Shenanigans!

*waves* Howdy. As you can tell, I'm pretty far along...the fact that a lot of the cast of Deadwood is represented in the character portraits helps. Speaking of which, ever seen it? I plan on drawing a lot of inspiration from Deadwood...

When you announced this game, I had already resolved to see the show Deadwood. Or to finish it, rather. I'm a rather great fan of many of HBO's television series, and I saw the first two episodes of Deadwood. Sadly, I never finished it for a variety of reasons, but I've always been meaning to.

Maybe now I'll have yet another reason to do so.

I've so foar gotten through the first season...haven't picked up the others yet. But it's a good show.

Apparently it was terminated prematurely by HBO because of cost or whatever, but I've heard it was great. And I think Timothy Olyphant, who plays Seth Bullock, is a great actor. In any case, I'll be watching it sometime soon I think.

Good show indeed.  Wish to see more meself.  Only ever caught the first few and a scatter of them later.

Me. I just stumbled upon this game from the players wanted. I feel  left out *sniff* *grin*

I'm right there with you, saw it from the player's wanted ad.

Anyone interested in forming a link in our backgrounds?

I haven't fully detailed out my character history (dealing with car troubles, grumble grumble) but by and large he is going to be a Lakota brave that journeyed out to Gomorra in the Great Maze with an old shaman from his tribe named Joseph Eyes-Like-Rain with the goal of helping to stave off the entry of a powerful manitou into this world. In that battle, he would have fought alongside Agents, Rangers, Collegium scientists, common criminals, Blessed and more. After the end of that threat (and one part of the Doomtown CCG story), he traveled across the country on his way home working as a scout for railroads (Denver Pacific at first, and when he returned to the Sioux Nation, Iron Dragon). I think that should open up opportunities for a shared story for a variety of characters based on background, geographic locality, etc.. Send me a PM if you're interested.

I actually was going to suggest characters speak about possibly linking up backstories. As I wrote in the Character creation thread:



I wanted to let folk come up with backgrounds first before I pushed this. Since most of you are far along enough to have backgrounds thought out, go ahead and chat here about things. Or, if you want to tie your backgrounds to secrets, then PMs might be the way to go.

The Professor was in Shan Fan a year or two ago so its possible that in his travels he met up with you and shared an adventure on your way back home. That's perfectly in character for the Professor.

Yeah, I don't think Xiaohan will have any contacts beyond the met-in-bar level with the range o' folk so far.

@Prof & Zach - Just finding out who hasn't had their share of general crazy yet. ^_^
