Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
You JUST realized!?  That one was only at, what, like almost 3000 posts?

How much vodka have you HAD?! <.<

...and now, see, I never 'accidentally' drink a case of beer.  That takes some time and effort.  Sometimes it's like 'when did I have that fifth/sixth one?', but never an accidentally the whole thing issue.

But yeah.  It all tastes like potatoes, unless it's flavored, but even then it just tastes like flavored potatoes.  It's a weird sensitivity, because I mean, I don't taste corn in my whiskeys.

...although gin does taste a bit overmuch like juniper.  But then, I've kinda gotta be really hard up to drink gin.  I had a college roommate that actually drank gin and juice.  Ruined me for it.

Enough.  Hush.

Anyway, I don't drink beer period, unless its with company... not fond of the taste.  But one or two well made cocktails... they'll knock you out faster than any amount of beer.  That, I know from experience, since the most I've gotten out of beer is a light buzz, and a strong need to visit the washroom.

Gin and juice?  Eew.

I know, right? Gin and juice is just... terrible.  I mean, I used to could appreciate a good Gin & Tonic, since that's what my mother always drank, but not after that roommate.  Gin can stay far the hell away from me, thanks.

I'll keep my vodka/bourbon/tequila/rum quartet.

I'm a sucker for a good Even Williams bourbon and Dr. Pepper.  mmmm.

Beer, really... I think it's all about what you have it -with-.  I mean, a nice mexican beer with some chili or tacos?  That's good.  Good lager with a cookout on the barbecue, or some nice Guinness (yeah, I'm a chick, I drink Guinness.  Deal.) with a good stew?  That's good.

Sitting around and just -drinking- beer by itself? Meh.

I'll agree to that quartet right there.  One each depending on the mood.  Tequila for shots, vodka for coctails, rum for guys' nights, and bourbon for sipping... even if I mix it up.

See, the thing about beer is this: in every situation where beer seems like a good combination... another type of alcohol or mixed drink is better.  Its like, why would you choose a no-name brand when the more expensive, higher quality name brand happens to be on sale for the exact same price?

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
Mmm. I'll disagree that an alcohol or mixed drink is -always- better, course part of that is my personal preference.  Most mixers tend to be rather sweet, at least when it comes to the things I mix with bourbon or rum, and when I'm eating I don't really like a lot of sweet to drink.

So, with a barbecue or what-not, a few cold beers works better for me, just because there's no sweet overload.

I'm digging this tequila with the limeade, though.  It's like a ghetto margarita, without all the girly mixing or the blender.  Rum and I, we have an iffy relationship.  I like it, especially Sailor Jerry's, but sometimes it's just too... rum.

Bourbon, on the other hand.  I remember being six years old and drinking off my dad's Bourbon & Cokes that he'd leave lying around the house.  I love me some bourbon.

In other news, I love how Helene has automatically assumed Lyka's on that floor for a booty call.  Because there's totally not, like, another twenty-some people on that floor that she could possibly be friends with, or anything.

Despite the fact that, you know, she probably is, right?

Anyway, doesn't have to be a cocktail.  Rum and coke for instance, I'd take over beer in most cases.  Or coke with a bit of vodka.  I much prefer soft drinks to the shitty taste of beer, heh.

Oh, honey, I know exactly why she's there... and it's not for a nap.  Although it is for a shower.  With assistance.

Hm. I've never tried coke with my vodka.  I tend to stick to the fruit juices for that, although I do love lemon in Coke, so I may have to give the citron and coke a try... hm.  Dammit man, now I need more vodka!

Hawt.  I'd love to be a fly on that wall.

You should totally rectify that though.  Vodka's awesome, never run out!

Nice.  Though, El's waiting on a reply from Thea, before he can properly react to Lyka's entrance.

Actually, it strikes me that Thea, too, could clue El into Lyka's thing with Zeke.  Not the full details, perhaps, but she'd confirm that they had relations, and seeing them still together would telling.

You want a confession?

Thea -knows-.  Skim back through the things she was telling Marrok and El in the other Warriors thread.  She knows exactly who it was that Lyka was with at the bar, although she didn't realize it until the morning briefing, of course.

Now, getting her to tell El, that's another story...

Oh, I know.  I'm not that dense that I missed that part.  It just occurred to me that Thea would be able to confirm, if El doesn't get a chance to chat with Kat.  She might not outright tell him, but, well... if El basically asked her if Lyka had met Zeke already?  She doesn't seem the type to outright lie.

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
I have a feeling that in five minutes of game time, it might be -obvious- that Lyka's met Zeke already.... even if Helene's post is in a horrible location.

But yeah, I don't know if Thea would lie to cover.  *ponder* Let me rephrase, Thea would probably lie to cover something for Lyka if she asked her to, but since she's not been asked to, I don't think she would.

That reminds me, I need to get Lyka to figure out what night we're all going clubbing. *sagenod*

Eeexactly.  And since Helene's probably more interested in Darova, and Kirika's not looking for 'good friends' yet, El gets to focus his attentions on having fun with Thea.  Or something.

Anyway, what will be, will be.  I just hope I don't come home tomorrow to find a billion posts in that thread, and El and the Angels forgotten.  Granted, only Aimi and El are waiting on responses, and I trust Jaina not to miss 'em... but once Aimi moves on to Helene's boys, and so on... eh.

I don't think it'll be a postfest during the day.  If it is, it'll probably be something like Gideon talking to Marrok.  That's the nice thing about a -huge- scene is that the people who want to post constantly can break off into a corner and post constantly.
