a few times (as friends, nothing more).  He tells Alex that he will visit his church if Alex will visit the temple – providing a more well-rounded religious education for both of them.  He shows Angelica around town since she’s new – though, honestly it’s kind of like the blind leading the blind.  Although Hanzo is primarily a swordsman, Israel asks for additional weapons training, hoping the lessons will allow Israel to use his staff as a weapon. And of course, whenever possible, he calls Rebekah, but the time difference makes that difficult.

Israel likely hangs out with Jacob as well, as after a year as partners I'm sure they've got some kind of ritual - a regular pub or diner they frequent or something similar - but that will require input from Mike as well.

Temple friends: 3 + 1 = 4

LD: 3 + -1 = 2

Horace: 3 + -1 = 2

Alex: 3 + 1 = 4

Hanzo: 3 + 0 = 3

Ariel: 3 + 1 = 4

Angelica: 3 +2 = 5

Rebekah: 3 + 3 = 6

Anyone else I missed: 3 + 1 = 4

Re: 1 Year Anniversary

Jacob also spends most of the intervening time working on renovations to his house, though probably much more slowly than Israel as he's also recovering from the punctured lung and broken ribs from Zijuatanejo.  At least some of this time will be used getting back to fighting shape.

I'm going to spend at least a few weekends fishing with Sergei and Father O'Riordan (or whatever his pastoral title is), maybe even dragging Israel along if for no other reason than to laugh at his discomfort.  Once Jacob's recovered enough for somewhat more strenuous activities, he's going to try a little fowling and perhaps some larger game (deer, maybe wild boar) with Duke and anyone from the office that would like to go.

It kind of requires burning the candle at both ends, but Jacob's going to call home to Krystal and James at least once a week, trying to time the call for about 4 PM Shreveport time (9 PM in Edinburgh).  He's still trying to figure out how to tell Krystal about the true nature of his work, though she already knows that injuries and death are a very real possibility on the job.

As for the crew from the office, Jacob tries to develop a good working relationship with them as well as genuine camaraderie outside of work while respecting their privacy.  He makes sure to share plenty of stories from boot camp, his deployments, childhood, football stories, etc.

As for the "ritual" with Levy, I figure a drink at the local watering hole after work is appropriate.

Rapport w/ Sergei:  1

Rapport w/ O'Riordan:  -2  (guess Jacob messed up and told a "3 soldiers and a milkmaid" story)

Rapport w/ Krystal and James:  1

Rapport w/ the office crew:  3 (WTF?  The office crew loves me more than my family!)
