I joined in 2016 too!

The 1st post (I think) of the game was on 31st Jul 2012.

If I remember well, Kores was already there. Colm was not named Colm at the time, but he was already there as well.

Finan, I remember he got chopped and I had to go save his life.  Otherwise he was unconscious and immersed in water.  I think hold breath only works if you're conscious.

I got the initial invite from the church guy, the father.  Kores was hoping to get some ancient Selentine loot.  I suppose he found a few answers.

Maybe the GM can turn him into a bad guy....

Re: OOC Thread 3.

Usopi: From there it’ll just come down to actually dealing damage, which may be difficult since my paranoid player brain is saying that they aren’t actually people but just animated suits of armor) we don’t see any eyes or skin or hair or anything right?

From the smell at least, whatever is inside that armour hasn't bathed in a very, very long time....there are signs beneath the helmets but its as if there is something dark coloured ( some sort of material?) under the helmet which makes it difficult to see anything clearly really....

I have been in this game since the start, but have taken a few breaks thus far.
We have been through a couple of players and several characters so far, the MOST hazardous game I've been involved in!

Re: OOC Thread 3.

In reply to Drake Taubron (msg # 12):

Haha, we can always just run, but I think this was still a good tactical choice. We have greater numbers, but fewer fighters that can stand tor to toe with any one of their fighters. Plus, if the other two enemy tanks come over the rise we’ve got ranged fighters who can pepper them while we hold the line.

I also don’t know what the other options are tactically. We could have charged up on to the ridge but then we would have had no maneuverability. One side of this ledge we’re on has a cliff face headed up right? Our climbers could climb and maybe fire down/throw heavy boulders on the enemy from elevation?

There is an overhang ( as shown in the pics above) but someone very brave/foolhardy could attempt a climb up the cliff face about 5m to the top above...a fall would be....unpleasant...

Hmmmm, now to see if we can eliminate one of these mooks without losing one of our own! Double down baby!

Edit - If I get hit again I’ll trade places with somebody, but I’m pretty sure I can survive another blow.

Re: OOC Thread 3.

Not at the moment. We’re on a thin walkway with barriers on either side. We can only engage two by two, so we’ll have to trade out when one of us at the front takes significant damage. (My guess is after this round cause I’ve already taken -5hps)

Unless maybe you’ve got a spear or lance something. I’m not sure what your weapons are.

Re: OOC Thread 3.

whelp, I definitely missed my target (though Chlainn got a critical hit on him, so hopefully he’s dead unless his hp total is crazy.)

I’m pretty sure I’m clear of taking another hit though, so I’ll trade out with somebody in the next round and rest up a bit from my wounds.

its not double damage, just automatic armour bypass.  Would be nice if I struck off his helmet though, I wonder what porcine features they have....

I'll be glad for Drake to trade places with Usopi to the frontline. Though I will defer in favor of Dann.

However I think this is a good place to try a shove. Get one or both enemies off the cliff. So how it looks like is this: once Usopi backs away, 2 of us basically dive at one of the enemy, one going for his torso, the other for his legs. The object is to grapple the guy and shove him off the cliff. Either imbalance him with one quick hard shove so that he topples over the edge (roll a natural 1 on 1d20?), or slowly push him inch by inch to the edge and then some.

I will leave the mechanics to GM. But it may look like this:
The 2 of us who dives, each makes a grapple attack by rolling attack normally. On success => successful grapple. So the enemy can be single grappled or double grappled. And then the shove begins, basically a Strength check pitting our combined Strength vs the enemy's Strength.
