In other news, has anyone read the Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro? It's his attempt at fantasy writing, and probably won't go down well with either fantasy aficionados or his usual fans, but with it's post-Roman, Saxons vs Britons low-fantasy, it has a very Dragon Warriors vibe to it.

I will be out of town starting tomorrow for 3 weeks, with little time to access the internet. Please play Dann for me as needed to make the story move on.

Trivel will warn you all about his suspicions as soon as we're out of earshot.

I suppose Kores's inclination is to travel light.  There is water in BANQUET right?  Watery, watered down beer?

I have just picked up some healing balm's too, to help reduce the MP costs on Kores for healing.

In case anybody lost track of why we're here, we're here to rob the dead.  Is there a church in this town?  If not, maybe we can just ask around to see who knows how to travel north west.  If the villagers don't want to go someplace, its a good sign that's where we're going.

Kores reassures everyone that he knows how to find food on the trail, but they should bring enough since Kores can't sustain too many mouths whilst he's dead.  Not that he cares what they do with his carcass when he's done with it...

Hm...  lets review this next candidate.  Looks like he fulfils some basic credentials, can absorb steel blows, can carry a lantern.  If necessary we can distract monsters but pushing him forward...  and of course he can clean up his own blood stains afterwards....

A mule would be useful, carrying all our gear up the mountain.  We could even eat it if push comes to shove!
