I think that's intended to be something trying to lure Kari out, since she's totally clammed up in the other scene. Not like it applies to us, anyway, since we're off planet.

Cooking myself a steak as we speak, and then maybe a few episodes of Dollhouse. I'm totally a party animal, don't you know?

You?

Cooking some Kraft Dinner, gonna play some games.  Maybe do a bit of writing, since I only made it half the year on that New Year's Resolution last time, heh.

Yeah, my resolution this year is to do better at my resolution from last year. Which reminds me, I might finish coloring Niccolo tonight, too, after my Dollhouse fix.

My resolution this year will be to write my story (stories).  No time frame, because I think that was my problem.  Makes it feel like work.

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
So I'm at a point in Inquisition where I need to basically knock out a dam to drain a lake so I can get to the Big Evil Thing in the center of it.  Before I do so though, I look around the area.  As I'm passing by an old fort on the edge of the basin the water will drain into... I hear a deep rumble.  Not Earthy, not weather... no, it sounds like a growl, but not quite.  Something big, whatever it is.

A bit of sleuthing, and I find what the sound is.

Snoring.

Dragon snoring.

Now, I'm no stranger to dragons - killed the Frostback Dragon earlier, was tough as hell.  This thing though... well, from my vantage point I could see it had big fucking horns jutting out of its head swept forward; a body that looked like some kind of spined lizard, yet aquatic; and it seemed to be multiple, rather vibrant colors.

And it was sleeping in that basin.  Where I will be dumping a million gallons of water.

Great.

Good news!

I found an old note in the fort.

"Don't be so stingy!  Give up the last of your Rams if you have to.  I'll be gone hunting for a week, so remember: bring the dragon a hundred pounds each morning.  That seems to keep the monster full enough she doesn't wonder what there is to eat inside our homes."

Good thing this area is overrun with undead and all but abandoned.

So if you bribe it with a hundred pounds of rams, it perhaps -won't- eat you for trying to drown it? That seems very... forgiving of it. Did it work? :)

Well, flooding its home seems to have pissed it off.  Fortunately, it hasn't directly attacked me.

On the other hand, it is fucking terrifying.

Well, I killed it.

Turns out Vivienne, the courtly noblewoman mage, is the Dragonslayer.  Seriously, she's badass.

So, since I have tomorrow off, wanna watch some RWBY?  If you're around, of course.

I may be available for part of the day, so if the times coincide, absolutely. Got a doctor's appointment early in the day, and the kids are due home later - but I'm not sure precisely when they'll show up. Hypothetically, though, I should be free for a bit between the two.

Might not be able to get -all- of season 2, but we should be able to kill at least some of it.

Well, aside from maybe a trip to get groceries, I should be around most of the day.  Let me know when you're on!

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
Hmm, if we're moving on, I probably won't get a chance to have Tessa speak up with Marrok, since that requires the group there to break up, sort of.

And it's nothing big.  She'd just catch up to him and ask as genuinely friendly-like if he's actually avoiding her.  Different branch, sure, but he's really bad at lying and being subtle, and the slipping out the far door thing was far from subtle.  I kinda suspect there would have been other small things to give Tessa a hint at some point too, heh, even if that's not what's actually happening.

Well, that scene will end, so if she wants to ask, she might get a chance. Or that works, either way.

Obviously, back at the house now, and trying to scarf down some lunch, but I could be ready for an hour-ish of RWBY in fifteen minutes or so. Not sure if I'll get more time than that or not, but I can definitely get in an hour.

And.... kids are back. So there closes my window, alas. We'll just have to call it a miss and raincheck for another time.

Well, I did warn you last night that I didn't know when the kids were due back!

Granted, I also didn't expect to spend three goddamn hours at the optometrist, either. Which was NOT how I wanted to start my day, so there is that.

So here's a question for ya: for our little timeskip, where d'you want to start back out?  Way ahead, arriving at Mandalore, or more to the end of the stay at Port Nowhere?

Hm. Let's go with end of the stay at Port Nowhere, unless cutting ahead to Mandalore works better for your writing flow.

That sounds good to me.  I didn't have a preference either way really.  I'll put up the thread once I have a proper post for it.  Unless you can think of one yourself in the meantime of course.
