Adrenaline normalized, wounds licked, Levy has been staying with his family, learning a bit more about what his father has secretly been up to, and making plans to go back with Ruth.

Williams and Alex are staying at LD's house with Duke, who isn't so sure about Tel Aviv.

After the funeral, a messenger arrives informing you Ariel has been released from the hospital into her personal physician's care.  The hospital staff got a little excited, apparently none had ever seen a Native American medicine man in full gear.

At the reception, which is doubling as a victory party, the identity of Israel's grandmother is revealed, her place in Israeli Intelligence publicly recognized after years of being classified.  She is also credited with stopping the assassins sent after Director David at the Levy residence.  Very little is said about it, rumors suggest perhaps she used a bomb or other explosive to drop the wrath of God on them so fully no one is entirely certainly how many assassins died.  At least 3 different people.  (Note: DON'T **** WITH SWORD WIELDING GUARDIAN ANGELS)

Sergei and Director Bres are spotted cornering Ruth, who it turns out they have agreed to offer a summer internship with Interpol, which will help pay for college in Glasgow.

After a certain amount of regalia has passed, Sergei and Bres round the two of you up to talk.

Bres Congratulations gentleman.  A lot of good was accomplished.  The war wasn't ended of course, but their plans could have crippled Israel, and ended us.  We're still here, and Set's organization just got crippled.  I call that a good day.  Not to mention I found my daughter, and Levy rescued his sister, who appears none the worse for the experience.  Even if she does know things she isn't suppose to now.  Hopefully she didn't see anything so terrible she can't sleep.  Keep an eye on that, I will help if possible.

She clears her throat and casts a glance to Sergei, who is keeping his KGB face on, but nods slightly. In recognition of your contributions to this operation, and for the circumstances surrounding them, Mr. Levy, I would like to offer you your job back.  You didn't do anything I didn't do.  I'm also informed by various disreputable sorts,she looks mock disapprovingly at Sergei and over to where David is standing, that we need you on the team, and I agree.

Israel can't help but allow a brief, self satisfied smile, before bowing his head slightly and replying. "Madame Director, it would be my honor to return to my duties.  I have a few personal issues to deal with in Tel Aviv, but after that it will be my pleasure to be once again at the disposal of Interpol and Cloud Task Force."

In reply to Israel Levy (msg # 2):

Good, Agent Levy. You do what you need to here, and return when you are ready to get back to business.  If possible, I think it would be best for our office to lay low a little while. Agent Williams, you are on assignment to keep an eye on Levy.  Levy, Williams, no unnecessary explosions, mysterious bodies, unquenchable fires, or the End of the World. Not without authorization anyway.

"Well, I guess I don't need this then", Israel says as he over-dramatically pulls out a notepad, rips out the first sheet, and tosses it behind him, "as there goes my to-do list.  And I was really looking forward to the unquenchable fire too. And Ruth's going to be disappointed we have to postpone the unnecessary explosions, she hasn't got to see one yet.  Oh, well.  Maybe next time."

Israel bows slightly to the Director and Sergy, "Sir, Madame," then spins on his heal and heads out.

"You coming Williams?" He yells behind him as he heads out to find/requisition/borrow/steal a vehicle.

First stop is to check on Ariel before she flies out (Israel's inherent martyr complex means he sees her injuries as somehow his fault, if indirectly) then It's probably time to talk to "The Librarian."

Ariel is presently at LD's house.  Best place in Tel Aviv for a Native American medicine man to meditate.  When you enter, you see a very sour looking LD, and smell...probably best not to ask.  You also see two men in the living room, smoke circling around them, really pungent smoke, and every now and then you see Wizard Listens to Winds take a pinch of, we'll go with herbs, and drop them in a small bowl of fire, which sizzles and produces more smoke.

The little man across the circle from him is withered, his white wiry hair in stark contrast to the dark wrinkled skin of his body.  There are also bones stuck through his nose and ears.  You take a moment to really really hope those came from animals.

LD looks at you and says:Only you can prevent house fires!  Your medicine man brought in a specialist apparently.  I'm pretty good with languages, but I couldn't catch his name.  I speak the wrong kind of pigeon. Anyway, he answers to Martin.  His western name I guess.  And he, my boy, is a genuine tribal shaman.  Well, he doesn't have a tribe anymore, from what I hear, which is very bad for a shaman.  He may try to adopt Ariel, and maybe the rest of you, never can tell.  Anyway, the Council, and I mean Listens to Winds, is protecting him in exchange for his assistance in things like this.

