"So you say Havoc finally tired of causing havoc?" Nodoroc said, not bothering to finish the Oreos in the latest MRE. "What other surprises come with our rescue?"

Jon's jaw dropped.  "The guy who got us out of there... was Ground Zero?"  Jon looked very startled by this revelation; he'd heard those stories.  He was all too familiar with the works of "Ground Zero".  He looked at the doctor.  "So... why is Havoc so trustworthy?  What makes you so sure of it?"

"The war ended 5 years ago. Three of those years, he was rotting in Danver's Institute for the mentally insane. The other two he was saving the lives of mutants."

"Besides that, he's been working at Reign Mutant Academy for the past six month." Temples says with confidence, even pride. "Elsa Reign gave her personal approval for him staying."

A murmur is raised through the tent. The commotion is dying down. Rylis Jericho walks in flanked by two armed guards. He stands up on a chair. "Can I have your attention please?"

"My name is Rylis Jericho, and it has come to my understanding that there are a number of you who despite your rescue at our hands, do not trust us."

"I would like to explain the options on the table right now. If you don't trust our motives, I want you to know that I don't really care. On the left side of the camp are several trucks. There are some supplies in the back. If you want to leave take it."
Temples gets visibly angry at his suggestion, many people want to leave but should stay for medical attention.

"Also, the MHA is offering to move you to where ever you want. An official is going to come in here in about five minutes. They will ask you your name, what you can do, and where you want to go."

"Finally, there are four mutant sanctuaries willing to take people in. Reign Academy, St. Ignatius, West Haven, and the Thurgood Institute."

A visit from Mercy, a handful of Ibuprofin and about a dozen bottles of orange juice was all it took to get Terri back on her feet, well that and a powerful need to visit the toilet but at least she could upgrade her condition from 7/8 dead to only 1/3 dead with the possability of life after coffee.  Returning from the latrine she passed the small group and overheard part of their conversation.  Looking at Johnathon she cocked her head to one side.  "Didn't you used to be hairier?" she inquired.  "I'm glad you both made it out.  What about the young girl, she wasn't looking so good, is she allright?"

When Jericho came in Terri quickly sat down to listen too whatever he had to say.

Jon smirks at Terri's question.  "I shaved."  As Jericho entered and made his speech, he scowled.  Between him and what he'd heard before, it was clear that they had their goals, and they were gonna pursue them whether people believed them or not; if someone didn't trust them, they were free to walk away; at the very least that's the front they put up.

They didn't put a lot of effort into looking trustworthy, but so far, Jon felt that actions spoke louder than words.  "I'm staying.  Once I'm good to go, I won't be looking for sanctuary.  I'm going where I can do the most good."

"Reign academy isn't bad.  I go there my self.  Not sure how much the degree will be worth but I plan on having a solid rep. By then anyway.  As for Havoc, he isn't a mad scientist, just crazy.  That, and he seems to be incapable of building anything that won't spontaneously catch on fire, burn, or explode or catch on fire, burn and then explode. I think it may have something to do with his mother and a breast fetish."

Nodoroc laughs at the young girls description of Havoc. If someone who might not have known him before could speak so highly of him than maybe he wasn't so bad. "So you say Havocs no longer the kind of crazy that makes him a danger to himself and others. What about his particular brand of crazy?" He says nodding towards Jericho. All of a sudden the no quarter order made sense.

Elizabeth smiles at Terri and her assessment of Havoc. "He tried to fix a vacuum cleaner once. Tore the floorboards right out of the ground." She laughed quietly.

"Nodoroc..." Temples sits her old firend and clasps his hand. "Jericho's dismissal and generous offer of freedom is careless and dangerous. I need to ask a favor of you. Return to Reign Academy with me. I need to know that those bastards did to you in the labs. If there is something they did that has prolonged effects, we need to know about it." She gives him a look of concern.

Nodoroc nods and with a little effort moves his sore old body up onto the examination table. "We've all been through a lot, some of us for years, many of us are probably terrified at the thought of more examinations. You might wonder if this is your one chance to finally see your family again. But this is not true. The people here saved us not because of some hidden motive but because it was the right thing to do. If you want to see your families than please, take the care they would want you to, seek treatment for the damages those monsters caused us. Let these experts, not greedy flesh merchants but doctors, sworn to do no harm, make sure you can return to your loved ones in full health. It is what I will do."

