Discussion 02
Fine, have your new thread.

Well, I can say I have no plans to kill off those two, I'm not that mean.  Then again, most of my mean-ness tends to be directed at characters I create.  I'd be hard pressed to come up with anything bad even for a side-character you threw in, like the members of Aquila.

*laugh*

Hey, there's some good anime info and stuff back in that other one that might be lost otherwise! Besides, it's not like we're pushing the thread limit by any stretch.

...and now, don't feel like you can't be mean to my side characters if it works for the plot.  Like, I still fully expect Tiniq to come back and meet some horribly tragic end, and ... okay, no, the Aquila pilots are just fun.  Although I wouldn't mind blowing one up if it worked for the story and all, without a doubt.

Well, with regards to Tiniq, I intend for him to make an appearance, but the ultimate result of that is entirely up to you.  You'll see.

Oh, I'm sure I will.  I look forward to all the little twists and turns.

I'm poking at a post for you, but to be perfectly honest, I'm having one of those days where nothing's remotely fun and everything seems like a chore, so don't hold your breath for it today hun.  (Although filling out the outline for this post is first on my list if I find the motivation to do much of anything besides vegetate in front of the History Channel.)

Had a good game just up and deleted out of the blue by a GM last night, without a word, kind of ruined my RPoL mood for the moment.

Ah, that's rough.  I've had a few situations like that... games being ended for no reason, or getting booted for no reason.

There was this one time I joined a game, and my character got into a situation IC over the legality of drinking.  My character, hailing from Canada, was of legal drinking age there (21), but apparently the state the game was in had the legal age being 22 or something.  In any case, one thing led to another, which led to a bit of an argument... and instead of simply letting us (wasn't the only character in this situation) edit our posts and clear everything up... the GM made a big IC fuff about it, and before it could even be resolved IC, said GM up and booted us without a single word of explanation.

The worst part, however, was that said GM had left the OOC chat on group 0, so we could still see it despite not being in the game.  A few players asked about us, and the GM's response was that we were removed due to ongoing issues.  Which, frankly, was BS, because he was the one having the issue.

Oh well.

I've been putzing around in X3 most of the day myself.  Grinding rep in that game can be... trying, but the end-goal is an enticing one.  I've been working with a mod as well, which gives much more enticing goals, such as player owned shipyards...

Re: Discussion 02
That's...ludicrous.  And if by 'state' you mean an American, they were full of it.  The drinking age down here is 21 all around.  Sounds to me like someone just looking for an excuse.

I wish this one had some drama involved with it, we could've seen it coming that way.  Instead, the GM's been gone for a week (he's an Aussie, so we'd just all chalked it up to the wildfires), and the OOC was full of posts saying we hoped he was okay, we weren't going anywhere, etc...

...and then he shows up last night, logs in, and without a word sets the game for deletion.  To which I can only say, 'WTF?'

Player-owned shipyards, though, sounds delightful.  (Ugh. Just found out the basketball game I was planning on watching tonight isn't on a channel I get, either.  The day, it gets better and better!)
