Actually, the Gang-up bonus is +1 per other ally adjacent to the foe, so it's only +2 if there are 2 others next to it (the one between Moses and Walks The Night Alone, for instance).

If you want to cast in the same action that you attack, you'll take a -2 penalty on both the casting roll and the attack roll (which means you would fail to hit) unless the power is the one you chose for your Adept edge, which can be cast as a Free action but only targets yourself.

Ah.. Okay, the free action thingy I knew, I just thought I had to roll for it to work.

You do have to roll for it to work. It just doesn't eat into your actions for the round.
