You're fighting a bunch of orcs. I've been DMPC'ing you. So far your spells have been mildly effective. The rest of the group has been more so. I'll DMPC you this round as well, since everyone else has reported in. There should still be orcs left in Round 4.

Yurkal's getting swarmed, the orc-shaman is still free in the field, but I'm starting to do something about that, Teg is advancing on the swarm and will probably enter melee once he can no longer effectively hit orcs and still miss Yurkal.

Now, now, be fair. Elorfindar did make it so one of the orcs has to roll a nat 20 to hit Yurkal... instead of the 18 he started out with...

And Elorfindar neutralised two orcs for several rounds! But admittedly, it's time for preaching now ;)

And speaking of conferences, I'll be at one next Tuesday through Saturday, though again there should hopefully be internet (there better be; it's a conference on digital preservation; it'd be sad if a bunch of digital archivists couldn't get internet working).

FYI everyone: I'm at a conference for the rest of the week. That would make posting sporadic enough on its own, but I've also managed to lose the power supply for my laptop. So until I can track down a new one, hopefully by this weekend, posting is going to be, um, light. Because it's hard to post from a laptop with a dead battery.

So please, talk amongst yourselves, go about the business of closing down camp, and otherwise keep yourselves entertained until I can get power again.

My sister lost the power adapter for her laptop, twice (though I think once it just broke). The replacements don't always work, depending on how clear they label the things, model numbers, etc.. As the one who dealt with customer service or otherwise scoured the web for a generic replacement, I feel you pain regarding this hassle.

Just for that, Yurkal, the next bunch of random orcs will be carrying spears... :)

I really forgot the power of spells in 2e, a lot of the "save or die" situations....

I'll try to post tomorrow and be more active in the game. Been neck deep in assignments and exams (first of the semester). Things will clear up in the next few days. This semester will sort of alternate like this every other week, at least until we switch rotations in late October.
