Re: OOC Thread 4

In reply to Caith Cernach (msg # 921):

I think the point is to have a damned good laugh...  But seriously, its got to work...  cracking 20 odd jokes where we all go stone faced ain't gonna' make it.  Just need one memorable one....

Oh man, way back when I was in Nims game I was cracking so many jokes..  Kores was supposed to be funny to everyone except him...  That time Dann stood by when he told the whole village he'd much rather talk to the village idiot, make for more interesting conversation...

Unfortunate but sometimes I do laugh at my own humour...  Heh, at least it works for one person...

"Every village has an idiot, and since the internet? Those idiots have gone global..."
And I should know, as I'm often one of them.

Ah well, best go see about dealing with a certain pack of idiots that includes Caith.
Which leaves Brannon and Dann to keep an eye on the oxen, the cart, Chlainn's horse, and Garm's corpse.

Could pack the body in salt, I suppose, or collect enough to find out how pure the salt is. Like I said, salt's worth a fair bit of money, even if it tends to screw farmland up.

In reply to Kores Varias (msg # 924):

Very droll, and about the standard I'd expect of a Beer & Pretzels game's wit. :)

In fair warning, Caith is unlikely to respond to any physical attempts to 'discipline' herself in a way that the would-be chastiser will enjoy, nor is she likely to allow such acts to occur within earshot of her if she can help it either.

Of course if it's just a bit of fun between consenting parties? She'd just make her apologies and leave the nice lady to continue horsewhipping her husband in private. ;)

We should declare ourselves tax collectors in the name of King Hadric!!!  Tax rate is all the assets of the dead!  Don't forget to search for gold teeth!

You want dead pirates for gold teeth, or so Roman history tells me.
And we ain't tax collectors for the living, more like corpse collectors by the load on the cart so far.

Also in the words of Odo the Hook, burglar and disabled veteran:
"The lesson on 'Looking with the eyes, not the hands' starts now."

Yeah, its safe to assume you know everything that happened and where things are in a general sense if you were listening to Dann.

IE. Anyone who was listening to Dann knows that Colm burned the remains of the bandits and Blackie in a stacked pile outside the cave.

Cool. I know he mentioned not describing dead/absent party members, so I just wanted to be sure what we did and did not know. :D

Re: OOC Thread 4

In regard to Ùruisg being helpful or baneful?

They're mostly helpful, but like Colm, they can be rather wilder in behavior if angered.
Indeed, Caith would be inclined to treat a Ùruisg as she would a Cunning Man or Hearthwarden of uncertain temper and somewhat similar taste in clothing to herself.

In short, be respectful, and don't offer a chap possessed of a perfectly good pair of goatskin 'trousers' already any unwanted fashion advice or donated clothing, however well intended the gift. They do apparently accept snacks and beverages though.

I would add more info, but I'm a tad busy IRL this morning. Back in a bit.

Taking it to here because of necessity.

There is a river outside.
There is a subterranean lake before you.
All of this was described in the Southbound Thread.
Its too dark to see how wide the lake is.
Swimming in maille with a backpack will kill you.