You notice several smooth stones in front of Martin, stones that look very similar to the ones you saw previously in the hands of the bad shaman.

Outside, a car pulls with official looking people getting out.

I always expect trouble, 's why I'm still alive.  If they're looking for trouble they found it.  A council wizard, a marine, and a crotchety old druid.  That's not counting the two in the circle.  I can almost guarantee that Martin has killed, probably ate 'em afterwards, and Listens to Winds is a member of the Senior Council of the Wizard Council.  You don't exactly get there by collecting bottle caps.

He spits on the floor in irritation.  No use being rude I guess.  I'll see what they want.

He moves to the door, opens it a bit, and speaks with a man outside.  Finally he opens it to reveal Daniel.

Israel, someone to see you.  _{My house is gettin' too damn small.} I'm gonna go play with whatever critter Listens brought with him.

Daniel:<Yis, I don't know what else to do.  My political career is more or less over, and I accept it if need be.  But I don't intend to sit by and watch opportunists take advantage of my mistakes.  Let me explain.  Mithura Industries had several government contracts.  Low bidders, that sort of thing.  We know now why they bid so low, they were using the contracts to get access to government schematics, buildings, sensitive areas and materials, etc.  The problem is we still need those contracts filled, but when Mithura went bust, some company called Hermes Consolidated swooped in and bought them.  Made a killing from what I hear.  The problem is now we have to go through renegotiation, and their lowest offer is over 3 times what Mithura offered.  To go with any else is going to cause enormous delays.  Mithura was already working on them, which means Hermes has the equipment in place right now.  To top it off, I'm being blamed by certain elements.  If I have to quit politics for my mistakes, Yiz, I will, but I still think I can accomplish some good.  That's where you come in.

The head of Hermes Con. is refusing to speak with most anyone from the government right now.  The one who can negotiate a better deal will get a major feather in their cap so to  speak.  If good enough, I might even go from hurting to stronger than before.  But I am slow to hope for so much.  He finally returned one phone call, and said he would hear me out, but I had to send you and your partner as the negotiators.  I know I'm asking a lot, and I know this could be a trap, which is why I looked into him a little bit.  I know you've met him before, the night of explosion my informants tell me he helped in some mysterious way.  Anyway, his name is Mr. Jehuti, and he's eccentric to say the least.  I don't know what he wants for the contract, and I don't know what he wants with you.  I still have a few favors I can pull in if you want me to, whether to find information on him, or provide security if you think it might be a trap.  I also have his number if you want to call him.  I'd say make an appointment, but he isn't taking any right now.  I honestly think he's keeping his calendar clear for you.  He did mention your partner, by the way, which is a relief to me, if he wanted to hurt you he wouldn't have invented a large american Marine to witness it right? >

<We'll always take any extra information we can get, but I don't think it's a trap.  He does have his own agenda, but for the moment, it seems to coincide with ours.  He had already asked to meet with us before we left, I think he's just making sure we follow through.  Have faith brother, We'll take care of it.>

Israel yells over to Jacob, "Williams! We've got a meeting with Thoth. Interested?"

When Williams is close enough not to yell Israel adds, "The guy who gave us the 'kill immortal soul stealer' potion - the one I've been calling the Librarian - wants to meet with us, and is kinda holding my brother, and government, by the nose.  His current preferred nom de plume is Mr. Jehuti, a variation of the Egyptian Thoth.  So we could be talking to another guy that thinks he's a god.  While he's not necessarily on the side of the Angels, so far he's been helpful, or at least non-antagonistic."

What the hell, I've always wanted to come to the non-Arab part of the Middle East, I'm in no hurry to leave it.

I love it when my boys work together! Little Yis went with his big brother for moral support to talk to a corporate opportunist.  After our Daniel's display of diplomacy, he got a new government contract worthy of someone of his stature!  And we learned just today his wife is pregnant! Oh joy of joys! The Lord has truly blessed our Daniel! At least Yis got to see his big brother in action before heading for wherever he's going.  And taking Ruth with him! Hopefully he'll keep her dressed properly.  And watch that mouth of hers.  And keep her out of trouble.  Oy vey.