The crowd is unsettled with a wave of emotion. A small group who were dead set against trusting the Hunters are necessarily moved. They imagine how maybe Nodoroc might have been tricked, or even planted by the Hunters. Those who were on the fence are more inclined to listen. He gathers a good deal of support. Some of the medical staff, Mercy and a few other doctors, smile at the older man, his words may have saved lives.

"A lot of people say that the Academies are just terrorist training grounds but they're not.  All of them are fully accredited Universities but they also train us on how to use or talents and on how to best defend ourselves.  I don't want to fight anyone..." A shudder shook the blue haired girl as she thought about what she had done not that long ago.  "but if i do need to fight to defend mself or someone else then I want to know how to do it to the best of my ability."  Terri swallowed hard.  "I just hope I never have to do it again."  Pasting on a smile she turned her attention back to Johnathon.  "You should at least visit the Academy if for no other reason than to meet our resident werewolf.  Of course she isn't really a Were and she is only partially a wolf and unless she is seriously pissed off she is a very nice person."

Jon looked over at Terri.  "It sounds like a nice place.  Maybe I should pay a visit, check it out.  I'll admit, I'm curious about the girl."  He thought for a moment, then walked over to Terri.  "Look, I don't know what it is you can do, but however you helped back there, thanks.  I tried to do what I could to get people out of there, but I did it alone, and I just ended up getting caught myself.  So, thanks for helping to do what I couldn't."  He placed a hand on her shoulder, and offered a warm smile.

"Not a Documentary, but I do want the events there to be documented.  If we ever get a chance to bring these...people...to trial I want to be able to show what they were doing.  I'm a Journalist, not a reporter.  I think documenting the truth is more important than putting the approved spin on what happened."

Jon smiles and nods.  "Not enough people who think like that.  If you're any indication... alright, sure.  I'll check out the Reign Academy.  Who knows, maybe I can figure a few things out for myself while I'm there."  He had to admit, he *was* curious what Terri meant about the resident wolfgirl.  Well, he supposed he would see for himself soon enough.

Lynn shuffled by with the big eyed half awake, half asleep, alternate reality zombie shuffle.  Whydo I has to answer fone?" she mumbled as she passed.  A few seconds later she came back the other direction.  Blinking at Nodoroc owlishly she informed him, "Your Mother said not to go out without your hat."  This dire pronouncement was punctuated by a massive yawn.

The logistics of getting the Red Basin Desert Base up and running were extremely hard to pull off. Getting it to disappear would be even harder. Temples put her hands on Lynn's shoulders. "Nodoroc, can you take care of her? I have other patients. She should come with us back to Reign Academy."

Lynn blinked owlishly at Nodoroc's choice of headgear, head tilted to one side.  "That is a crappy hat but I guess urine complience.  Oreos are good with milk but oatmeal butterscotch are better but Dad isn't here so we can't have those.  A mug of steaming Irish Coffee is what I really want but I would be happy with a cheese sandwich and a cup of Sanka."

Lynn yawned again and gave herself a full body shake.  "NNNnnneeghHHU!  I feel about half alive.  Anyone know what time it is or what day it is even?  I need to call my Family and let them know I'm alright.  Dad is probably a nervouse wreck and I bet Mom is ready to kill somebody."

Terri couldn't help a chuckle at Lynn's comments,  It seemed the young lady had an quick and slightly skewed sense of humor that could prove to be interesting.  "Well, I can't make any promises about a cheese sandwich but I bet we can do better than a cup of Sanka.  These type of operations practicly run on Coffee so I bet we can find you some.  I was just heading for the mess tent myself in search of some so if you want to come with your more than welcome.  I can tell you about Reign Acadamy if you're interested."

The medical staff fought the oncoming chaos of the logistics of getting a few hundred rescued mutants headed to where they needed to go. The saving grace was that the operation was now complete, and the need for secrecy was over. The MHA now called in it's considerable resources. Before Jericho would not risk their large bureaucratic organization  with leaking the intelligence, but now there were a dozen medical staff expected to arrive every hour for the next day or so.

Two hours later, the announcement sounded for those who wanted to go to Reign Academy. Armored convoy leaving in 40 minutes. Temples and Mercy marked a few patients that were going with them.
