Dann scratches the back of his head, not sure if he is happy that the party actually discovered something in this room. "Do you think it is safe to touch the hook?" he asks the others.

Lanns eldritch sight revealed a sheen of ancient dweomer over the hook and line...but the 'taste' of the magic was unknown to him.

"It would take years of study to accomplish this.  I know of ways to disperse the flux but such powers are beyond my expertise.  There are accomplished scholars in Ongus who know such ways.  Perhaps removing the enchantment would render this item useless beyond a simple rope and hook."

Gingerly, Lann picks up the rope and hook and stores it in his backpack.

Drake nods approvingly at his Companion Toirneach. "How about the other sigils? Perhaps they hide other treasures?" He gestures towards the other curved markings on the wall.

"That crack in the wall we passed by on the stairs...perhaps this grapple and rope may be of use there..."

Lann touched the other three sigils and similar shelves slide out from the wall each bearing an item.

One was a mace, its head shaped to resemble a horned one eyed skull. It was formed of jet-black iron.

A thick glass or crystal jar with a particularly loathsome-looking pink lizard-thing suspended in a solution of grey liquid. On closer inspection it can be seen to be alive:
it has tiny, razor-sharp yellow teeth.

A large brass coin of no denomination you know...it is certainly not Selentine or Gliss. The two sides of the metal disk are inscribed with geometric symbols surrounding a central eye.

This looks interesting.  Kores inspects it and if nobody objects he sticks it in his backpack.

Drake looks at the items on the shelves grimly. Each of them looks grotesque. Each of them reeks of foul sorcery and wicked magicks. He moves closer and picks up the strange looking coin gingerly, then proceeds to examine it carefully in his hand...

Lann draws on the last of his magical reserves to examine the items.  The jar shimmers slightly as Kores tucks it away.  The mace flickers with shadowy dweomer and the coin glows softly to his eyes with a yellowish cast.

"I suspect this may be some kind of solidified containment magic.  If this jar is broken, our prisoner may regain his usual proportions.  I suggest you all get out of the way if you hear glass breaking."

I m not sure if my spells are active or lapsed but between detecting the longsword n mace I think it shd not take up many spells?

OOC: Hmmm, I've got a few more See Enchantments noted...but we'll split the difference and say 4mp left. :)

Drake looks up from his examination of the strange coin. He tosses the coin in the air, catching it as it falls, then holds it out to Dann.
