Kores Varias:
In reply to GM (msg # 248):
Kores reaches for a certain scroll... one that might do more damage than a ton of rock....
"Back off!"
Kores stands by, ready to release arcane energies...
But reconsiders considering the confines and draws from his own well of sorcery to send a blast of flame the statues way.
Drake Taubron:
Allowing the momentum of his initial swing to carry him, Drake spins around bringing his blade back for a series of vicious slashes on the statue's head and shoulders...
10:03, Today: Drake Taubron rolled 2,2 using 1d20,1d8+1. sword attack 4 on statue.
10:02, Today: Drake Taubron rolled 7,2 using 1d20,1d8+1. sword attack 3 on statue.
10:01, Today: Drake Taubron rolled 4,2 using 1d20,1d8+1. sword attack 2 on statue.
Brannon Darrow:
In reply to Drake Taubron (msg # 250):
Brannon lets out a sigh of relief as the fragile key settles safely into his hand. Feeling the current of air beneath it, he nods to Colm in thanks, then heads for the door, hoping to get it into the lock and turned before it melts...
Dann of Clan Valin:
Dann has learned in the past few months that there are some things with which it is not wise to fight. He will keep his shield in a protecting stance and move backwards with caution, hoping to leave a clear view to any of his magic user mates.
Colm Cernach:
Colm backs away from the figting, following Brannon to the locked door. Summoning his energies once more, Colm exhausts the last of his Air Energy to fortifiy himself against further hardship. OOC - Cast Stargaze 2MP's AIR
Colm will then ready his sword and shield for melee combat.
Toirneach Lann:
In reply to Colm Cernach (msg # 253):
Feeling stronger, lann readies himself for combat.
Drake launches himself in a fury at the icy behemoth his blade striking with deadly precision but he is forced to retreat as he notes his strokes have not so much as scratched the damn thing.
Jon sends dagger after dagger at the statue but all of them simply ring off the incredibly hard blue ice of its form.
" Bugger this for a game of soldiers", he says, retreating off to the far side of the room.
Lann attacks his newly swollen muscles aching, he launches a series of devastating attacks at the statue but to no avail, he is thinking of another strategy when his final attack catches under a hard edge and breaks off a chunk of ice sending it crashing to the stone floor.....the statue, for its part, seems not to notice.
Dann stays behind his shield and watches, though his eyebrows shoot up when one of Lanns attacks has some effect.
Kores releases a blast of fire towards the statue, which hits it dead centre sending up a cloud of steam and leaving a sizeable hole in the thing....though it seems little slowed by it.
The statue lays about with its heavy fists, first striking at Lann then Drake and Dann. But none of its dangerous blows manage to connect with their targets.
Lute charges in apparently having overcome his fear of strange statues to hack at it with his massive axe. But only one of his blows has any effect shattering a large chunk of ice from the things shoulder.

At the door Brannon turns the key and carefully opens it and peers inside with Colm.
This is a long rectangular room, at the centre of which stands an altar with a green globe set on it covered with lace-like fronds of ice. A large heap of ancient gold coins and jewellery lies in front of the altar.
