I have got an idea what has gotten you so many enemies Dean. Waller says to Jericho. Arms crossed with a steady voice he shows no fear. "Whatever politics are going on in the background I got a job to do. You involvement complicates the situation. This is me asking you to step back."

Jericho nods and smiles. He puts out his hand. "I am glad I can rely on you to do the right thing. I'll stay out of your way the best I can Agent Waller. It's a deal." Waller shakes his hand but Rylis does not let go. He pulls Waller closer. "If anything happens to those Kayla, I promise you a reckoning of such magnitude unlike anything you have ever seen." Waller pulls back and glares at the Dean's threat. Rylis smiles and walks away.

He stops momentarily in front of Mr. Striver. He looks him up and down with the eyes of a wolf judging wither a rabbit is to scrawny to tear apart. "Be careful out there." He says with an emotionless chill in his voice.

Stands his ground but Striver looks away and puts some more anti-bacterial hand sanitizer on his hands. It makes him feel better, but not by much.

Seeing the door open Agent Waller approaches Kayla. "Miss Stone, would you please accompany me to the local police station, there are some things we need to discuss there."

From Kimberly and Kayla's Dorm

Kimberly slouched against the wall when the agent met them, glaring at him and the lawyer if she could see him but other wise remained silent. She would let Kayla take the reins for this one, they were her parents after all.

Waller sees Kimberly's glare and turns to face her. He doesn't say anything for a second. "Miss, is there something you need?" He says unflinchingly.

In reply to Kimberly (msg # 6):

Kayla spoke quietly to Kimberly.
"Of course he's a scumbag, Kimberly.  He's a lawyer.  They're all like that."

She turned to the agent.
"I'm ready to accompany you, Agent Waller.  And I would like Ms. Kivper to accompany us as well."

It was spoken more as a given, then a request.

The lawyer shakes his head and frowns. "Unfortunately we must discuss some matter that involve the Stone Trust which I cannot divulge to..."

Striver does not finish before the Agent cuts him off. Waller speaks up with a smile. "I don't think there will be any problem related to this matter. If it would help your state of mind to have a familiar friend with you, then I would be glad if Miss Kivper wouldn't mind coming."

Melora sat atop the roof of the building, her legs idly kicking back and forth as her fingers twirled in a lazy figure eight, rocks following the motion as they danced in the air in front of her. "Ye know, I've been meanin' to ask ye why ye always do tha'." Melora looked straight ahead, a glazed look coming over her eyes though her concentration never wavered. "Because it's relaxin', tha's why." "Why tha' though? Why no' knives or axes or some kin'a weapon?" "I use wha' I've go' 'andy an' there's always rocks where ever ye go, tha's why I use rocks. An' 'ave ye ever been 'it in the 'ead with a rock? I can tell ye tha' it 'urts like 'ell." A frown crossed her face, a small growl issuing out. "I know, an' I promise ye tha' I won' ever le' anyone 'urt ye like tha' ever again." "I know Melora, I know." She went back to watching the sky while her rocks danced to a tune only she could hear.

That is a nice tune... Where did you learn it? Say listen, Melora... I need you to go do something for me. Would you do that? I need you to go somewhere.

Melora froze, eyes widening as the rocks tumbled out of the air as her concentration shattered. No. It couldn't be, not again. Natasha...is that you? She asked, hoping and praying that it was though she knew that it wasn't.

Calm down Melora... It's okay. The familiar voice sent a chill down her spine. All that matters right now is that you go to the parking lot. Do it now, calmly.

Re: Dorms-Female
She shuddered, closing her eyes as her worst fear was confirmed. She had come back, just like she said she would and Melora knew better than to disobey. Even the rough and tough Sheshona was too scared to object. Pushing herself off the building she allowed herself to free fall before catching herself in her telekinesis, a little trick Sheshona had taught her. Landing gently on the ground, she took a few moments to try and wipe the terror off of her face and get her breathing back down to a normal rate.

We shouldn't keep her waiting. No, let's go. She set off to the parking lot, only a slight tremble in her hands to betray how she was feeling.

Meanwhile on the roof...
As golden disc carries Joshua, Kayla, and Tom to the roof. Tom gives a wide eyed gaze at the disc below himself. Being partially transparent he is both scared and excited by the prospect of this. "So... uh... you do this often?"

Re: Meanwhile on the roof...
Kayla smirked at the young man, not sure whether to be amused by the odd pickupish line, or not.  She shrugged.
"Do you mean do I hide fugitives from the law, or do you mean ride on golden disks of psychic force?   They have very different answers."

On the roof, she looked at Tom seriously.
"So, what's your plan now?"

Re: Meanwhile on the roof...
"Plan?" Tom looked at her with a frown. He looked at Kayla a moment. anything she was wearing that was not designer brand was custom made. The outline in her pocket suggested a nice phone, expensive one too. She was money and a thief like Tom could smell it.

Having met people like her before he knew figured there would be parts of her that would by trying as hard as they could to sympathize with him. However being from such different worlds, her continual instincts would judge him, and in the end, probably win over.

"I do what I have to. I run. People are trying to kill me."

Re: Meanwhile on the roof...
Kayla nodded, trying to think.
"Unless you vanish without a trace, I suspect that running will only get you so far.   You need to try to find out what's going on.   Perhaps we can help you try to explain things to this boss, if there really was a set up by someone else.   Unless he's just trying to get rid of you, in that case you need to bring him down.   We might know some people who can help with that."

Re: Meanwhile on the roof...
Tom thinks about it. However the thought scares the hell out of him. "This guy is dangerous Nancy Drew. You don't just go after these people. And essentially everyone in that whole city...hell, the whole state... is after me. Your plan is that I go back there?" He turns his back to Kayla and takes a step to make some distance. "Let's just find Kim."

Re: Meanwhile on the roof...
Kayla was getting very tired of bullies and thugs, but she also had no stomach for Tom's spinelessness.   Granted, he'd been through much more crap than she had, but his own arrogance, and the seemingly minimal nature of his regret in all this, was grating too.   She was just sick of all of it.

She rolled her eyes.
"Fine, John Dillinger, let's get you to the next building, and keep watch for the Sheriff to leave."
She'd motion for him to get back on the disk, to try to take it next door, in case the Sheriff came to the roof.

From their spot on the roof, and even within the building they saw the Sheriff walk out of the building. He was greeted by Dean Jericho and the two made their way into the campus to discuss things.

Re: Meanwhile on the roof...
Josh had very little that he wanted to say. The guy was their friend and not his, but he did want to help them out.

"Do you think we have enough height on a disc to start following the Sheriff from range and in the sky? If we can track him, then maybe he will start searching in dangerous areas and we can help him out if he gets stuck. That would put us in his good books and he would be more inclined to help us out of this jam." suggests the lad.
